Arrived 30 mins early for appointment, took a total of 3.5 hours to unload that's doesn't include me being early, other trucks came that were in and out within 30 mins.
The kid at check in to get unloaded is a real A-hole! Must have been a mama's boy! Disrespectful, kid! Can't conduct yourself in a professional manner. Then stay home! Anyway..my appointment was for 0930.. checked in at 0823.. they wasn't busy at all.. In fact, no other drivers were here.. kid said he can't guarantee I get unloaded right away and gave me a dock door.. after lumper paid.. it took around a hour for my light to turn red..started unloading me.. not too bad so far.. except for the kid who needs to leave his problems at home.. at 1100 they brought me my paperwork.. I gave it a 2 star because of the young man..who needs to grow up..
Very rude guy in the office Dont go there before appointment No parking sign on the street In front of door can park only 2 trucks Washrooms available but can use only when parked on dock door Call on this number only for dock door
Overall good place to deliver. Washroom available at door 8. Overnight parking on street. Strictly by appt time. They just need to work on their check in guy. He is a mess.
Got here for a drop at 9am for a 12:30appt and was told I had to wait until appt time which is expected although some receivers will work you in sooner. Got dock at 12:15 and only had 15 pallets on the truck….still took 120 minutes to unload….8 minutes per pallet which is a joke for a dry goods warehouse. Shipper loaded this same load in 17 minutes. This is not the first time I’ve been here and got unloaded at the pace of a snail. We will no longer take any loads that deliver to this place and would like to see other carriers start boycotting companies like this. Don’t expect them to respect truckers schedules or time.
Arrived at 8:50 for a 9:30 appointment. Call in and assigned a dock immediately. Started to unload me at 10:15, finished at 11:40. Friendly people.
Drivers please do yourself a favor before coming to this company. Please read the reviews and the comments and decide for yourself whether you want to come here or not. I had 5 pallets and I was 30 minutes early and they took 2 hours to unload 5 pallets what? I will never come back here again and I forgot to mention the guy at the receiver what an idiot he is.
This is WI not FL clean ur shipping and receiving sign 👁👀so first time truck driver knows how to get in this place, instead being RUDE to the driver 😒 🙄manners goòoò a long wayÿyyyyyy!!😊😁
Not 2 bad delivery takes like 3-4 hours , come early they open at 6 am park in the front there’s a spot in the side of the gate u can chick in 6 am even if u have in appointment
Truckers: you can park in front of gate for overnight. 3 trucks can be parked on that road just before the closed gate. Nice washroom at door 8. Takes time to unload. Opens 6:15am. 2 hours to get unloaded.
I had app at 2 PM , they said you have it at 10 and we stop taking receiving at 11 and now Im waiting until tomorrow , bad services all this for 4 palettes , we're 2 drivers sleeping here until tomorrow , my first and last time Ill come here
Very very slow offloading, they took 3 hours to empty my trailer while I was the only me on the dock.
Picked a load up here and they load you up pretty quick here.
All I had to do was drop and hook today so didn't take me too long to get in and out. They open the gates a bit before 6:30am so don't get there too early. Easy to get into the docks as well.
What is the best part of working at the company? Nothing at all. Toxic work environment, outdated operating system. The pay isn't worth the headache. Definitely wouldn't recommend working for this company. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The tension amongst the employees, and the lack of leadership from upper management. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Not good with a lot of unrealistic expectations. What is a typical day like for you at the company? "What problem will face today? Who is going to blame who for what today?"
Day started at 0400 ended when return to branch. Workplace culture was toxic. Early start was hardest part of job. Seeing same customers week in week out was the best part of job. I was terminated while on medical leave.
What is the best part of working at the company? Management and my co workers were excellent. Pay was great too. My time at RJ Schinner was a very good experience. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Nothing. I didn't find the job stressful What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Freedom from micro management. They gave you space to be a professional and let you set your own pace
Excellent hourly pay with ot after 40. My own truck with no slip seating. My own route which very rarely changes. End of year bonuses. Driver manager is former driver who gets us. Weekends off unless I volunteer for ot. And when I need more money manager really tries to provide ot. Quality family owned company. I’m treated like a person and not a part of the truck.
Your route will never change, so you have to be on time for your first appointment. You will have to touch freight do pickups after your route is done also bi weekly pay.
Is a great company to work for Manigmane is a great one Truck are in good condition N very clean n everyone gets along With everyone good dispatches
RJ Schinner is a great company to work for. You get amazing benefits and you get vacation days & personal days after your first 6 months. When Hurricane Harvey came through Houston, we weren't able to make it into work but RJ Schinner still paid us for that week we were out of work due to that storm. They are all around a very good company to work for. But hopefully their management is professional & better this time, because some employees were getting bullied by their supervisor/manager and getting talked down too and cursed at. So whenever someone finally spoke out about it they deducted their pay and put their job on the line. So hopefully the management is a lot better this time. Other than that, the company RJ Schinner itself is beyond great.
I would never work here again they are very prejudiced and biased when it comes to the employees and the way they are treated. Poor training it is basically one of the worst places I’ve ever worked with
The work was easy. I worked on both sides shipping and receiving. There was heavy machinery used on each side of the job and critical thinking skills but overall it was a pretty easy job.
It's a cool job, but the Transportation manager is bonus driven, try to be intimidating (only wants to hire younger people for that purpose) and is habitual liar. What ever he tells you, get it in writing.
i started working there when us to be CLARK PRODUCT.. Then they was going under... R.J schinner bought/took over this branch.. they are picky to get along with and very strict..
The company is fine, decent benefits and pay. The warehouse manager in the Tampa location is verbally aggressive and will cuss you out whenever he feels like it. One day, he will act professional and the next day, you will be on tip toes around him. Stay away, if you want a decent manager that will respect you and talk to you in a decent manner.
Great job. The delivers where a bit extreme. Some weren’t meant for 53’ trailers. Other than that, great company. Clean warehouse and building parking lot. Trucks where always kept current and clean.
Driver/Warehouse Manager cursed all the time, very rude, unable to talk to this person. Very bad location to work at but other locations are better. Warehouse people are all hostile due to working conditions This is a harsh company to work for as other employees get away with things and those who work hard get treated bad.
RJ Schinner was a good company to work for with good benefits The managers were nice and very professional. The company went through a downsizing period which is what ended my employment. I would definitely recommend this company.
I enjoy working here because they provide early start times such as 5:00AM and off by 1:00PM. I'm able to attend all my children school activities without worrying if I'm going to get off on time. My work load is sent to me during the night via computer. so I can adjust my start time if need be.
