Why Poly?

Freight services are a specialized business of Poly Trucking from Grand Prairie, Texas, U. S. Its services include long-haul and short-haul. Deliveries are not delayed, as is often the case with other third-party providers; we achieve this through company-owned trucks in a modern and up-to-date fleet. Cost efficiency, safety, and timeliness - these are the three key benefits of our delivery service.

Within the realm of driving, plentiful opportunities present themselves. Notable mentions include dry van CDL occupations, the role of CDL dry van driver, and dry van truck operation jobs. Are you pursuing a position such as a CDL Class A dry van? Or perhaps that of a local dry van CDL? Jobs classified as regional dry van CDL are also available. A dry van truck driver salary, which packs a competitive edge, comes along with these job titles, alongside additional benefits. Roles promoting dry van driver home weekly, dry van training schemes, and even dry van owner operator jobs fill our roster. Thought of a job providing a dry van CDL with a sign-on bonus, or a dry van endorsement with a referral bonus? It's all there, just waiting to be discovered.

Becoming part of Poly Trucking, it's favorable to snag high-reward dry van trucking positions; benefit packages are desirable, and home time is regular. My word, the joining is today, and all things beneficial, such as the pay, are included. Consistent time at home - it's more than you can ask from trucking. Do consider Poly Trucking; they're out there with jobs on offer.

Loading was good. All about 2 hours. Now, the "No Pets and Passengers Allowed " is a bit extreme. But if you do have pets or Passengers, they have you drop the trailer up front and bobtail out of the gate and wait until loaded. I park around the corner on the side of the drive. You can let pets out there. And as others have stated, the truck entry is on the service road just north of Marshall Dr. Look it up on Google Earth...

On my 13 years of OTR experience, this is the best place to pick up I ever had. All employees are nice 👍 they accepted early checking IN, and they loaded very fast. In addition, they have a weight scale! …

Thankful for the opportunity they gave me back in 2022 this company pays good I believe it’s .75 a mile I remember back in 2022 it was .70 they go up on pay every so often to keep up with inflation me and a few drivers ate at a buffet near by really convenient the pay is good but poly has rules and unless your good at obeying rules you won’t qualify and basically they will find someone who will. I worked for them for 6months and I loved it like I said I am greatful the opportunity I racked up some serious cash in 6months I wouldn’t be surprised if a handful of there drivers aren’t millionaires in the next 25 years if they are conservative with there money ofcourse poly came across my mind today for some reason so I decided to leave this review there snacks are discounted for the drivers you can get a ham n cheese hot pocket for like a $1 they give id cards to there drivers and they have loaner trucks n case your truck breaks down most of there drivers run Midwest southwest northwest they do run the northeast and southeast poly has a loadboard but unfortunately they have so many drivers and independent contractors that your chances of getting a handful of loads is limited usually 3-5 options perhaps I went to Minnesota Las Vegas and Arizona and I absolutely loved it they don’t do California though so if your from Cali or likes to go to Cali don’t come here cause you won’t go to Cali lol if you live there or party there perhaps no Cali all there independent contractors go to Cali or visa versa no company drivers can enter the state of California but poly is a decent company they only require 1 year experience and there trucks run 68mph mostly Peterbilts and internationals they are similar to Walmart but there not gonna wash your clothes for you and they don’t have showers other than that it’s a great paying job I have much respect for poly and if you are looking for an excellent career I say give them a try if you have adequate experience

Guard shack people were courteous, they do over complicated the delivery by sending you to 3 different buildings over a 100 acres and 5 different receiving clerks that were friendly but clueless

This company has a policy of forbidding dash cams in the truck. This policy is entirely for the companies benefit under the advice of their legal department. This policy has no regard for protecting the drivers CDL and livelihood. I was a driver for this company, and another truck lost control and swerved into my lane causing a crash. Because I was forbidden from using a dash cam, I was unable to prove my innocence. I was thrown under the bus and fired by the company. I was left feeling like a chump and facing legal consequences from the accident. I was left without a job, my vacation time was stolen from me, and have had problems finding another job. Drive for this company at your own risk. Being a CDL driver without a dashcam is like driving without insurance. Most of the time it won’t matter and you might feel like a cool dude getting paid a premium driving for Poly. But you will regret not having it when you have an accident.

This customer does not allow pets or children on the property. They will tell you to drop your trailer and leave. Their only instructions are to stay out of their view. There's a small Texaco gas station a couple miles away that will allow drivers to park bobtail while they're waiting. The bills for my load had the wrong address on them so I ended up driving around looking for the correct entrance. ( I've attached a Google earth pic of the correct truck entrance). I showed up on time for my delivery and the unload still took over 6 hours. They did allow me to finish my break before returning to the property to pick up my trailer. I would say make sure you don't have another appointment scheduled directly after this place because most likely you'll be late.

I have dealt with a lot of different companies about the job opportunities. Today was the first time that I talked to a recruiter that not only was she pleasant, but she was very insightful and gave me a lot of good information not only about the job, but about keeping my information up-to-date, which was a lesson that I learned. Thank you Miss Ruby for all your help. I look forward to speaking with you again. Thank you Poly Trucking for a good recruiter.

Upon arrival both drivers and passengers have to check in with gaurd. Take a mask. If you have a child or a dog you will be asked to drop the trailer and leave the premises. You cannot smoke while on the property. If you arrive early, you will wait until to your check in time and then some. Apt. Time was 3. Arrived at 1. Left at 645. Watch out for security driving around the yard in a blue car. They're grumpy.

Awesome place to work. Some of the complaints I’ve seen on here are outdated so much has changed. We now get paid on odometer. And we get paid weekly for our miles even if the paperwork for that load hasn’t been turned in yet. They have sold the older trucks lowering the age of the fleet. It’s not a perfect place but a decent company to work for. I make money here and there’s a lot of drivers who have been here for years. It’s the type of place you can retire from. I notice the longer I’m here the better it gets.

I would say they have a really good thing going,, probably the actual cost per piece is definitely fractional per cent. They are probably at about 1% of revenue for product shipping and delivery of sales.....

What is the best part of working at the company? Can't think of anything just I can carry anything personal in truck. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? No assistance from driver supervisors. They only talk to you when you mess up. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Most times they font even know you still work there. I don't think they even care. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Well out on the road driving in different states. Sometimes broken down or a flat tire and always waiting

Poly has been unlike no other company I've been with. The home time is great every 2000 miles driven get 8 -7 days off. Get to pick your own loads under a no forced dispatch, and the loads are here. Communication some would say isn't the best however if you like to be left alone it evens out I love that too. Benefits are great. But this one reason is why I'd say a good 90% quit. The equipment is some of the worst I've ever used they bread down CONSTANTLY they have loner trucks and break down pay. But it happens a lot here other then that the money has huge great potential for runners.

Poly was the best driving job I have had. I had to stop driving for a while do to family obligations or I would still be there. The pay was great and once you learned the ropes you could keep yourself moving for as many miles as you could handle. My last year with them before the computers interfered with maximizing productivity I ran 158,600 miles, all paid by the way. Sure there were little idiosyncrasies that I personally thought were silly and the shop I believe could have been better staffed and working around the clock but these things were minor and if you didn’t have a problem with borrowing a loaner truck while yours was getting serviced or repaired these issues were of little import. I am getting ready to head back over the road shortly after a 3.5 year absence and if I thought they would hire me again I would put in another application in a heartbeat as I really liked driving for them as they for the most part let you do your job with very little interference.

Have an excellent Driver manager that works hard for me. The pay system and paperwork process is completely medieval, and financially stressful every week. The Load planners and dispatchers are totally foreign and distant to the drivers. Loads are unpredictable and nonconsistent. Hometime and or special time for appointments and or special family functions are completely minimum or disregarded all together. My average for the year is 1659 a week, I cannot live off that. This Company is a total train wreck! And I want out.....

They offer a good rate and recruit you by saying you can pick your loads. When you are hired you find out trucks are up yo 6 yrs old and pretty worn out with no cabinets for storage, had to keep most of my stuff on the floor. They let you pick the loads you prefer in the beginning and then you don't get to see those anymore. I have been sat for up to 5 days once then 4 days about a week later. Yhen run for 2 days and sat 2 more. Finally had to dip into savings to pay bills at which point I was forced to leave. Trailers are so old many have holes in the floors. Was sent on one load with a preloaded trl and discovered a 1 ft hole sfter delivery. Was down another day getting that repaired..

Company is grossly mismanaged, it’s all unqualified people making important decisions. They’re friends/relatives of the owners. It runs on the good ole boy network. Company doesn’t care about your income needs only theirs. They contract all of the good freight with brokers and contractors, leaving all the junk low mileage runs for their drivers. There’s a lot of down time between loads, they don’t know how to operate like a trucking company. I guess I should’ve have started with this, Poly is a manufacturing company with trucks, they’re not a trucking company. Good benefits, they pay hub miles at a good rate. They just can’t keep you busy enough to make a decent wage. They’re payroll process sucks, very inefficient and behind the times on how they operate and pay.
