Darrell Sorenson started our trip in 1970, out of Chehalis, Washington with one truck he was using to establish mutually lucrative contracts with many fresh seafood shippers. Today, Sorenson Transport delivers a broader range of freight with a much larger fleet and many of the same original customers. Sorenson Transport is currently family owned and maintained, and you can find Darrell having debates with his dispatch team any day of the week. Another aspect that has not transformed, at Sorenson, is our 100% commitment to customer service and on time delivery. At Sorenson, drivers are not only paid well, but treated like family. We are a smaller, tight knit, family owned and operated company that has been servicing the west coast with refrigerated LTL service for 50 years! Our goal at Sorenson has never been to be the biggest, but to be the best!

There are good days and bad days
An excellent company with fantastic employees!
My husband worked for Sorenson Transport Company for 15 years. They consistently provided newer, well-maintained equipment and had a highly responsive shop. The paychecks were always reliable—he was well compensated, and there was never any issue cashing them.
Scheduled pick-up and delivery service for refrigerated products.
I'm a 24 year employee. This is a good employer. Haters are going to hate, life goes on. I've been treated fair and with respect here. This is not a slacker day care though. Step up to the challenge, and share in the camaraderie.
Watch out for #480A driver. Made a few sketchy moves while I was driving next to him. I saw him make a u-turn on the freeway 101 northbound. Cut off a guy. Came close to hit the poor small car
Driver of truck 564 thinks i5 is his personal race track, need to slow down driver no need to rush anywhere. Also need to understand if you heavy to the right lane instead of camping and causing traffic in middle lane. These nuances are what separates the real pro drivers from the wannabes
One of the most professional truck8ng companies in Washington. Thanks so much to your drivers (2 of them!) Who stopped and helped my 87 year old father pull his car out of the ditch! What kind decent people. I operate a cold storage facility in Idaho and when your drivers come in now I ALWAYS put them at front of line (I'm the boss, i can do that;) Thanks again!.
One of its truck drivers changed lanes without signaling and with five feet of our car. He did it so fast and unexpectedly that I had to slam on the brakes and swerve to the left shoulder to avoid the back of his truck from crushing the front of my car. After gaining our composure, we could see that he did that dangerous and reckless move only to pass the car in from of him. When I pulled next to him to photograph the truck, I noticed he was traveling about seventy miles per hour. I hope that the Sorenson management looks at this driver record and act accordingly.
One of your drivers merged into my lane without looking on the I-5. I was in the far right lane and had nowhere to go- had no choice but to drive off into the shoulder of the freeway.
Sorenson os by far the best transportation on the west coast either dry or frozen…

Again husband looking for work, signs, and ADVERTISEMENTS saying they are desperate for drivers.... They had signs pointing to the entrance, when he arrived at the entrance there was a sign that said 'Not to Enter'... Idea here.... 'Come Apply, but Don't Come in..
Sorenson has one of best fleets in the entire country.
They really are great there.
Wonderful people, great company
Excellent
The nicest family I have ever worked for. Fast reliable refrigeration service, nice new trucks.
I work here. It is the best company I have ever worked for.
Great people, great pay, and solid equipment—but balancing this job with family life is tough. Every week, they ask for extra work, keeping drivers out longer than expected. The money is good, but when you factor in the hours worked, it doesn’t quite add up.
The company pushes drivers hard, but the pay reflects the workload. If you’re looking for good earnings, they have plenty of runs. Management is responsive and approachable, though dispatch sometimes lacks a clear understanding of truck drivers' challenges. Overall, a strong company.
The owners are wonderful people, and the staff is friendly and positive. Better communication between drivers and dispatch would improve operations. Dispatch could also benefit from a better understanding of what local LTL truly means. Despite that, it was a great place to work.
Layovers were never compensated. I was frequently assigned jobs I didn’t want and, despite being a local driver, I often had to sleep in my truck—sometimes up to four nights a week. I also seemed to do the most drop-and-hook work in the yard, which wasn’t paid separately.
Started off great, but then they expected me to drive on a closed highway. It was shut down due to ice and wind—CHP had blocked access. Dispatch insisted I had chains and should proceed regardless.
I prefer my driving job at Sorenson over my previous ones. Not every day or week is perfect, but they do their best to make it work, and most of the time, it does. I don’t feel like just another truck number here—people genuinely care about my job satisfaction, home life, and well-being. LTL trucking can be frustrating, but they compensate not just for dock bumps and miles but also for freight weight.
