A very trying experience with this company. One of our vendors used them to ship us a pallet. the pallet had to travel 250 miles. Even with the weather delay of one day it is going to take Five days to get it to us. This doesn't make any sense when they have to drive right by us to take the pallet 250 miles past us then transfer to another carrier to drive back 250 miles to bring it to the terminal by us and then we have to pick it up if we don't want to wait an additional day.
Great service! I use them on a daily basis.
I wish I could rate this as -5 stars. I definitely don't understand you are getting something delivered and you need to pay $75.00 so they can use the lift. This looks insane to me and abusive. That means if something is getting delivered to you, pretty much you need to take the load out of the truck or you need to pay in addition for your items. It's crazy.
Disgraceful service. My mother used the company to deliver her new E-Bike to her address. Not only were they four days late on the delivery, they simple refused to actually deliver it. The “delivery” was made an employee named Kyle, who decided the callously dump the bike ON THE STREET instead of delivering it properly. When confronted by my mother he gave lousy excuses and took off, knowing full well my mother alone could not move it without his help. Keep in mind my mother TIPPED Kyle and he still couldn’t care enough to perform 2 minutes of labor (his job). If me her son was not there to help the bike would still be in the street. When my mother called the company to complain they dismissed her and gave the same shameless excuses as Kyle did, while not even once explaining how 60 year old woman is supposed to move a 200 pound box (as well as the pallet they left for her to dispose off) from the street to her home on her own. Don’t trust this company, and don’t trust delivery people who wear army-camo baseball caps.
I ordered an item, paid the freight. They won’t deliver it.They want me to pick it up almost 15 miles away from its destination. And wait another week. Not ok by me. It’s their job to deliver items. They took payment to deliver the package. Then when they should drive it out , they’re trying to negotiate terms. Completely unprofessional. Talked with the manager “Russ”. He threatened me with, “well I can just mark it undeliverable instead”. Very rude, very unprofessional, won’t even deliver the packages they are hired to deliver. I know I live in the Rocky Mountains, I did offer to meet at an easier spot for a truck, but not 15 miles from the destination. This company is worthless.
Ordered a boiler shipped from Denver shipped direct to a customer. The customer refused shipment because NPT had dropped it and damaged it despite the boiler being well packaged. They have offered to pay half of the cost of the boiler and no more even though it is unusable. They dropped it and accept no responsibility. Terrible company.
We spent over $3,000 on a handmade custom piece of furniture that was meant to be delivered to our door. I understand that we live in a remote area of the Rocky mountains, but you cannot accept a delivery of a product as a delivery company and then just simply decline to do so because it's a little bit out of your way. We are now over a month delayed and the delivery company simply refuses to make good on their delivery. I have begged, pleated, cajoled, and even attempted to bribe, all to no avail. The manufacturer of the product has attempted to work with them, but they simply refused to do anything with the product. They are completely unreasonable, unprofessional, and outright rude! If you have the ability to use literally any other company, I highly recommend doing so, or else you will suffer the consequences of such a terrible company.
This company was delivering five vending machines to the same address for me and refused to do anything but drop all five off of the truck and leave. If they simply could’ve pulled the truck forward one hundred feet or so and dropped them in two separate groups for me it would’ve saved me a machine rental and a days worth of work moving them. They wouldn’t even do this for me. Chuck, the driver in Granby at NPT is extremely rude and unwilling to be helpful in any way. It would’ve taken them about 30 seconds but their attitude is we just drop it and go. Not responsive and poor tracking I recommend avoiding this company at all costs! Even there Vice President, Greg Walkup was rude and unwilling to help on the phone. Just overall atrocious customer service.
Called in and no ring, immediately someone on the phone and helped me. Great customer service. Drivers Nate and Kevin are the absolute best.
NPT where truckers run you off the road and when you call the office and tell them what happened, they don't care! He just keeps saying ok, ok, ok....no I'm sorry. I can't belive my drive did that....just ok.
This is a great place to work. Laid back and fair. Potential for a long term career with a great investment/ retirement program. Pretty nice modern equipment provided for drivers.
zero respect for the individual. Horrible place to work! Managers treat you like garbage.
Of course I love this place! I work here! Reliable transport.
You definitely are not a number here. There is no tracking on your location or counting bills per hour, if you have delays there is no need to call in and report your reason. You get hired to do the job and they trust you to complete it.
What is the best part of working at the company? Management worked with me at every turn. The environment was really good and the vibes that I got from all of my co-workers was friendly and supportive. All in all it was a positive experience. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Sometimes the deliveries themselves would be stressful because of difficulty backing or clients that were uncooperative. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? I felt nothing but love from almost all of my coworkers and management. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Show up, load your truck and make your deliveries. Then, text or call dispatch and find out what pickups they had for you that day. You got to leave when the job was done and it was a huge team effort.
Good group of guys. Management is not so good. Pay and insurance is so so. Retirement is second to none. Not much upward mobility. Older more run down equipment.
There was no real training and the culture is horrible. everybody talks c*** about everybody.. The equipment is all junk. Some days you get Told you're doing a great job, but then the other employees wanna talk smack about it. Overall this overall the experience at this company company has been horrible. Their equipment is old and junky and all they want to do is throw bandaids on it.
I left because I was suspended for getting sick. Called with notice, ended up in the hospital, gave a doctor's note, came back earlier than my doctors note stated and still got suspended. Don't get sick if u want a job here and prepare to have 0 life. U will be forced to work weekends constantly with no notice. Never make plans with your family again.
Poor management; Routes were given out per personal preference of driver by management. Whatever management did not want to do, is what you were given.
14 hours a night driving. I was sent out in unsave driving conditions on a regular basis. I was expected to return by 7 am each day no matter how late my meet truck from Salt Lake was.
This place is total Chit show, they do not care about anything other than rush and crush.they don't care if you get hurt, don't maintain the equipment. Wages are subpar, don't pay overtime. Expect you to work over 14 hours and then change your time card so they don't get caught, and you won't get paid for it.
I had to do whatever run they didn't have a driver for. My schedule was pretty inconsistent which really affects a driver's sleep schedule. I had to take one run because the previous driver was caught stealing. I wouldn't recommend working for NPT.
Job is what you would expect with any linehaul position... the only drawback for me is the fact that Denver has a curfew on rocky sets. Very often leads to having to park on ramp for two unpaid hours upon morning return to home terminal.
It wasn't to bad, except for the winter, the only heat you have is putting your cold hands on the muffler for 20 seconds. Monday through friday, got to engage with different people.
Everybody is miserable there, they dangle a profit sharing program, if you want to work two jobs your entire career North Park is the place to be because you have to work two jobs in order to survive because their wages are so low
Lack of communication hurts the company the mosts. Always having to work long hours with no overtime and expected to work long hours. Never knowing what is happening hurts the company.
Working conditions vary, days are long, responsibility is high, there is personal risk as with all truck driving. I learned a lot about cooperation. Management was a lead by example type of situation, otherwise known as all hands on deck. I encountered many difficulties, but easily solved. The hardest part of the job is to create a smooth flow of operation because there is almost no similarity of conditions from day to day, you have to be ready for anything and any kind of attitude. The most enjoyable part of the job is the sense of freedom you get by being your own boss for the time you are driving the truck, but it is entirely your responsibility.
Not to bad to work for....They don't like to pay you for all your hours worked but they do pay for all mileage and you are home every day. They only pay for what they feel is appropriate for dock time. That's the biggest downside to working here. They tell you to be to a terminal to pick up your load at the top of the hour and it isn't ready for another 1-1.5 hours and they will only pay you for 30 mins even though they expect you to show up when they tell you to.
lo w moral for employees from poor management was not a fun place to work management did not care about employees I have no more to say about this company
My co-workers were excellent. You can get lots of experience , involving good customer service as a typical work day , its pretty much up to you to make your day enjoyable at work .
You load your own freight and deliver it.no music allowed in truck.no cell phone.
