I'm driving a Peterbilt, and I've seen some of the trucks they've got in their fleet. They're a mix of old and new, but most of 'em are in good shape
Might be a good company to work for if you're looking for a paycheck, but if you're looking for a place to grow and learn, I'd look elsewhere
Running a small e-commerce biz ain't easy, but with MN89, Inc. on my side, shipping's a breeze. They've got my back, keeping up with my crazy-fast schedule every single time
I would highly recommend. Customer-focused logistics partner
A bit of a mixed bag, but ok
I'm a current driver at MN89 and they are the best! Excellent working conditions! Dispatch team is professional and recruiting team was very helpful. My truck is good! Money is good also!
I would give this place six stars if that was an option. The dispatch is out of this world, staff is professional and passionate. The mechanics are well trained to do their job, and they do it in shortest amount of time. David and George are the best people of this word and you can trust them completely .
MN89 is a decent company to work for. I really didn't have a bad or good experience with the company. They gave me plenty of miles, I was home a lot, and I made pretty good money. The only reason I quit was because my dispatcher wanted me to drive in heavy snow conditions. I wasn't willing to risk my license. I would recommend this company to drivers because this company is decent.
I'm still waiting for my 4k escrow that this company said it return. As long as I return the equipment to their yard. And that was over a year ago MN89 where's my money!!!!! These companies are the worst they sign you on as a 1099 or contractor or lease driver. And they have no problem at all treating you like a owner operator when it comes to the all the expenses of operating the truck. However, that's not good enough then they also want to control you like a company driver. MN 89 INC. WHERE'S MY MONEY !!!!!!! Just another shady trucking company robbing driver after driver.
I started here 5 weeks ago and I've regretted my decision. Week1$800.00 week2 $1,000.00. Week3 $0.00 Week4 $0.00. My gross for 4 weeks was $18,600.00. Please know your worth as a truck driver. We leave our families to keep our country moving , meanwhile providing for our families .You aren't guaranteed to make it back home. What will your family do with your last check-$0.00 KNOW YOUR WORTH! Look into Illinois Labor Department.
I’ve been here a year and I think they are a good company to work with the work with you on every aspect and are very respectful my dispatcher Mel Stinson is the best I’ve ever come across when he knows how you want to run he does that and doesn’t bother you
I needed to go my glad hand replaced on my tractor that supplies air to the trailer my dispatcher sent me to MN89 to get the glad hand replaced!!! This company got me in and out with repair in 15 minutes time!! I recommend if anyone needs a repair done please give Andrew a call at MN89!!!
There’s money to be made here I highly doubt you get a truck for 700 dollars your truck is going to be somewhere between 1000-1300 the trailer isn’t going to be in the best shape if you pick the 175 option and you’re going to have to sink some money into there’s no forced dispatch they’ll let you run wherever you want to and they have ways to help you keep running it’s a walkway lease you don’t want to be rush through the contract and lease agreement start it early in the morning and not late in the afternoon as far as anybody paying there trucks off idk maybe it happens maybe it doesn’t myself I picked a load dispatch advised me against but I needed to get a friend home who’d been with me on the road long enough to the point his old lady was ready to leave him over it to not have problems with your paycheck make sure you get clear photos of all your bill of ladings and send them to the lady in accounting as well as your dispatcher I mean it’s trucking it is what it is basically you’ll get what you give I’d still be with these people right now if I hadn’t made a horrible choice in taking a load that tied the truck up two weeks putting me so far in the hole I wasn’t gonna kill myself to come out of it my escrow and truck deposit funds should cover the steps they had to take to deal with a horrible customer if you want to make some money come here and avoid food loin dc of center of Virginia and you’ll be more than happy take care of yourself Danny and Ben you’re good people
Im a current driver at MN89 and I really don't have anything bad to say about MN89. I think the key is, picking a truck with less miles. Your truck payment will be a couple hundred dollars more but to me it's worth it. I picked a 2024 international, and I haven't gone to the shop once. Well besides the PM. I manage my fuel and I know how much my check is going to be even before I get paid, because my deductions/fixed cost never change. I have talked to multiple drivers and there are a lot of complaints from them. To not get a check you either have to be always late, don't know how to manage fuel, truck is always in the shop because you went the cheap route, or you ruined the relationship with your dispatcher. I have a great dispatcher but I also know that I can work with any dispatcher at mn89 and the outcome would be the same. The key to success at MN89 is to trust your dispatcher and build that relationship.
ZERO STARS! Scam , Scam, Scam! STAY AWAY! Unless u need an emergency slip through! But be prepared to steadily run illegal, barely make $, run super heavy and pay fo r " absolutely" everything ..including the plane, trai , bus & uber or Lyft..dispatcher .ostikely not even in country ..hell they even stol & rob me of many personal possessions when I quit!
Wow is all I have to say, from Mark to when I came in to fill out my paperwork to the shop guy. Great people, my dispatcher Emma is so awesome to work with and always makes sure you get great loads. My equipment is great!!! Low mileage, extremely clean, brand new mattress. LOVING IT HERE!!!
The best company in the whole USA , they keep good paying loads up and ready hometime is always on time. owner operator have plenty of new semi trucks to choose from both company and owner operator is awesome when they say that got ya they really mean it 6
I appreciate the group. They certainly watch out for us. I appreciate that they make an effort to keep your attitude toward money positive. My dispatcher is a member of the chain; they contact me frequently and look after me. This is the best company I've ever had.
I can't say enough good things about MN89. JJ, the general manager, has fostered a culture of respect and care. It's not just a company; it's a family. Their dedication to improving and innovating shows in their modern fleet, making my job easier and more efficient. They truly prioritize their drivers' happiness and success.
One of the best businesses I have ever worked for is MN89 INC. They have helpful office personnel. I'm friends with my dispatcher quite well. I've driven both their older and more recent trucks, and both run smoothly and are well-maintained. I've hauled a wide variety of loads, which helped me refine my abilities.
My choice to join here as an O/O driver has made me extremely happy. About coming here, everything they told me is accurate. The finest in the industry for both compensation and equipment. I have a great dispatcher named Mick, and
Top-of-the-line equipment, competitive pay, and fantastic team of dedicated people are all here to ensure your satisfaction. Their dispatcher, Anna, consistently goes above and beyond to ensure open communication and successful planning for My truck and loads. After 8 years in the industry, I've finally found my true home at MN89.
Can't complain good company great chance to own your own truck!!!! People are friendly and you make decent money even if you have a mishap they will work with you but you got to be a go getter not lazy this ain't for the week remember your buying a truck as a business owner so there's expenses that come with it so at the ending of your term the truck is yours no balloon payment or nothing can't beat it shout out to my dispatcher Tom
Can't say anything bad the company they was good to me with giving me the miles and the hometime I needed. Great equipment and great dispatcher thank you George for everything you done sir. If I didn't have family issues I would still be there. They you again MN89..
Pay and management were satisfactory. Every company has ups and downs, and this one is no different. A good option for those seeking independent contractor work.
They make big promises but don’t deliver. I worked for a month without earning anything—instead, I ended up owing them money. They charge for everything, even after claiming they will cover costs. They manipulate hours to avoid paying drivers. Stay far away.
Great place to work for drivers who like to stay busy. Plenty of miles and flexible home time. If you want a solid trucking job, MN89 Inc. is worth considering.
Started off rough—my trailer fell apart on the first load. The truck has been fine, but pay could be better. Some ups and downs, but overall, not a terrible experience.
Terrible from day one—long routes, low pay, high expenses. Barely enough earnings to cover costs, let alone take home a paycheck. Dispatch tells you to trust their planning, but that’s a mistake. They take 20% and don’t care about driver well-being.
Had support in various ways, but wish I could have reapplied for a better position. Hoping for better luck with a new company.
Worked as a recovery driver for over six months, retrieving abandoned trucks nationwide. Spoke to several lease drivers who quit due to poor pay. They cut recovery driver wages unexpectedly, which led to my departure. They demand a lot while offering little compensation. Avoid this company.
Poor treatment of drivers—minimal home time, low-paying loads, and cheap equipment. No long-haul routes to the West Coast.
Advice before considering lease purchase: gain firsthand experience before committing. Without it, you won’t know what’s accurate, exaggerated, or false. Best approach: work under percentage or rent so you fully understand rate confirmations. If you drive 2,600 miles and make $1,700, that’s only $0.65 per mile—the same as a regular driver but with all the extra responsibilities. Ask for fees in writing, as hidden costs often appear later.
Deceptive company—misrepresents miles, rates, truck costs, maintenance, and overall earnings. They skim off rate confirmations and enforce dispatch. Cheap loads mean you earn for them, not yourself or your family.
While earning money here isn’t impossible, the system is built for them to profit, not drivers. They use brokers instead of direct customers, take a percentage off the top, and charge an additional 20%. Making money is extremely difficult in this setup.
Still evaluating the company. The staff is good, but it feels like their main priority is collecting truck payments and fees rather than ensuring drivers earn a fair wage.
Haven’t started yet. Everything I’ve heard sounds promising—brand-new trucks and decent terms. Will update after my first week.
Worked for three weeks, but the truck assigned for lease purchase was not what I was promised. Never received a paycheck—started in debt. The trailer was in terrible shape, with broken lights, a filthy interior, and blown tires I had to replace. Hardly any loads, and the few available paid poorly. Glad to have moved on to a better company.
Worst job I’ve ever had. Received a negative paycheck—completely unacceptable. The lease program is terrible. Would never recommend this company.
Requires motivation, but there’s minimal downtime. Earnings accumulate by the end of the pay period. Staff is highly responsive and informative.
