Let this company mold you into being a respectful n responsible driver and you'll go far. I screwed up my opportunity n tremendously regret it. Lesson learned but, in life you got to fall sometimes to realize what you had. Hope someday I get a chance to embrace my lost n have again. This company is worth everything n more.

Very good mid size to smaller company to work for. Good location for what it is ... lots and lots of plants and that type going out. Hard work unloading then breaking down .. I only left because my back went out and I couldn't perform the work anymore. I was in a lease with an old wore down truck .. but we kept repairing things and kept it going. They never denied anything I wanted with it .. felt like a good team effort with this company. After you're out, you can stay out as long as you want, unless they need you for more plant loads, running broker loads. My dispatcher was great .. one of the best I've had in 15 years. We worked TOGETHER in finding loads where I wanted to go. Pay was great, percentage wise. People in the office were great. Everything was on a first name basis. Any problems got solved immediately. I'd have stayed on, if I could.

Having been part of the Peninsula Trucking family for a staggering 22 years, I feel it's my duty to counter the recent negative review by Michael Rose. His experience is inconsistent with the overwhelming majority of feedback we receive and is not representative of the true essence of Peninsula Trucking. Being with the company for over two decades, I have seen first-hand the dedication Peninsula Trucking shows to its employees and clients alike. A company's worth is often demonstrated by its retention of staff, and Peninsula Trucking proudly boasts several employees, including myself, who have been with the company for many years. This fact in itself speaks volumes about the positive, supportive culture that permeates every level of the organization. The trucking industry can be unpredictable and challenging at times, but Peninsula has always prioritized maintaining open lines of communication and transparency. This helps to build trust and promotes a problem-solving mindset that inevitably leads to improved service delivery. Moreover, as a team, we are committed to ensuring that our clients' shipments arrive on time and in excellent condition, a commitment that we have upheld consistently over the years. It's this commitment to excellence that has earned Peninsula Trucking the positive reputation it holds today. Michael Rose's review does not reflect the experiences of many others who have worked with Peninsula Trucking. As someone deeply familiar with the company's operations and ethos, I can vouch for Peninsula Trucking's professionalism, integrity, and superior service. It truly is a great company to be a part of and to work with.

ZERO STARS! Actually NEGATIVE 5 stars! Trashiest people to work for. Complain about every small thing and make it out to be YOUR fault if something happens here at the job. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT work here.

I’ve worked in trucking for many years and with several companies, but Peninsula stands out as one of the worst in terms of management. They show little respect when addressing drivers, and when mistakes happen, they cover them up instead of taking responsibility.

The best part of the job is driving, but having to hand unload adds a lot of extra work. The most stressful aspect is the long hours spent driving and unloading. The work environment feels unfair, and the pay isn’t sufficient. A typical day consists of driving, making multiple stops, and unloading, which can be exhausting.

The company treats drivers like individuals rather than just numbers, which is a positive aspect. The most stressful part is dealing with traffic. The work culture is straightforward—work hard, get the job done, and go home. It’s generally laid-back unless you stir up issues. A typical day starts with arriving early, getting assignments, verifying freight, prepping the truck, and making deliveries to multiple locations. After lunch, pickups are completed before returning to the terminal and finishing the day.
