Service Transportation, INC follows a simplistic approach that we define as honesty in trucking! No necessity to beat around the bush when it is related to executing the work done. We are entirely straightforward with all our staff and want the equivalent in return. We would prefer to take feedback from those who call Service home and explore how we can be a more fulfilling place for them and the family they support.

Being a family-run and successful business indicates that we consistently put people ahead of ourselves. The tireless efforts of every one employee at Service are acknowledged and appreciated daily. We are a team and a family. People make this business possible every day. Trucking is about people significantly more than it's about miles and deliveries. We offer the most extensive top of the line benefits program within the trucking industry. Having a great benefit program for employees is a duty and privilege to support those behind the wheel getting it done.

I called them up, and honestly, I was expecting the usual run-around, but these folks were on it
The driver Harris was not only professional but also had a great sense of humor ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The management really values our input
It’s companies like this that remind us that business can be a force for good
Service that won’t let you down, these are your go-to peeps
This company will literally fire you for anything, they don’t go over all the policies and what not they only use them against the driver for convenience. A tree branch smacked the truck and I was told I had to pay them back if they fixed the side flaring on THEIR truck
Owners and employees care about their work! Great opportunity for drivers
I'd recommend working for Service Transportation because you're more than just a number. The owners go above and beyond for there employees and everyone that works in the office does an amazing job at making sure you're getting miles and being safe. They have a great shop and those guys keep everything fixed and moving on. You just can't find a better place where you're basically treated like family and so if you like to work and make it home safe this is where you need to be.
I can not tell you how much i have enjoyed working with this group of amazing people. You are treated like a real person here and they help you with any problem you have and get it taken care of very quick. Also if you like steady work and AMAZING benefits then this is the place!
As a driver for this company I can say they are a good company. They pay isn’t the best but the miles are consistent and I’m able to get home on the weekends to spend time with my family.
A great place to work. The owners are extremely generous people and are great to work for. The miles are consistent, drivers don't sit, and the pay is good.
Great company! Great opportunities for those who work for this company! The owners are hands on and really care for their employees! Thank you Service Transportation!
JUST HIT 9 YEARS WITH SERVICE- SO PROUD TO BE HERE. FROM OWNERS TO OUR OFFICE AND DRIVERS- WE ARE A FAMILY AND IM PROUD TO BE HERE!
I want to say I really enjoyed my time here period. I should have been better at communicating why I really left but google not the place for it. I would love to work here again if ever given the opportunity . Trial and error over the years stupid decisions part of life . Tks for my time I should have never left a decent job so close to my home. Tks Jason charlotte frank all dispatch etc.
Best company I have ever worked for . Great equipment and always growing . Proud to work at Service Transportation
This is the worst company ever never met owner frank act like he is god
The Best Company anywhere. I have been with Service for almost 7 years and hopefully will retire here. The company is very well run by very good people. As a Driver with 18+ years experience, this is the happiest I have ever been. Every person that works in the office is easily accessible day or night. They will all help with any question or problems you have. Come join our family, you won't regret it.
Service Transportation should use Tracy McMillian as an example. She might not be the #1 driver in the US, but she safe, dependable, and does her job as well, if not better than, any driver Service has. Upper Management, or the owner , should use Tracy as an example of what Service Transportation stands for. I have come across Tracy several times and she exemplifies what a good driver stands for.
Can’t speak the TRUTH on a company that makes you sign an NDA in order to be hired exactly at orientation!! That should say everything!!!!!!!!
What a work of art this company is . . .
So much to say
They say you'll receive your hourly wage increase after your first 90 days, however, my husband has worked for them for almost 3 years, and still hasn't received his 90 raise. They call him for every little thing when he's not at work. They use him and use him, run him down, and still, NO HOURLY wage increase! My son just started working there a few months ago, he received his 90 day wage increase, the same week of his 90 day time period! The boss, Mark, is EXTREMELY RUDE, AND DISRESPECTFUL TO EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS! You'd think they'd value their employees a lot better than they do! THEY NEED TO DO BETTER! BE BETTER!! TREAT EMPLOYEES LIKE THEY SHOULD BE TREATED AND TREAT THEM LIKE THEY'RE VALUED AND AN ASSET TO THEIR TRUCKING COMPANY.
3 years I've been here, all my time I've worked out a truck company I've never had one treat me like Service has treated me. You're not a number you got an issue they listen they fix it. You want miles they have it. Hate going to north east no problem we don't go. Worried about sitting nope, they have the freight to keep you moving . Looking for your forever home service transportation is it..
A decent company, though the trucks tend to have issues. Management was average—not the best but not the worst. The company could benefit from stronger leadership. A good place to gain experience.
Service Transportation takes people at their word without properly investigating claims. The company lacks professionalism, treating employees poorly. I was terminated based solely on someone’s accusation, despite doing my job well and getting along with everyone. No complaints were ever made against me, yet the situation wasn't investigated further. After nine months with the company, I learned firsthand that they will fire drivers over false claims. I would not recommend working here.
If you aren’t willing to follow company policies alongside federal regulations, this isn't the place for you. The team is great, but they take trucking seriously and expect the same from you.
They make a great first impression, assuring you there are plenty of miles available. However, they assign local runs that take all day and brokered loads with long wait times. When you request detention pay, they act like they're doing you a favor. If you question the lack of miles, they blame the driver—even when they only provide local runs or schedule deliveries two days after pickup for a 450-mile load.
Drivers, don’t waste your time. The advertised $70,000 per year salary isn't accurate, and they don’t provide enough miles. Local runs take the entire day, and the company operates with a deep-rooted Southern culture that burns drivers out. They also require drivers to be monitored by cameras 24/7 but don’t disclose this during orientation—it’s only revealed once you get inside the truck. Consider yourself warned.
Many customers are repeat clients, so their locations are familiar. Management is excellent, and the office staff is friendly, approachable, and enjoys joking with drivers. The toughest part of the job is closing the trailer’s back door—no touch freight! The company provides new, high-quality trucks with interiors comparable to owner-operator specs. Drivers who maximize their time will find plenty of miles available.
Dispatch could be more professional. Load details are often incomplete, requiring drivers to call for clarification—if they can get through in time. The company is acquiring new trucks, but storage space is limited, and the yard is too small to accommodate them properly.
My daily routine involved making sure my loads arrived on time, regardless of how difficult it was. I value punctuality and take pride in meeting customer expectations.
