I got approved for a job with them as a lease purchase about 3 months ago. I declined the position. I tried coming back after a bit of reflection and I'm not allowed. I have talked to many drivers here since they refused me. It sounds like I dodged a bullet from what these drivers have told me. They are all looking for other jobs. They hate NAPA. Do what you will. Just another company telling lies to get you in the seat. They'll make money off you while you stay. Walk away lease because they know they won't pay you enough to make it... you will have to walk away. Hopefully before you lose your home. These contractors don't care. Lines are always busy to recruiting. Hmm... if they have this many people coming in and aren't bigger than Swift... why? Because they have the same amount going out. Do not waste your time. Money. And dreams.
I started as a lease purchase; after having too many yo-yo weeks of pay I cleaned out my truck and was ready to walk; when I was asked by management to give the company driver side a try (what a joke) now as a lease operator I did over two thousand miles EVERYWEEK! Struggled to get close to 1500 as a company driver; at .62 a mile who can live off that! Back track to when I cleaned the truck out initially I was told I would receive my maintenance and escrow after 45 days.. 45 days later I get a packet with all these crazy charges of things they “fixed” on the truck.. But I bet if I stayed running crazy for .62 a mile they would have retuned the money.. The only good thing I can say is they will get you home every weekend but if you are a hustler and like money DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! And know they are like any other company out here LIE to get you in the seat of their equipment!
Company seems good but their orientation is more like orientation boot camp!!! They must think their Walmart or something!!! School all over again!! Ridiculous
Lease operators beware! I drove for them for a year. “There’s no freight” get used to this saying. Got all repairs done at their shops never got invoices for repairs, put my 2 weeks notice and was told the work I got done in their shop 3 months prior was not good enough so they didn’t pay me my escrow or my last check so I’m guessing they don’t stand behind their work. They preach safety and hands free yet the driver manager will not pick up your call or return it but they sure will text you while you drive. You will be live loaded and unloaded forced to wait while company drivers get better runs drop and hook. If you’re looking for a career here best look at reputable companies. I have been in the industry 18 years and never experienced anything like this before.
I'm a truck driver. And ya'll have the rudest drivers I've ever seen. 230am pulling into a petrol . Truck # 418037...... parked, then set the air breaks, then release them moves 2 feet. Set the air breaks. Then release the air breaks, and moved 2 more feet. Stop doing rude thing .RESPECT OR SAFETY ARE NOT TOP FOR THIS DRIVER. PARKED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROADWAY.
Horrible company. Book load since yesterday on 18th may . Drove my truck almost 60 miles today to pick their live load and was at shipper at 5.50 am. Around 8 .30 am , after calling them 20 times, these people replied back that by mistake shipper load their own company trailer and I can do power load. First of all I never book power load and I never have exchange trailer insurance. Now this company is refusing to pay me load money because it’s all their broker fault. I am going to send all paperwork and emails to FMCSA and going to file case against this company . There is no TONU . This called layover . Your company hold my truck and trailer for 18 hours and layover fee start from $350/- keep your TONU with you . I don’t need it.
Drove for them for a month and a half. They preach safety, but you'd have to be the most unsafe batso driver on the roads to meet their expectations and goals. When you are in Sleeper Berth under federal law your not supposed to be bothered or woken up outside of an emergency, I blocked my dispatchers number so I could sleep during the day (night driver) and they use the cell phones as a tactic to hide things they don't want in the ELD system. They kept trying to route me into unsafe situations, example, I only have 2 hours left to find somewhere safe to park, dispatch is demanding i can make to a load that's 2 hours away. And then they punish you for it. As for their trucks, mine was literally disintegrating around me while I drove. Company truck broke down twice while I drove it. So when i could get a PM they tried to pull me into a "meeting/punishment for wanting a truck properly serviced". I didn't bite, I up and quit. I have no pity. The stuff that dispatch tries to pull on drivers is borderline criminal/federal offense. Apparently, safety and dispatch departments have never met in that company and don't even know the other department exists. PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR EMPLOYMENT.
I started at NAPA as an intern working in the Operations department for a few months prior to my senior year of college. After filling in for an open Driver Manager slot that summer and helping manage an OTR fleet, I was offered a full-time position for after I graduated from college. Returning to NAPA after graduation was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made. The team at this company is above any that I’ve ever worked with in the past. People will help you if you need it - all you need to do is ask. If someone can’t help you themselves, they will point you in the right direction to find someone to get you the help that you need. I have nothing bad to say about this company and I am super excited to see how they grow in the future. The only reason I left this company was due to another opportunity with better benefits and a faster path for growth. If that opportunity didn’t come along, I doubt that I would have left this wonderful company. If you have a good work ethic, are interested in making an impact, and show a willingness to learn, NAPA will undoubtedly be one of the best work experiences that you’ll ever have. I’m super thankful for my time there and all of the friends that I made along the way.
Fires people for no reason. The only "reason" is because one person doesn't like you even though you're good at your job. That's what happened to my mother and her coworker who started a few months ago. They then escort you out the back like a criminal not letting you get your things. If you're going to fire someone for no real reason then at least let them leave with their stuff so they don't have to return later on for it.
Never Again There is union in company that Napa president and management don't know . 2yrs working with Napa and lease purchase all is gone in one day all the payment that I was paying that truck is gone with two weeks settlement. just because the union who run in Columbus Ohio and Richmond va if you disagree with the route they put you they will find way to kick you out the company.no communication with company trying to reach someone the head management no luck .
Been here since december, 2021 as a local driver. Good pay, not a ton of miles, but that's the trade for being home every night and off weekends. If I want to work weekends, it's always an option here. I had an issue with my truck breaking down repeatedly, but they put me in a new truck and everything had been good since then.
I was with this company for 5 and half yrs and was very dedicated to this company sadly I had something personal happen that I had to move out of state hoping that the company would of had my back and kept me but instead I got terminated but I would recommend this company to anyone and I would have no problem going back to them

Been here at napa for 10 years honestly the best company ive worked hence 10 years.everyone here calls you by your name not a # great pay and benifits bonuses sre phenominal every month and year just do your job and remember here at nap safety first no excuses
Today ,I can said that the Richmond office got a Union.Very happy for those employee's.The owners forgot that it take good driver to have good company.I work their thus the pandemic an caught COVID-19 an was hospital for 1month,An was out of work for three months.I had to get off of work early on Thursday,to go to the heart an lungs doctor.i was told it was going to be awhile to get my lung an heart back to good health. But when Thursday came I need to get treated Josh told me that the beer load is more important than your heart an load an you needed to get that load .Glad they got a union their now
Top of line quality carrier to work for. They have your best interest at heart
Best trucking company that I have EVER worked for! No BS here. They treat you with respect and make absolutely sure to get you home on weekends! Great bonus plan also.
I've been a professional driver for 16 years and started with NAPA with hopes to join their lease to own program. From the start it was a very positive experience. No company or truck is perfect so there are ALWAYS snags, but overall I would, and have recommended NAPA to any driver looking for a company that does what they say they will.... KEEP YOU RUNNING and GET YOU HOME.
They say one thing and don't care what you go threw being your told no one there lies really . They say driver focus trust me there not they care not about good drivers just bad one's they will leave you sit won't call you back and get you home to do just a 34 if your lucky . But if you break trucks and trailers not to do a load and do whatever it takes to get the loads you want then you'll go far in this company . They treated me like I was a nobody and my concern was not important to them
NAPA seems to be trying to improve and that is really all you can ask for in a company these days. the ownership listens and tries to make meaningful changes.
I've had worse jobs. They mostly do what they say. Very good maintenance program. They want things fixed. Except they want to run recaps on everything.
Company works with you, get home time when you need it, competitive pay, good sign-on bonus, over the road regional, local, and some dedicated routes
Trucking is what you make it, the hometime to work ratio is great and I don’t get micro-managed. My truck broke down last week but they were able to get me a loaner and made sure I got home on time for my weekend off. There’s going to be headaches at any company but it’s how they manage those headaches that keep me here.
Horrible place to work no money left after the percentage. Rates are very low compared to operating costs and the owner opportunities versus company drivers taking all the best freight.

Bring I became medically challenged while working as a driver I had lots of doctors appointments. And then I only saw my kids weekends because of their school schedules. So constant mom shame on refusing to work weekends to “make up” for lost time. Then was gaslighted into working past what my body can handle so I can “make the company enough money To pay the dispatch”
