Company is not bad overall but if you buy your own truck I do not recommend leasing on to them with your own truck you will not have a choice to pick your loads just given options not to many freight options with them, I felt I was being micromanaged to an extent even with my own truck. I do not know their company driver side, lease purchase is hit or miss you can do good if the truck you get doesn’t give you to much problems like the one I had prior to buying my truck elsewhere. Some of the fleet managers are not experienced and have no knowledge of how much it takes to operate a semi truck. Those are my issues there.
PGT Trucking, Great company!!!
I worked for PGT and quit 3 times. I was dispatched under Brett Roderick. PGT as a company was good but my fleet manager Brett Roderick would call me stupid. Idiot. Curse and make fun of me. Talk about other drivers. He is very disrespectful and arrogant.
I started working at PGT in 2011. I loved working for the company. I guit 3 days ago. My truck broke down and was put into a loaner. I wasn't able to take the time to get all the things I needed for the loaner. I had no bunk bedding no clothes to change.. no safety gear no work gear no work boots and was told to go to work. How can I do my job and sleep at night uncomfortably. I wasn't putting myself through that and told my dispatcher Frank it wasn't right. He didn't care. I said I wasn't doing it and told him , I'm done. I put my heart and soul into my job. It didn't matter.
Feel really good working for this company. They always take care of me and make me feel like part of the family. And when ever I have an issue they are always responsive!
