I'm a current driver at MN89 and they are the best! Excellent working conditions! Dispatch team is professional and recruiting team was very helpful. My truck is good! Money is good also!
I would give this place six stars if that was an option. The dispatch is out of this world, staff is professional and passionate. The mechanics are well trained to do their job, and they do it in shortest amount of time. David and George are the best people of this word and you can trust them completely .
MN89 is a decent company to work for. I really didn't have a bad or good experience with the company. They gave me plenty of miles, I was home a lot, and I made pretty good money. The only reason I quit was because my dispatcher wanted me to drive in heavy snow conditions. I wasn't willing to risk my license. I would recommend this company to drivers because this company is decent.
I'm still waiting for my 4k escrow that this company said it return. As long as I return the equipment to their yard. And that was over a year ago MN89 where's my money!!!!! These companies are the worst they sign you on as a 1099 or contractor or lease driver. And they have no problem at all treating you like a owner operator when it comes to the all the expenses of operating the truck. However, that's not good enough then they also want to control you like a company driver. MN 89 INC. WHERE'S MY MONEY !!!!!!! Just another shady trucking company robbing driver after driver.
I started here 5 weeks ago and I've regretted my decision. Week1$800.00 week2 $1,000.00. Week3 $0.00 Week4 $0.00. My gross for 4 weeks was $18,600.00. Please know your worth as a truck driver. We leave our families to keep our country moving , meanwhile providing for our families .You aren't guaranteed to make it back home. What will your family do with your last check-$0.00 KNOW YOUR WORTH! Look into Illinois Labor Department.
I’ve been here a year and I think they are a good company to work with the work with you on every aspect and are very respectful my dispatcher Mel Stinson is the best I’ve ever come across when he knows how you want to run he does that and doesn’t bother you
I needed to go my glad hand replaced on my tractor that supplies air to the trailer my dispatcher sent me to MN89 to get the glad hand replaced!!! This company got me in and out with repair in 15 minutes time!! I recommend if anyone needs a repair done please give Andrew a call at MN89!!!
There’s money to be made here I highly doubt you get a truck for 700 dollars your truck is going to be somewhere between 1000-1300 the trailer isn’t going to be in the best shape if you pick the 175 option and you’re going to have to sink some money into there’s no forced dispatch they’ll let you run wherever you want to and they have ways to help you keep running it’s a walkway lease you don’t want to be rush through the contract and lease agreement start it early in the morning and not late in the afternoon as far as anybody paying there trucks off idk maybe it happens maybe it doesn’t myself I picked a load dispatch advised me against but I needed to get a friend home who’d been with me on the road long enough to the point his old lady was ready to leave him over it to not have problems with your paycheck make sure you get clear photos of all your bill of ladings and send them to the lady in accounting as well as your dispatcher I mean it’s trucking it is what it is basically you’ll get what you give I’d still be with these people right now if I hadn’t made a horrible choice in taking a load that tied the truck up two weeks putting me so far in the hole I wasn’t gonna kill myself to come out of it my escrow and truck deposit funds should cover the steps they had to take to deal with a horrible customer if you want to make some money come here and avoid food loin dc of center of Virginia and you’ll be more than happy take care of yourself Danny and Ben you’re good people
Im a current driver at MN89 and I really don't have anything bad to say about MN89. I think the key is, picking a truck with less miles. Your truck payment will be a couple hundred dollars more but to me it's worth it. I picked a 2024 international, and I haven't gone to the shop once. Well besides the PM. I manage my fuel and I know how much my check is going to be even before I get paid, because my deductions/fixed cost never change. I have talked to multiple drivers and there are a lot of complaints from them. To not get a check you either have to be always late, don't know how to manage fuel, truck is always in the shop because you went the cheap route, or you ruined the relationship with your dispatcher. I have a great dispatcher but I also know that I can work with any dispatcher at mn89 and the outcome would be the same. The key to success at MN89 is to trust your dispatcher and build that relationship.
ZERO STARS! Scam , Scam, Scam! STAY AWAY! Unless u need an emergency slip through! But be prepared to steadily run illegal, barely make $, run super heavy and pay fo r " absolutely" everything ..including the plane, trai , bus & uber or Lyft..dispatcher .ostikely not even in country ..hell they even stol & rob me of many personal possessions when I quit!
Wow is all I have to say, from Mark to when I came in to fill out my paperwork to the shop guy. Great people, my dispatcher Emma is so awesome to work with and always makes sure you get great loads. My equipment is great!!! Low mileage, extremely clean, brand new mattress. LOVING IT HERE!!!
The best company in the whole USA , they keep good paying loads up and ready hometime is always on time. owner operator have plenty of new semi trucks to choose from both company and owner operator is awesome when they say that got ya they really mean it 6
I appreciate the group. They certainly watch out for us. I appreciate that they make an effort to keep your attitude toward money positive. My dispatcher is a member of the chain; they contact me frequently and look after me. This is the best company I've ever had.
I can't say enough good things about MN89. JJ, the general manager, has fostered a culture of respect and care. It's not just a company; it's a family. Their dedication to improving and innovating shows in their modern fleet, making my job easier and more efficient. They truly prioritize their drivers' happiness and success.
One of the best businesses I have ever worked for is MN89 INC. They have helpful office personnel. I'm friends with my dispatcher quite well. I've driven both their older and more recent trucks, and both run smoothly and are well-maintained. I've hauled a wide variety of loads, which helped me refine my abilities.
My choice to join here as an O/O driver has made me extremely happy. About coming here, everything they told me is accurate. The finest in the industry for both compensation and equipment. I have a great dispatcher named Mick, and
Top-of-the-line equipment, competitive pay, and fantastic team of dedicated people are all here to ensure your satisfaction. Their dispatcher, Anna, consistently goes above and beyond to ensure open communication and successful planning for My truck and loads. After 8 years in the industry, I've finally found my true home at MN89.
Can't complain good company great chance to own your own truck!!!! People are friendly and you make decent money even if you have a mishap they will work with you but you got to be a go getter not lazy this ain't for the week remember your buying a truck as a business owner so there's expenses that come with it so at the ending of your term the truck is yours no balloon payment or nothing can't beat it shout out to my dispatcher Tom
Can't say anything bad the company they was good to me with giving me the miles and the hometime I needed. Great equipment and great dispatcher thank you George for everything you done sir. If I didn't have family issues I would still be there. They you again MN89..
Overall I was good with the pay and management. It has its up and downs but show me what company doesn't. Good company to work for if your looking to be an independent contractor.
They promise a lot but they are lying. Worked there for a month and I never made a dime. In fact, I owe them money...they charge you for everything, even if they tell you they will take care of it. They charge you later. They do everything possible to make sure you run out your clock but don't have to pay you. Run away far far away.
Great place to work. If you are someone who likes to run they have the miles. And hometime whenever you like. If your look for a great job, do yourself a favor and call mn89 inc
Shacky start trailer fell apart first load out. Truck hasn't given a problem. Pay could definitely be better. A lot of up and down with mn89. But so far not a completely bad experience.
From the first day horrible...long miles low pay loads and high expenses..not enough money left to pay expenses owed each nor a paycheck going home...dispatchers will tell you to trust the team an load plan..please only trust God..walk run..and if you have to crawl away...Cdl's are a specialty and most drivers have gone through extremes to obtain and maintain them...MN89 doesnt account for this they could care less...as long as they get there20% what you make is a nevermind..
Super dupper supports all of this in another shell wish I had a chance to reapply for the position is working previously maybe better luck with the new co
I worked as a recovery driver for over 6 months alongside 8 other recovery drivers. I’d recover 2-3 abandoned trucks weekly all over the country. Speaking with a few of the lease drivers personally on their reason of quitting & they all say the pay is ridiculous! They recently decided to go down on the recovery drivers pay without notice which is why I no longer work for them as well. They expect so much out of you with little pay!! Run far away from this company!!!
Horrible company, they don't want to give you hometime and their loads don't pay good. Cheap with their equipment. And their loads are short. No west coast loads
My advise before lease purchasing. You should have EXPERIENCE working with the company before committing to any company you've never heard of or have zero first hand knowledge of. You don't know what it true, what's an exaggeration and what is a straight lie. My best advise, work from %percent or rent so that you are actively looking at the rate confirmation and is precisely aware of the numbers, at that point you will realize your just getting the same check as a regular driver but you carry all the responsibility. Look how much you made and how many miles you drove, let's say you made $1700 and drove 2600 miles, thats .65 cents per mile, its what drivers make, I just saved you a lot of headache, your welcome. Also ask about fee's in writing/email, they like to leave those details out, like if there's a truck cleaning/washing fee when returning.
Lie about, miles, rate con, truck payments, truck maintenance, truck payments, they just lie abiut everything overall. They skim of the top of the rate con, they do have forced dispatch, their loads are cheap. You will make money for them, but not for you, and your family.
I'm not saying it's impossible to make money here, however it is set up for them to make money, not for you. They use brokers, don't have any direct customers. They take money off the top, and then charge you 20%. Very difficult to make money, very dishonest. This place is a revolving door.
Still feeling it out !!!!!!!!! Like any company there are pros and cons I think the staff is great but I’m feeling as if they only care about getting those fees and truck payments they don’t care about the driver actually bringing home anything
Have not started yet. Will fill you in after next week. Supposed to have brand new trucks and everything I have heard so far sounds good. Hopefully it will work out
Worked there 3 weeks. Hated the truck i was assigned to lease purchase. It was not what i was assured i would get. Never ever got a check was in the red from the get go. The JUNK trailer they assigned me was better off in a junk heap. Lights didn't work filthy inside and blew 2 tires the first week. That I had to pay for. No loads inadequate loads never made a freaking dime. Was very happy to get away. Got a great job now and making money. Thanks but no thanks to mn89
This is a terrible place to work. I had a check that paid minus. Screw this place. This is by far the worst job I ever had. Lease sucks. I would never recommend this job to anyone.
Got to be motivated. Very little downtime. It definitely adds up by the end of the pay period. Staff is definitely on point when It comes down to filling you in.
