RG has nailed it! The newer equipment is a huge plus
Big enough to handle our volume but still small enough to provide that personal touch
Pet policy is a huge bonus for me—I love having my dog on the road with me
Shown remarkable growth
I’m really enjoying my time here.
The owner was knowledgeable and explained things well to me diagnosed my problem quickly and did a patch fix cuz my company is cheap. It held for the next two weeks tell I got back to my yard
Truck 109 I was going through Decatur Texas just about hit my trailer and ran a car off the road just because he wanted to get in the left lane and do 70 in a 55 this guy is out of control.
They know how to keep you busy. Good loads and lots of miles.
I have been here for 8 months RG gave me a chance with no experience. They paid for my training and because of that I am loyal to them and because I do my job and go above and beyond they are loyal to me. Not a lot of companies like this one. But if you need home time let them know and you'll get it.
Awesome drivers, Best place to work for. Owners go out of their way to help you!
I just started with RG Transportation and the people I've met here so far have been really friendly and helpful chris, rex, and narko are very straightforward and so far I've meet about 6 driver's who actually came up to me and welcomed me. It's actually very nice how everyone is about respect.
I was lied to by these people about getting home time and I had driven 3 trucks in a short period of time, and every trip with them I had to end up at the shop again and swapping truck every trip. Then due to the time I had to waste with the deadheading to the shop, home and back to IF. Then because I had to quit due to them not keeping their word, and because I quit when I did they held $400 out of my check for staying closer My home and family, I value my family more than I do any company and I don't appreciate being lied to just to fill a seat for their monetary purposes, I told them this and I was told that they just want money and my family life isn't their i
Very profesional people, they are on top of everything, they will call with your next load the day before and get you ready for your return trip home. They do runs to Texas and back mostly so you get home for your reset every week. I have been treated great by these guys, would highly recommend.
The service department and the mechanics are top notch.
Been working here a short while and I can't say enough good things about the quality of company, the great people, drivers and in the office. Here you feel like a big family and the working atmosphere is fun. If anyone can give a bad review, then they are dishonest about that review. I have never been in a better place. Come and find out what it's all about! You will be glad you did.
I joined RG Transport 5-1-2012 and I can honestly say that it's the best driving job I've had in my 24 years or driving. RG has great equipment, competitive pay and awesome office personnel that treat u with respect. The Red Gold employees at all of their facilities are nice and friendly. It's definitely the best move that I've made in my driving career. It's a great place to work and I would recommend RGT to any driver that is interested.
Stay away far far away... Bunch of lying dumbasses who think they know transportation... Offer the lowest wages around and surely feel proud of it... Lie to you and say your getting one rate of pay then wait till you get there and say " oh but throw in the bonus at the end of the quarter, and it comes out higher" a bonus you won't get!!! Little company with little mind set... They need to be educated on proper work etiquette... The dime a dozen driver theory is long gone... But good companies are around the corner.. And these guys are not one!!
My husband drives and trains for this company and they treat their drivers well. Must have a good driveing record to be hired though.
Good crew, plenty of freight to keep rolling set your pace and decent pay.
A decent place to work, but only if you follow their truck policies exactly. They don’t take driver feedback into account—it’s their way or the highway. I stayed until I found a better opportunity, but I would have preferred to leave on my own terms.
Great company with weekly pay every Friday. My dispatcher was excellent, and I was usually home every weekend. Their equipment is top-notch, though some of the brokered loads were less than ideal.
A decent job overall, though management could use some improvement. Plenty of hours available, and they are fairly flexible with time off or shorter days when needed.
Best part of working here? Friendly people, though they don’t have as many runs as advertised, and repairs aren’t reliable. Trucks lack the power to climb hills, making them the slowest and potentially hazardous vehicles on the road. Most stressful part? Limited freight availability and underpowered trucks that struggle on inclines, creating unsafe driving conditions. Work environment and culture? Some people are friendly, though backstabbing can happen. Typical day? Like any other trucking job.
After 40 years in trucking and seeing companies come and go, I can confidently say this company has the right approach to drivers and office staff. They treat employees with dignity and respect, provide excellent equipment, maintain an open-door policy with upper management, ensure steady work without pushiness, prioritize safety, and offer competitive pay. A great group of people!
I worked at RG Transportation for a year. Their equipment is solid, and they pay every Friday. As long as you do your job, they leave you alone. Dispatchers are helpful, and monthly bonuses are offered. A great company—I left due to COVID.
Best dispatcher ever! Home every weekend, decent pay with ups and downs. No-touch freight, though backhauls were mostly brokered loads. Good equipment, paid holidays, and they do their best to accommodate drivers.
By far the best trucking company I’ve worked for. Competitive pay and good benefits. Dispatchers are knowledgeable, direct deposit is available, and overall benefits are solid.
RG Transport is a great company to work for. They treat employees with respect, provide opportunities for success, and maintain well-kept equipment.
I handled everything—hiring, training, prospecting, account servicing, billing, bookkeeping, and collections. I loved being my own boss, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to step away from running the company.
A great place to work with a family-like atmosphere. I enjoyed my time here, but the pay didn’t justify being away from home for five days when I could earn more locally. The trucks are well-maintained, management knows everyone by name, and runs are solid. However, some backhauls aren’t great. Overall, it’s a fantastic company—the pay is just lacking.
Not a bad workplace overall. Equipment is decent, pay is fair, and management is friendly. Mostly drop-and-hook freight with electronic logs, covering about half a dozen states.
Just another big trucking company that makes false promises to get you in a truck! The truck I received had issues, including no heat in January, leaving me freezing overnight. Wouldn’t recommend them at all.
RG Transport is a family-oriented business. Everyone is treated with respect and equality. Management always kept my best interests in mind and never disappointed.
