Tanker's trucking industry has TanTara Transport like none other. "Driver-first" it says; you aren't merely a digit against a wall, you're in TanTara's kin circle. Join the crew? From the get-go, you're sucked into a warm ambiance, thumping with encouragement! In contrast to most others in tanker trucking, TanTara's dispatchers reckon the drivers by their voice—a family feel. On top of and beyond that, TanTara provides open communication avenues and makes a regular thing out of cookouts, too—President Mike Riggan is even available within reach. Nonstop support isn't left out, ensuring that those at the wheel of a tanker truck, CFD, always find someone to give a call—adding an ooze of job happiness and good feelings.
TanTara Transportation is good. It also sounds quite family-friendly. But it also offers strong drivers' support, too - wonderful, right? From management, there's direct access, and a lot of work culture is welcomed. Yep. Not so good things about communication, maybe consistency, too, are true! But for most drivers, every praise for the company. The atmosphere is positive, with lots of reliable equipment. It suits CDL tanker drivers. A good, solid choice here. They want a supportive workplace? Surely! Ponder this; it might help! However, the applicants, perhaps the potential sort, need to weigh things - pros and cons, personal priorities! Maybe think on that!

TanTara Transportation—blowing a trumpet of pride and whatnot—works closely with the Midwestern atmosphere preserved in Iowa: values of friendliness and dedicated effort. The heartbeat here? Keeping promises predictable. There exists an expectation, for drivers and customers alike, that these promises materialize into reality. Fulfillment should always take place; however, difficulty sometimes indeed interjects itself. Yet, we summon preventives; one's own will towards endurance comes into play. An existence resting upon complete honesty, diligently mixed in, is integrity. A child's play success has stirred this recipe for long years; we are well-reputed in the trucking fraternity, especially within those CDL tanker careers. Be it a thoughtful graininess of what we're dealing with—tankers on regional trips or OTR—what keeps reigning paramount in our business are trust and reliability. So palpable, you won't miss it. Trust our word—we are trustworthy.

Whoever tantara has driving truck number 762, needs to have him take another course in parking. Sitting in a pilot I have to blow my horn because he’s about to crash into me, and then he still doesn’t know how to correct himself so I have to get out and help him and even then he's having trouble getting into the space . I’m a trucker I know it’s not always easy but jeez he couldn’t even park straight back when he finally got into the space, I had to tell him to go forward and to the right because he had the front end of the trailer about to wreck into my truck. And he’s rushing all to smoke his cigarette in his truck
I was traveling on I-35 with one of the Tantara trucks in front of me. The truck had no doors and a broken pallet flew out of the back at my vehicle. There were large pieces flying all over my windshield obstructing my vision. I didn't know at the time I had damage until I stopped. I was so shaken up I pulled off and looked my vehicle over and discovered a turn light busted. I made a police report and the officer said usually the companies are good at doing the right thing. Wrong. Unfortunately, I only have a picture of the side of vehicle and didn't get the license plate. I was so scared I got around the truck and didn't want to be on my phone so that's all I have. I called the company and talked to a nice gentlemen who put me through to his boss. He took my information down and asked me to email him the picture I had. I did. He said he would investigate it and call me. He never did. I was never once rude or demanding. He still will not answer my calls or email. This company should have done the right thing and they definitely did not. Feb 6, 2020 In response to your comment about coughing up dollars. I never once asked for money. And as for the proof, I provided you with a picture of the semi-truck, it said Tantara right on it. I couldn't get a picture of the license plate because I didn't want to crash. I had pieces of wood from a pallet flying at my vehicle, so I had to get around the truck. At 70+ miles per hour on the interstate it was a scary experience. Also, I'm not going to falsify a police report and risk jail time for a busted turn signal. Keep your dollars and stay classy Tantara.
TanTara Transportation has demonstrated the definition of a safe trustworthy trucking company. Safety is their number one priority. They will not let you down!
Been here almost six months. No complaints. People are nice. Equipment is good. Pay is alright. Wish the miles were more consistent but I'll blame the economy more than the office for that. Not planning on going anywhere else anytime soon. Edit. Had to leave for family reasons. Was intending on going back after my family situation is taken care of, but they screwed me on my quarterly bonus when I left (Jan-Mar). Not sure I'll be going back as I had intended. I really needed that bonus under the circumstances, but I guess they might not want me back that bad. Edit #2. Well, that's odd. I was told I left on good terms. And while I certainly don't claim to be a super trucker, I: never got any tix/accidents, took good care of the equip., ran hard, never late (best I recall), stayed on top of paperwork and got along with everyone. So odd. . . But, best wishes to all at Tantara. ✌️ Oh, and the bonuses went out my last week there, so I wasn't a former employee just yet. . .
Great place to work, pleasant atmosphere, and your not just a number your a name
Learned to be a flatbedder here!! Great company! Great people!
Outside truck service by rear-end. Just so happens that it's special appreciation day for the repair shop but not until after I take the time to get here. Been waiting for and hour and a half for anyone to show back up here to work. I wouldn't expect anything else from a rinky dinky trucking company. As for the response given, when you call hours ahead before you even arrive and nobody is available and you sit patently for an additional hour and a half one loses one's patience. Sorry but I cut right to the chase. Someone should always be on site regardless what others are doing. As for the lack of communication between you and you're shop management one who holds the position should always answer calls from their employer. There's no excuse not to pick up a phone or reply to a text message pertaining to such aspects of the position they hold. Patience basically has nothing to do with it. It's called responsibility for the business of doing business. There used to be a time when that actually mattered in this country but now days it's a seldom act. If it was your own truck and drivers I'm quite sure you wouldn't try to find fault in any other than the ones who's actually responsible.
Been working here for a month now and this is one of the best decisions I have made!!
Excellent people to do business with! TanTara Transportation is a family-owned company with proud, professional team members. Honesty, integrity, active community involvement by a hometown company that reaches across the USA!
Great family owed company great pay and great home time and they always treat the driver first class. Their equipment is the best in the business trucks run 70mph no automatics if want to be treated like a real truck driver and not just a number TanTara is the right place for you
Yes they have, and they have been growing the company and built the new office and driver's lounge with showers, washer and dryer and a new fleet of trucks and I see so much more to come. I remember when Mike R. Announced that JEFF R. DAVID R.AND MATT H. Were going to be investing in the company to buy it and I can say they have been doing good things because nothing was given too them and they have worked hard to bring the company to where it is now. Give them a call if you're interested in driving for them
What do I say about Tan Tara other than it was a complete nightmare from day one all the way through to the end. Don't let the owners son who calls himself the safety director tell you anything otherwise I seen them go through personally 25 drivers that I knew about in 4 months. Not one of my paychecks was correct. The office staff was always cordial but the bottom line is they had to know what was going on with the exception of the dispatcher and Anthony who I truly believe with a good person at heart and just did not have any words anymore to try to explain what was going on other than "I feel for you" this is the prime example of a company that was built probably by the blood and sweat of one man being destroyed buy spoiled children who obviously have no clue what they're doing but I honestly believe think they do. Yet actions speak louder than words. I challenge you if you were told otherwise or believe I'm wrong to get a hold of me you can message me through the app so you're reading this review on
As an company that deals with TanTara on a daily/weekly basis. TanTara is a very family oriented company that truly cares about their employees and their business. They are an A++ company to work for and do business with and they hire the best for on the road or office help. Very friendly atmosphere at TanTara.
My husband drives for Tan Tara. The experience has been great so far. They have been true to their word (which doesn't happen often in trucking). The owner of the company even called and checked in on my husband when he hurt his hand.
My first trip out and everything is looking great, friendly staff. Nice building, and nice equipment.
I am a former employee. The only reason I left was because of some family difficulties that I had to be home for a few months. I explained to my driver manager what was going on and was told to take care of my family then come back when everything was okay again. They are a great company to drive for. Good equipment. Everyone is as friendly as they claim. I will be trying to go back as soon as I am able.
TanTara is a great company to work for. I have been here 16 years and knew in year one that this is the company I want to be apart of and retire from. TanTara is family oriented and cares for their employees. If you show dedication and hard work TanTara does not let it go unnoticed. Its like that saying “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” only with TanTara they will go above and beyond for their employees. We treat our drivers very well; with this company you are not just a unit number you are family. If you want to work for a caring and loyal employer, a place to call home, then TanTara is the place you wanna be.
These people are awesome to work with and work for!! Veteran owned company that takes pride in what they do. They take care of their people, their customers, and especially their freight. Proud to say I work with these people. Thank you for all you do TanTara!
As a mechanic... I have worked for a large carrier with several terminals and for a small company that didnt really care about their equipment... when I came to TanTara....I felt something different.....something good. They have great morals and stand behind our military, first responders, and just flat out whats right. That alone is something I support and means more than words could say to me. I can safely say I am at home with TanTara!!!
Tantera is the reason Homeless individuals remain Homeless. Tantara is the reason Individuals on Disability cannot raise themselves up. Tanterra reaches for hooks in the Sky to Beat YOU up. Tanterra is the reason I remain disillusioned on the Trucking Industry. This is just to Big a Deal to pass up. No, I'm not kidding. You were aware of all My Situations, WELL before I came to Muscatine Iowa. You knew I hadn't driven a Stick in 9 Months, You knew I hadn't had a Trucking Job since June of 2018. I absolutely made sure that information was known. I didn't want to drive 250 miles to Muscatine from Omaha, plan to move there, and exist there, give up everything I had going on. Change My Life. Only to be sent away, thrown away, like a piece of Trash. I made everything to do with Me Verbatim Clear. I told Monica that I needed 10 or 15 minutes in the Truck, in the Yard, to get My timing down do to the fact that I hadn't driven a Stick in 9 or 10 months. I was under the impression I would get it. I told Monica that 9 Months ago I had Graduated from Iowa Central Community College in Transportation Technology. I told Monica that Prior to that I had not Worked in the Trucking Industry for a little over 3 Years, at which time I worked for Swift. And,,,,, prior to that I had Graduated from Iowa Central. I have a C.D.L.A, I have 2 endorsements, I have over 200.000 miles ( at some point, and I told You when that point was), I have gone through Blizzards in Utah, Whiteouts in Montana. Ice Storms in Missouri. With Trucks wrecking all around Me. Sat out a Hurricane in Georgia. Done Passes that few attempt. All in a Ten Speed. Oh Yeah,,,, 10 or 12% grades in upstate New York. And You talking Smack about Me Lying to You. Remember God is Watching.
I started with TanTara Transportation a few months ago and everyone has made me feel so welcome and comfortable. It's such a great group of people and I'm happy to be a part of the company/family!
Thank you very much to Chad from the shop for fixing my trailer free of charge. God Bless you!
TanTara is family owned and operated and the company has a true sense of what giving back to the community means. Constantly putting together and donating to different fundraisers. They are definitely a staple company in the Muscatine area!
Tremendous, locally owned and operated business that Muscatine County is so grateful to have! The Riggan family are dedicated to their staff members and community. They continue to give back in a variety of ways. Honored to call them my personal friends and wish them nothing but the best! Thank you for keeping our country moving via your business!
Great family owed company great pay and great home time and they always treat the driver first class. Their equipment is the best in the business trucks run 70mph no automatics if want to be treated like a real truck driver and not just a number TanTara is the right place for you
I’m a driver and I had one of TanTara’s drivers cut me and a bunch of other drivers off in a construction zone near Sherman Tx on April 5, 2021. They need to teach their drivers common sense and curtesy. Schools don’t teach that, matter of fact two week courses don’t teach much. If these are “experienced” drivers maybe the company needs to screen better.
I have been here 1.5 years. Everyone here at Tantara has been honest with me from day 1. I've been driving since 07 and been at 14 other companys. I'm former navy and right off they treat me with respect. None of the other companys did that. I'm going to say they are great company. They do treat everyone like family. I'm going to say to those that don't agree with me that IF you do your JOB then you would not have been FIRED..it don't matter what company you go to,if dont do Your job then its YOUR fault. Y ou can't cry moan complain and expect anyone to keep you around when you DISRESPECT those companies..I'll say grow up and stop acting like a 10 yr old. I absolutely love it here and I'm not going anywhere else..I found my home..all I do is DO my JOB as well as I can..truck 8030 Mark..
I’m a 100% family man, most important part of my day is coming home to my family at the end of a day, I’m not the over the road driver but I do run a dedicated route and honestly I couldn’t be happier the pay is competitive the hours work for my family and I and everyone in the office are business ready but with a family setting. They believe in free American values and the American dream. Tantara American first
Very nice company to work for. Tantara helps you with becoming a owner operator with one of the best lease purchase programs in the industry. My decision to come was easy
Good place to work, stated great for me then Turned downhill towards the end. Dispatch dosent relay messages nor will work with you on home time.
