My only complaint is that the company could improve its communication with drivers, especially when it comes to load assignments and truck maintenance.

Loading was good. All about 2 hours. Now, the "No Pets and Passengers Allowed " is a bit extreme. But if you do have pets or Passengers, they have you drop the trailer up front and bobtail out of the gate and wait until loaded. I park around the corner on the side of the drive. You can let pets out there. And as others have stated, the truck entry is on the service road just north of Marshall Dr. Look it up on Google Earth...

On my 13 years of OTR experience, this is the best place to pick up I ever had. All employees are nice 👍 they accepted early checking IN, and they loaded very fast. In addition, they have a weight scale! …

Thankful for the opportunity they gave me back in 2022 this company pays good I believe it’s .75 a mile I remember back in 2022 it was .70 they go up on pay every so often to keep up with inflation me and a few drivers ate at a buffet near by really convenient the pay is good but poly has rules and unless your good at obeying rules you won’t qualify and basically they will find someone who will. I worked for them for 6months and I loved it like I said I am greatful the opportunity I racked up some serious cash in 6months I wouldn’t be surprised if a handful of there drivers aren’t millionaires in the next 25 years if they are conservative with there money ofcourse poly came across my mind today for some reason so I decided to leave this review there snacks are discounted for the drivers you can get a ham n cheese hot pocket for like a $1 they give id cards to there drivers and they have loaner trucks n case your truck breaks down most of there drivers run Midwest southwest northwest they do run the northeast and southeast poly has a loadboard but unfortunately they have so many drivers and independent contractors that your chances of getting a handful of loads is limited usually 3-5 options perhaps I went to Minnesota Las Vegas and Arizona and I absolutely loved it they don’t do California though so if your from Cali or likes to go to Cali don’t come here cause you won’t go to Cali lol if you live there or party there perhaps no Cali all there independent contractors go to Cali or visa versa no company drivers can enter the state of California but poly is a decent company they only require 1 year experience and there trucks run 68mph mostly Peterbilts and internationals they are similar to Walmart but there not gonna wash your clothes for you and they don’t have showers other than that it’s a great paying job I have much respect for poly and if you are looking for an excellent career I say give them a try if you have adequate experience

This company has a policy of forbidding dash cams in the truck. This policy is entirely for the companies benefit under the advice of their legal department. This policy has no regard for protecting the drivers CDL and livelihood. I was a driver for this company, and another truck lost control and swerved into my lane causing a crash. Because I was forbidden from using a dash cam, I was unable to prove my innocence. I was thrown under the bus and fired by the company. I was left feeling like a chump and facing legal consequences from the accident. I was left without a job, my vacation time was stolen from me, and have had problems finding another job. Drive for this company at your own risk. Being a CDL driver without a dashcam is like driving without insurance. Most of the time it won’t matter and you might feel like a cool dude getting paid a premium driving for Poly. But you will regret not having it when you have an accident.

This customer does not allow pets or children on the property. They will tell you to drop your trailer and leave. Their only instructions are to stay out of their view. There's a small Texaco gas station a couple miles away that will allow drivers to park bobtail while they're waiting. The bills for my load had the wrong address on them so I ended up driving around looking for the correct entrance. ( I've attached a Google earth pic of the correct truck entrance). I showed up on time for my delivery and the unload still took over 6 hours. They did allow me to finish my break before returning to the property to pick up my trailer. I would say make sure you don't have another appointment scheduled directly after this place because most likely you'll be late.

I have dealt with a lot of different companies about the job opportunities. Today was the first time that I talked to a recruiter that not only was she pleasant, but she was very insightful and gave me a lot of good information not only about the job, but about keeping my information up-to-date, which was a lesson that I learned. Thank you Miss Ruby for all your help. I look forward to speaking with you again. Thank you Poly Trucking for a good recruiter.

Upon arrival both drivers and passengers have to check in with gaurd. Take a mask. If you have a child or a dog you will be asked to drop the trailer and leave the premises. You cannot smoke while on the property. If you arrive early, you will wait until to your check in time and then some. Apt. Time was 3. Arrived at 1. Left at 645. Watch out for security driving around the yard in a blue car. They're grumpy.

Awesome place to work. Some of the complaints I’ve seen on here are outdated so much has changed. We now get paid on odometer. And we get paid weekly for our miles even if the paperwork for that load hasn’t been turned in yet. They have sold the older trucks lowering the age of the fleet. It’s not a perfect place but a decent company to work for. I make money here and there’s a lot of drivers who have been here for years. It’s the type of place you can retire from. I notice the longer I’m here the better it gets.

What is the best part of working at the company? Honestly, not much comes to mind, except that I can bring personal items into the truck. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Driver supervisors provide no support and only approach you when there’s an issue. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Most of the time, they don't even realize you're still employed, and it feels like they don't care. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Driving across states, often dealing with breakdowns or flat tires, and constantly waiting.

Poly has been a unique experience for me. The home time is excellent—you get 7 to 8 days off for every 2,000 miles driven. You can select your loads, and there's no forced dispatch. However, communication isn't great, but if you prefer autonomy, it balances out. The benefits are fantastic. However, the reason most people leave is due to the equipment, which is among the worst I've encountered. Breakdowns happen frequently, though they do provide loaner trucks and compensation. Despite this, the earning potential is incredible for those willing to run hard.

Poly was the best driving position I've ever had. I had to leave due to family responsibilities, but I’d still be there if circumstances allowed. The pay was excellent, and once you learned how things worked, you could keep moving for as many miles as you could handle. Before technology started to limit productivity, I managed 158,600 paid miles in my final year with them. While there were minor issues like the shop being understaffed or certain policies seeming unnecessary, these were manageable. Loaner trucks were available during repairs, so those problems felt insignificant. After a 3.5-year break, I’m ready to return to over-the-road driving and would reapply without hesitation if given the chance because they mostly let you work without interference.

I have an exceptional driver manager who works hard for me. However, the pay system and paperwork process are outdated and cause weekly financial stress. The load planners and dispatchers seem disconnected from the drivers. Loads are unpredictable and inconsistent. Special requests for home time or family events are often ignored. I make an average of $1,659 per week, which is not enough to live on. The company feels chaotic, and I’m looking for a way out.

Poly Trucking pays well, which is the most significant aspect for me. Honestly, there’s not much else to add that hasn’t been covered in other reviews. They pay well, and you can go home as often as you need to.

The company starts by offering a good rate and promising you can choose your loads. Once hired, you realize the trucks are up to 6 years old, heavily used, and lack proper storage space, leaving most of your belongings on the floor. Initially, you can select preferred loads, but this option disappears over time. I’ve had stretches of inactivity lasting up to 5 days, followed by 4 days off a week later, then two days of work and another two days idle. These delays led me to use my savings to cover expenses, ultimately forcing me to leave. Trailers are often in poor condition; one had a one-foot hole discovered after delivery, causing further downtime for repairs.

The company is poorly managed, with unqualified individuals making key decisions based on personal connections rather than competence. It operates on a “good ole boy” system. The focus is solely on their revenue, not drivers’ financial needs. They prioritize contracting freight through brokers and contractors, leaving drivers with low-mileage runs. Downtime between loads is excessive. Poly lacks the efficiency of a trucking company—it’s actually a manufacturing company with trucks. While the benefits are good, and they offer competitive hub mile pay, it’s difficult to earn a decent living due to poor operational management. Payroll is outdated and inefficient.
