RUN FROM THIS COMPANY! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Only one day after coming out of orientation and being issued my truck, you have me sitting for almost 3 days waiting for a load that is 2 days late. Lazy planners saying there is no other load that they can put me on to pull me off of this one. And if there really is no other load, that means you don't have enough freight to keep drivers busy here. When I ask about layover pay for yesterday and detention pay for today, I am told that I get paid either layover pay or detention pay not both. So you just leave drivers to rot for almost 3 days, don't compensate them in any way, and force them to wait. So I quit and I'm turning in my truck.
Terrible people to work for. It was great for the first 6 months
I've worked there for 10 years and looking forward to the next 10 if God is willing , need I say more?
Well I have been with the company for about 8 months. So far they ha e been good to get my time off that I ask for.
This company offers great pay and genuinely prioritizes its drivers. The biggest challenge is waiting for meat loads, which can be frustrating. However, the work environment is excellent—they treat employees as individuals, not just numbers, and have a strong focus on safety. A typical day consists of staying on the road and keeping things moving efficiently.
I drove over-the-road for NCI for nine years, and they kept me consistently busy. I always felt valued as a driver and truly appreciated the family-like atmosphere. They take care of their employees, making it a great place to work.
