A company that values fairness and respects every employee!
If you aspire to excel as an intermodal truck driver, Schmuhl Brothers offers top-tier training to help you achieve that goal. Rick Liebau, the company's trainer, ensures you master the safest, most effective methods—because that’s the only way to succeed in this industry! I’m deeply grateful for Rick's expertise and patience during my training. This has been the most fulfilling driving job I've ever had. From day one, I've felt like part of the Schmuhl Brothers family. If you're considering a career in intermodal transport, I wholeheartedly recommend Schmuhl Brothers. Competitive pay, excellent benefits—everything you need! I'm thankful every day for this opportunity. Rick, I won't disappoint—you are the best mentor I could ask for! Sincerely, Mark T. Meyer A proud Schmuhl Brothers driver!
A solid company to work for. I remember when they only had two trucks—the teamwork I witnessed was impressive.
Driver on i75sb in Ohio pulling trailer 513 4/10/23 at 4:40pm should be taken off the road before he causes a wreck. Passed me and cut me off and slowed down for no reason, so I moved to the next lane over to pass and he tried whipping his trailer into me because he didn't want anyone passing him, then gave me the middle finger. Never provoked this guy or anything, he just has an ego and didn't like someone passing him.
Great company but someone should tell Phil R. to be a bit nicer... old grouch!
Great company to do business with. Both the Zachs, and Jess are easy to work with.
Good management company and God fearing people
Great drop yard for my company
Awesome place to work don't work there anymore moved to FL but I loved my time their James Courtain Brian Jobes Dona Schmuhl everyone in the office and the shop especially the Brothers Thanks for every thing
I don’t drive for the company anymore as I took a sales position elsewhere. I want to say this was the BEST job behind the wheel I ever had! The owners are truly caring people, the shop keep the truck in peak operating condition, the human resource department is helpful and understanding and dispatch is fair. These guys provide an outstanding trainer and every driver will help if you ask. The pay was great and as a driver you get a good home/work ratio. If your looking for a career you’d be crazy to drive for a different company!
Fake people there and they allow people to lie on you and they fire people that are honest and keep the fakes!!!!
Great local container hauling company and drive-in and reefers. Been there 5 years excellent company to work for
Good luck pulling out of that place with the train to the left and cars everywhere else with no common courtesy.
Can't be better the best is the best you can be
Good people that work there, would recommend.
It's a good experience....

Good place to work for
Loving it
Great service
The very best company I've worked for in my 35 yrs as a professional driver! I have been blessed by our Heavenly Father for helping me find this employment opportunity with Schmuhl Brothers Inc.
Horrible place to work. Unless you like running illegally even though they preach doin things by the book. They say they are a family oriented company, but the only family that matters to them is their family,as in the family that owns it. Pay is sub-par and they treated you as if you are a replaceable commodity.
What’s the best part of working here? As a driver, you won’t be stuck in the office getting yelled at by management. What’s the most stressful part of the job? Constant truck repairs and issues with getting paid correctly. What’s the company culture like? Stressful. I was promised a high salary by the sales manager, but the dispatch manager gave most loads to his friends. What’s a typical day like? Draining, mostly due to arbitrary safety rules.
A fantastic company to work for! Excellent benefits, and the more effort you put in, the more you earn. Family-run, with hands-on leadership and plenty of opportunities for growth.
What’s the best part of the job? I worked weekends, but they were flexible if I wanted weekday shifts. What’s the biggest challenge? Waiting at the rail yard for containers to be lifted or flipped. How’s the work environment? It varies, and the company embraces diversity. What’s a typical day like? It’s trucking—anything can happen!
I worked here a few years ago and still keep in touch with the team. A great workplace with a supportive management and HR staff.
This is the best job I’ve ever had! Amazing atmosphere, fantastic owners, great dispatchers—an all-around outstanding company. I personally love it.
I worked at Schmuhl Brothers for a long time and truly enjoyed my time there. I helped establish standards that are still followed today. The owners, office staff, and shop manager are all honest, loyal, and committed to making the company thrive while avoiding past mistakes. Brand-new equipment, safe operations—thank you!
