If your looking for a great place to garbage up your MVR look no farther this is the company for you. It company policy that any and all ticket have to be placed on your driving record of which you won't even know about until after it is done. Logic being all it just one little ticket that like it going to increase our insurance any, besides once the driver figures out he get a ticket on his background report. He will have no other choice but to work here. It will lower our driver turnover. They are that shady of a company. Before you come up with you next list of excuses. You where smart enough to find the violation via internet. It clearly show I already had a attorney working on the case. When your incompetent safety department made the decision to place this on my mvr.

Currently driving for Stevens Transport and approaching my 1 year mark. This is the worst company to work for. Stay away from Contractor Division. They'll give you a crappy truck and make you pay all the breakdown payments with no compensation or miles. You'll come out this company owing them money and working for free. If you like getting screwed over, work for Stevens!

Stevens is good as long as you get to know the staff and if you work hard but have problems with dispatch, Then you notify upper staff and request a different dispatch. I keep saying and Mr. Stevens said it to. “ No company today will ever be line the old days. However, that doesn’t mean that we don’t strive every day to be better. Better in terms of service, not only to the costumers you work with but the drivers you employee.” I couldn’t agree more and enjoyed my talk with Mr. Stevens. However, Just wasn’t the right fit for my Geographical location so I moved on. Once again; I’d say I appreciated the opportunity and the driving. Take care Stevens!

great place good equipment and you can make money it depends on you a bad week every now and then over a 30 day period it all averages out LP is smooth and fairly simple if you need questions answered just ask ready or need to go home just let them know and you will go in over all relaxed place no stress orientation smooth only thing is on the last day when going over pay system should split company drivers and LP drivers up to go over that it just tends to lead to a-lot of questions over all a great place nothing worthy enough to complain about

Typical small trucking company. They are dishonest and will steal your money while claiming they love their employees. Safety director is a tool and very dishonest himself ( while claiming he has high moral values) A punk cop that assaulted people while they were handcuffed. Stevens represents everything that is wrong with society.

STAY AWAY!!!!! Stay away from this company. They will waste your time. Applied for the company and they brought me and for orientation had me fill out the hiring paperwork and then go on a road test. This took 4 hours and after all this the director of hiring or "whatever his title is" brings me into his office. He goes on to tell me he just now went over my work history and there is a gap in my driving history and they can't hire me because I have no experience in a sleeper cab with a 53' trailer. All this information was in my online application and they wait until I already quit my job to bring this sit to light and say to me can't you just go back to your previous job. I shouldn't have to. When I said to him why this is only being brought up now he tries passing the blame on to his recruiting department. Don't you oversee the recruiting department? Maybe you should train your staff properly or have them check with you before contacting potential employees, so this doesn't happen to someone else. Once again STAY AWAY!!!!!

The post about they would steal your money, believe it!!! Dispatchers have their favorites I believe (well I can only speak for chandler who is my dispatcher). Could be a great company to work for but management of drivers will run you off especially if they don’t like you and trust, you will know if they don’t like you, they’ll hurt your pockets in hopes that you’ll just quit. I will definitely be reporting to eeoc for unpaid wages and discrimination

Just started over here June 27,2023 and it’s a major positive difference in this company than any other company I’ve been partnered with or have been a contract driver with. Here I’m leasing my truck and I will actually own it at the end of this lease. Great staff of ppl and here your family to Kennedy Steven’s and his amazing staff and family. Thanks for making my switch from the last company to you all so easily! Thanks to Shirell for being an awesome an amazing recruiter!.

Will O. and Will in permits are fantastic. Most of the female staff are great to work with, and a few of the other guys are decent too. Dispatch—well, it’s a learning experience. Texas regional side has questionable miles and mediocre pay. Equipment isn’t bad; some trucks have high mileage, but they won’t leave you stranded. Best advice: try it for yourself—only you can determine if it’s the right fit. Just be aware that cameras monitor everything, and management nitpicks over the smallest details. Micromanagement is an understatement. However, some of the people made the short time I spent there worthwhile. Freedom at last!

I've been with Stevens for seven years. They have their challenges, but they actively work to fix issues. Trucking is demanding, and they expect hard work, but they are fair in their expectations and take care of the employees who take care of them. If you’re looking for long hours and high earnings, this is the place. They’ve always had the miles and always will.

I worked here before retiring, and I’d highly recommend it if you want miles and weekly home time. They offer Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance and other benefits. No slip seating and great management. Family-owned, and they treat you like a person instead of just a number. However, the starting pay should be 50 cents per mile instead of 42.

Everything in their job postings is misleading. If you apply for flatbed, expect to work with a one-ton truck and dry van as well. They claim you’ll be out 2–3 days per week but expect more like 5+. In-state work is hourly, while out-of-state is percentage-based. There is no local oilfield work and minimal oilfield jobs overall—you’ll mostly haul flatbed freight. The pay is terrible, and insurance is even worse. There’s no 401k or retirement plan. They refuse to disclose pay rates on percentage loads, actively hiding them, and get defensive when questioned. This is not a great company—it’s more of a stepping stone for newcomers, which is why turnover is so high.

There’s no pressure since most drivers are rookies. Training is decent but limited to automatics—no manuals. They briefly review stick-shift basics. Mostly training for work at this company or other major carriers. Overall, it’s a positive atmosphere with helpful staff.
