Retired 2015 excellent pay ,excellent fellow drivers , sometimes management depends on who there. It's a safety minded company, I experience some prejudice by dispatch and management ,again depends on who was in charge at the moment.
An excellent example of a big company with a small company feel.
The Fridley terminal is a joke! Be prepared for inconsistent hrs, unprofessional management and no pay increases!
Great place to work!

Great pay with excellent home time
The company genuinely supports and takes care of its drivers. There’s no stress from the company—any stress comes from dealing with careless drivers on the road. I enjoy going to work each day. A typical day involves choosing a route based on seniority, delivering products to stores, and having store staff unload them.
The company treats you like a person, not just a number. If you do your job, it’s not stressful. The work environment was good, and the culture was decent. A typical day was straightforward as long as you did your job.
You won’t earn top dollar, but it’s a solid entry-level job to gain experience before moving on. Mileage pay is low, but the work is clean. Management is neither great nor terrible.
Drivers are micromanaged, but the pay is reasonable. Trucks are Freightliners governed at 65 mph. Management is mediocre, and benefits are decent but expensive.
The best part of working here is the safety team—they assist with road trips and ensure I have what I need to do my job correctly. Some employees bring negativity, but the company itself is great. A typical day is simple—go to work, complete tasks, and return home. Learning the paperwork is easy.
A good workplace if you can tolerate blatant favoritism. Extremely disorganized, inconsistent pay, and a union job.
I’ve been a dedicated driver for Assa Abloy for two years, but my pay hasn’t changed since I started. You’re just another number here—not the worst company, but far from the best.
New management brought pay cuts. The Phoenix Watkins Terminal has constant office and driver turnover. Trailers are outdated, and they use worn-out tires and recaps. Slip-seat trucks. Not veteran-friendly—many employees with disabilities were forced out. Other terminals reportedly operate better. Union pension is low, and there’s no 401k.
Ruan is a solid company to work for. Guaranteed 8-hour shifts with overtime after 8. Weekly pay. Union job with Kaiser insurance. It’s a great setup—I wish I was still there, but life happens. Management and dispatch were easy to work with. Overall, a good experience.
Great pay, but management treats drivers poorly. The company used to be great—I thought I’d retire here—but new management and load changes ruined it. They started writing up drivers for minor things, like adjusting the AC, which triggered the camera. They also eliminated daycabs, forcing everyone into regional routes.
I started on the Publix account, which was good while it lasted. I was lucky to switch to the Hon account just in time—it’s an easy route with good pay and great benefits. My manager constantly checks in to ensure everything is going well.
Old, worn-out trailers and trucks, but the pay and hours were good. Hard to reach management after a certain time. Overall, not a bad gig in today’s market. Good benefits.
The best part of working here is being home daily, with a supportive office staff. The most stressful part is poor equipment maintenance in Tyler, Texas, and lazy mechanics. The work environment is diverse, open, and accepting. A typical day involves logging in, pre-tripping the truck, hooking the trailer, pre-tripping the trailer, delivering to stores, and returning to the distribution center.
I enjoyed working for Ruan. They had experienced employees, but second-shift scheduling eventually didn’t work for me.
