Arrived on time for pickup & was told I had to check-in by calling a phone number. Told to stage nearby but nowhere really to stage. Congested area since this warehouse is located close to the ports. Checking in was a bit challenging. Either they don’t answer or u get a busy signal. Gotta keep calling back to back to back to try & check in. Loading docks are tight & not really enough room to back in. Once loaded, gotta fill paperwork & sign numerous documents. Must present your D/L to check out. Loading times are pretty fast but warehouse location is horrible.
Showed up at 9 appointment time was 10 sat there till 2 before they started loading then I couldn't take the load bc missed my drop time bc of them then I got yelled at an cursed out by multiple different ppl an got called a liar by the manager/ person that claim to be family of owners. Will never be back worse company in America to haul out of!!!!

This is to all the Brokers and dispatchers out there If you have sent the driver here without minimum experience of 25 years on the road then everything that went wrong at the pickup or delivery is your fault !!! Learn reading reviews of facilities!!!
If you’re delivering avoid this place at all cost! There is a reason their ratings are very low. Rough roads and potholes streets entering their facility. Rude security guard!! Terrible terrible 👎🏼👎🏼 …
Worst shipper ever. Takes all day to load and lie about drivers not checking in. Had a guy check in sit all day only to be told he never checked in. Stay away
It's really packed and hard to know who's next in line to get loaded. Be courteous and respectful and you can get a can or two of red bull in shipping office. Try to park outside before entering the gate and walk on foot to guard shack for instructions
Very tight and very difficult to maneuver but quick in and out. Call ahead before arrival to get the door number as the security guard will ask for the door number then let you in . Women inside are sweet and friendly!
It's dirty Jersey. It's what you can expect. Tight turns, roads, restrictions, ect. So, with that being said this place is no different. But when it comes to unloading, I was in 2 hours before my appointment and unloaded in a little over an hour! That's worth 5 stars in my book!
They treat you like a person, not an employee. That's reflected in the benefits and how management approaches employees, no yelling and screaming about challenges, just collaboration and ideas. The office environment is very calm and comfortable to work in . It is a very challenging company due to the pace and ingenuity around every corner, which is awesome and helps you grow. If you apply yourself, you'll go somewhere. Yes, this is the company you want to come work for . Come join the Elite fleet !
Came here to pick up a loaded trailer. First I was told that my pickup number was wrong. Took me over an hour back and forth with my dispatch to confirm it was not so the people at the check in both gave me the wrong info. Then it took me 30 min to find a spot to drop my empty trailer since this yard is narrow and therefore a massive mess. Then 30 more min to find my loaded trailer BLOCKED by a bunch of other trailers. Had to beg the yard dogs to move all the other trailers. 2 hours later and I'm almost out of hours. Trailer still buried. What a joke!
I’m going to be honest i respect salson, but I felt unwelcomed and thank goodness I did not want to work at salson no thank you. Dwayne is a nasty person and probably the recruiting office is too. You guys need to be better.
Hello truckers, maybe this can help you, I was reading the reviews of this place and I was actually a little scared before I got here, but on the contrary, they gave me a door immediately and in 40 minutes it was empty so maybe I was lucky , but the staff was very kind to me, I will come back!!!
I worked for this place but I can’t say anything wrong about it !! People at the office (recruitment department) they are so nice Thanks to let me been part of this place
Long hours with low pay, but the work environment is positive, and the people are nice. Projects are always challenging, management is often out of the loop, and trucks frequently break down.
Experienced drivers should avoid this company—poor attitudes, low wages, derogatory language toward employees, and poor maintenance of equipment. Not worth the time or effort.
Great people to work with as a company driver. I left because I wanted to own my own equipment. The equipment isn’t the best, but it’s decent.
I worked here on and off for seven years and enjoyed the job. They’ve become strict about cellphone use while driving, but beyond that, they offer great home time during the week and weekends, along with fair compensation.
A detailed, high-volume workload, but the atmosphere is light and enjoyable. The benefits are excellent for families, and the pay is solid. Only the best thrive here!
Their only priority is making sure the job gets done—they don’t care about their drivers or their trucks.
They keep me busy, I’m home every night, the pay is great, and the equipment is well-maintained. There’s always someone available to help when needed. The wait times at the port can be ridiculous, making for long days.
This job is just about earning a paycheck and paying your bills. There’s nothing great about it, but if you need a day off or need flexibility after handling personal matters, they’ll work with you.
Management is awful, and the pay is terrible. This company isn’t worth the hassle they put drivers through. They disregard your HOS entirely. Save yourself the headache unless you’re desperate.
This company is a nightmare. They have cameras inside the trucks to monitor and harass drivers. The trucks constantly break down—you’ll rarely make it through a full week without an issue.
If you prefer choosing your routes, this isn’t the place for you—they force dispatch. Equipment repairs are difficult to get, there are no driver incentives or bonuses, but the dedicated runs are relatively easy.
In 18 months, we had three terminal managers, and each time, work gradually disappeared. By the third manager, there were no contracts left.
The problem isn’t just the equipment—it’s the pallet jobs, broken gear, and everything else.
The company doesn’t make employees feel valued. The pay is decent, but the benefits are terrible—no employer matching, and the premiums are exorbitant with no contributions from the company.
Below-average pay. If you’re new, you won’t get the better loads. They lie and claim business is slow. The dispatcher is rude, and the overall workplace gives off a prison-like atmosphere.
Bad trucks, bad yard, and making money here is a struggle. If you don’t want to haul at the port, don’t work at SalSon—you won’t earn much.
