Our drivers represent our companies. Talk to them about not urinating at fuel pumps, especially when you're at the pump closet to the door. There are cameras everywhere, not to mention chancing exposing himself to a child. Nov 28th @ 1:15pm Max Meadows, VA

Lots of parking, good area to rest for the night. Not a lot of yard for my dog but it was needed. Didn't remember to take pictures of the inside of the building but I don't think it was that bad inside. Customers are kind and nice. Came here to get my truck fixed and they did it within a good time so I come go home for my hometime.

This is for this terminal. I don't like it. The bathrooms need an update. The shower is luke warm, but faucet is hot hot. If showering here, carry towels. There are none in sight. Ice machine dont work. This terminal reminds me of the Ellenwood terminal. Good spot to park and sleep.

I can't reccomend this company to anybody first things started off rough I got an older truck that hadn't been cleaned yet so had to wait hrs for that I should have seen the warning signs then, the rest of my time here just was miserable because of the nonsense that goes on here, it's alot of wasted time dealing with loads because you cant find empty trailers most of the time then they expect you to drive to multiple locations and find one yourself as a company how do you not know where your equipment is, plus you aren't getting paid for the easter egg hunt for an empty and the miles for loads never match up to the driving you do here as well so your shorted in pay every load atleast 50 miles I sat almost every weekend waiting around for them to figure out somethings to get me moving nobody cares about equipment 95% of the trailers need some type of repair so once again your sitting around not getting paid, I parked my truck in richland and took home time came back to my truck it was completely trashed and someone took my new mattress along with damaging the brand new truck so guessing they just let drivers use trucks whole your on hometime so I had to get a hotel for the night and drive to olive branch the next day for a matress because richland didn't have any, it's just ridiculous here for a driver I would stay far away from this company they are owned by us xpress which swift bought out so it's definitely a mega carrier your just a number experience

Not good company for experienced drivers pay 1300 a week despite how many miles you do and taxes will take $300 of that so you'll get $1,000 a week actual pay. I am a driver currently right now and my DM tried to make me take a load without him sending it to my tablet. He lied and said the systems are down which wasn't true the system doesn't work like that. I told him I will still do the stop but I asked to switch DMs and he said okay he told me this guy West was going to call me shortly with a new plan and he lied about that I've been sitting for 4 days with no contact to anyone no one will answer the phone I'm just sitting here at a TA truck stop. This is a horrible company don't come here. And by the way they're also owned by Swift and you know how they do.

Hello my name is Aron and I work at Pilot Flying J 595 located in Marion Illinois and we see a multitude of issues on a daily basis. On this particular night I was set to go clear my prime parking spaces for the Drivers, who actually paid for those spaces could park there. After doing my rounds, I proceeded back into the building, and into which I got a phone call asking if I was the one that was instructed to moved prime parking I proceeded to say yes at this point, he introduced himself as Mr. Rich Hernandez from total transport out of Richland, Mississippi, and he goes on to tell me how he seen what I was doing out there and that he had my back the whole time if things were to go south ya know and I tell you what, from a business standpoint, any company that hires, Rich Hernandez, and his team are absolutely phenomenal because this gentleman here went above and beyond for me he made sure that I was able to come home to my family. He did his part And keeping me safe while interacting in a dangerous situation and if you’ve never been to a truck stop at 4:30 AM, you’ll never know, but thankfully, Rich and his team had my back, I did make it home to my baby girl, my wife this morning who knows it may be all because of Rich Hernandez and his crew… Boys keep laying those miles and bring yourself down back to the house.

These OTR trainers do not set a great example for the company but not only that themselves. They hold no accountability in the wrong that they do and hold no sense of integrity, they do just enough to get by, cover it up and still get paid. And boy are they successful in doing that. I mean just drop all professionalism and see how far they can get with you. Instead of sticking to the script and doing the job they are getting paid for and set their students on a route to success. Once they see you will not bite on any level of unprofessionalism they throw at you, they completely fail you and gain passive aggressive feelings towards you and make your experience a complete living hell. Female trainers that is. Trainers can be the real hazards to a company, they set the tone they really do. And if it weren’t for me not being a follower, have integrity and a damn moral compass I would have fell right into my trainers nonsense. I’m more than sure you guys have amazing trainers but you guys definitely have more bad than good. Whoever is responsible for the training department needs to take a serious rain check on these OTR driver trainers, they are completely dishonest on the work they say they do and are setting new drivers up for FAILURE.

So far so good. Everyone has been really nice. When I go into the office the people I've met or dealt with know me by name. The miles have been great. We usually have a load waiting when we finish the one we're on. We've had no problem getting detention or layover pay. If our miles are to far off when we finish a load, I just let or dispatcher know and he'll make the adjustment. We have a wonderful dispatcher, Jonah Burroughs, he's easy to work with and has been getting us the miles. And you don't have a dispatcher calling and aggravating you if your doing your job!

Total is great starter company. They make it feel like a family and help you as much as possible. The only downfall is it may be difficult to get ahold of someone on the phone but that's a given they are busy. All in all it's a good company. I would highly recommend it!!

My husband worked for Total for almost 9 years. They were a great company and treated their drivers good. They have an open door policy, so if you have an issue that can't be resolved, they will address it just make sure you use the chain of command-fleet manager, terminal manager, higher ups in Jackson. If you are willing to run the miles, they are available as long as you are dependable. If you see a negative review, it's probably because that driver rejected alot of loads, late, only wanted to run certain areas. They have no force dispatch. They are now offering more dedicated lanes. Trucks are 2019 and newer, mainly Freightliner but they are adding Kenworth and they keep the maintenance up. The pay was good and they offered a monthly bonus if you met the criteria. They mainly run the east coast down to Southwest, but they do go to California, Oklahoma, Oregon. The only issue he had was they could never keep enough trailers and they didn't service the ones they had consistently, but they have been working to correct that problem. They are a subsidiary of US Xpress, but run under their own authority.

Total Transportation awesome place to work they really treat their drivers with respect , I recently spent a week in Jackson, Ms is where Total Transportation has their main terminal I was treated with respect and the unusual thing I didn't meet anyone that complained about their job or that said they were not treated and was the same in Dallas at their sister company USXPESS they bought the old sneider terminal and gutted and renovated the whole the whole thing pool table, several big showers a theater room first class all the way, they've got about 15 bay first shop and the construction company was adding on another huge building, I really appreciate a first class trucking company, detail shop hmmm could've been final check

Driver beware. Worst experience ever here. Was told my truck was ready for pick up. The shop is LASY. I was force to clean my own truck inside and out. They didn't know how to run a PM on it, I had to run the PM myself to get the truck from constantly idling. I had to explain to them how to hook up a CB, they told me I to do it myself. Meanwhile, the truck come with NO ACCOMMODATIONS for driver comfort, ( i.g. a mini-fridge or microwave or TV ) USXPRESS Corporate should be ashamed to have this terminal in operations. Worse experience I ever had. USXPRESS don't care about their drivers is my opinion.

I should have come here years ago instead of going to the many other companies that I tried..I have been driving a tractor trailer for only 10 years now so I know a little about the trucking industry as far as how a recruiter will lie to you just to get you in the door and get paid…others lie about their trucks…your running area..your pay…ohhh man I have heard it all…These people here at total from start to finish are the best…my recruiter Dawn was exceptional…the orientation instructor Denzel was great…then after getting into my own truck I got a fantastic Fleet Manager…and the rest of the dispatch team …they are the best…Bill..Ryan..Logan..Brandon ..James….etc. Also Total is under the umbrella of USXPRESS which is a wonderful company as well…the fuel desk people are easy to work with and Breakdown is amazing….especially the ones I worked with…Dave..Steve and Jeff…oh and Dave gives great directions if you ever have a problem locating a trailer…but anyone in breakdown is good and they are very polite and friendly all of the time… Down in Jackson MS at their main terminal they really treat you right…I also have to say that Melissa in logs is wonderful..she will fix any problems and answer any questions that you might have about logs…I have called her many times and she is so helpful…I just can’t say enough good things about them…The training department is the best that I have seen…Mrs. O and Victor know an engine and every part of a truck inside and out they are remarkable…the shop got me in today even though they have a wait…they squeezed me in for a couple of minor details with my truck and they are so polite…This is the best company to come to if you are right out of trucking school or if you have been around the block like me… There are many lanes to choose from and the pay is great…the trucks are exceptional inside and out and also there is plenty of room for advancement…I love total transportation..and I am glad that I finally came here…I wish I didn’t waste time with all of the prior companies that I was with…anyway I am here now and this is going to be the company that I will retire from…many years from now… My advice to anyone thinking about coming here is make that change and take that leap of faith it will all be worth it in the end.

I'm not sure how anyone can say anything bad about them. I've been trucking 22 years and seen A LOT OF COMPANIES. This is definitely one of the best! I love everything about them! My dispatcher keeps me moving. I'm able to go the gym everyday. The money is good and I get home time when I need it. Good job Cody Smothers!

I could give this company a 5 stars a few months ago but for now I don't feel i should due to some management issues with the account i work for I will start by saying that it is our responsibility to honor the amount of work that takes to create and maintain a company of this size. And is understandable that mistakes can be made not only by drivers and staff but also management. We are humans and humans make mistakes. I am still an employee of this company and I love their friendly approach to the trucking business I was driver of the month twice in 2022 that right there tell you how disciplined i am and how serious i take my job. This review is actually edited and the reason for me to do that is simply because is important to be fair and sincere when we write reviews so other people can get a factual message. The issues i complained about previously were professionally resolved and i thank human resources and our operations director for the personal attention they put to make things work for the best of this great company I want to make sure that in this review i also mention the positive experiences i have had while working for Total transportation. First i want to personally thank the trainers Mr Brown and Mr Scott Harris for the amazing job they did preparing me for the road...no tickets and no accidents in one year is the result of the amazing work my trainers did...thank you Mr Brown and thank you Scott Harris the two of you represent Total transportati in a very respectful and professional way. Don't text and drive. That save lives Be safe out there drivers...

I started here fresh out of CDL school. Seems like your typical big corporate job but thankfully being a truck driver, youre away from alot of the office stuff. The pay isnt anything to write home about but they have had no issue getting me miles and loads. Even requesting home time is pretty easy and straight forward, especially as a new driver thats a plus.
