Why Truline?

Why Truline?

In 1962 Truline Corporation was founded by Grant Truman with a single truck, moving produce from the West Coast to the Midwest and bringing back beef and other agricultural products. In 1982, Truline was one of the first to use curtain-sided trailers on the West Coast, improving customer service chains. In 1995, Truline added dry vans and refrigerated trailers to their fleet. The new century brought many changes for the company.

Truline hired me at the start of 2023 as a Flatbed with moffett delivery driver for Home Depot Deliveries of UT. I already had experience from previous employer doing Home Depot Deliveries for 3yrs. Truline started me out paying me more than my previous employer and did the same for other drivers from my previous employer. They also brought in top of the line equipment. Brand new Peterbuilt tractors. Closer management that I have to say took me a while to get with it. Higher safety standards is something else I see with Truline. I was able to check around with similar jobs and what they were paying but saw that Truline was paying me way better. Back at the start of February I broke my achilles tendon right outside of my home. Truline stuck it out with me for 3 months letting me come back to my job. Debra my HR manager gave me 3 one month leave of absence. So I was finally able to get back to work on May 2 with no doctor restrictions. My right leg has healed back fairly well and I'm getting back to normal. I'm able to do my job as well before injury. Sometimes my job causes me to do things that I thought I couldn't do because of my past injury. A week after breaking my achilles there was no way I could jump or get up onto my tiptoes. It's 4 months later and I have no problem jumping or getting on my tiptoes. Getting back to work has helped strengthen my leg and foot. I have to give thanks to Truline and my managers Cevin, Chad, Chase, and Sam. My job could have been given to someone else. Someone less risky. I'm sure there were doubts about me making it back. But why did I stick it out for 3 months. Truthfully I missed the job. I love delivering here in this part of Utah. Park City and Salt Lake area have the most scenic roads. The mountains and canyons along with their rivers, creeks, and lakes are what I get to see on a weekly basis. My job with Truline gives me all of this.

I was with this company over a year and 3 months. Not only that my manager was rude until I requested to speak with they're supervisor and that attitude changed. After a year I never received a raise and when I finally resigned I wasn't payed for my PTO comes to find out if you quit you lose it. Use your PTO before you quit or you'll be like me.

Mechanic guys were very rude for no apparent reason. I arrived to complete a delivery and had not been here before. Went up to a group of guys literally just standing around talking. I politely asked where I needed to go for delivery and signature. Three of these guys turned, looked at me, gave me a weird/dirty look and turned away without even acknowledging me. Had to ask two more times before one of the guys reluctantly showed me. Then didn't acknowledge me again when I walked out and told them to have a good day. Definitely didn't feel welcome here. I know the industry I am in is male dominant but there's no reason to treat another person that way. Whether I'm female or male it shouldn't matter. I work harder than most men out there nowadays. Hopefully my next time there will be more pleasant.

This is not a bad place, all these people complain of there past employment here probably couldn't get with the program or procedures of the company and quit out of cowardice. Actually give it a try here, a genuine try and it's actually a really decent place!

Horrible place to work. I was injured pulling a flatbed and ended up having multiple surgeries. They were rude to me. They tried to deny me the benefits of workers compensation which benefit the employers in Nevada. The family who owns the company treated me poorly. There are much better places to work. I do not recommend this company to anyone not even my worst enemies.

Just wanted to share my experience with Truline after two years of employment. (Staff) a lot of well seasoned individuals. Everyone is a intricate piece of the puzzle. I make great money here and am able to get through home every other day. The equipment is in great shape. I came into the yard last week, and there was a sea of brand new trucks. (Payroll) I always get paid on time. There hasn’t been one time where something was wrong on my check. (Shop) Great group of guys and gal who do a great job. Special thanks to our tire guy. We appreciate all of you. Don’t get me wrong just like any job in any industry there are hiccups. The key is communication. If you take the time to voice your concerns, there is always someone who will listen. I know this from experience. If your looking for a new family or need someone to move your freight safely and on time. TRULINE!!

Ok, How Can I Start... The recruiter advised me that I would be driving a regional route. I was with this company for all of 3 weeks on a dedicated route to CO. I was only looking to work for a company that I will drive regional or local only. I felt I was trick and lied to. This CO route always took 4 Days due to obstacles every time. These obstacles were no fault of my own. I put in a request for time off due to a funeral. I spoke to my fleet manager, who doesn't have any sympathy or empathy . She just wanted to get her load moved. I explained to her that I would not make the funeral if I did my run. I asked several times if she could provide me a CA run, where I knew that I would make it back in time to drive to the funeral. She refused to assist me. I even spoke to 2 different dispatchers and asked them to cover my run because I knew I didn't have enough time to complete this run safely and make it back in time to drive to another state for the funeral. The dispatchers advised me they covered my run and also emailed my fleet manager twice. I received a call 4 days later saying I was a no call no show. I was terminated. You would think if I was a no call no show they would have contacted me at least the next day. They never contacted me with a new schedule. This company is bad news when it comes to having your driver's back

Terrible company the recruiter advised me I was hired and they told me all about orientation just for me to call the day before the orientation for the address and they tell me I was not in fact not hired and they selected someone else ????? We’ll if that’s true where is the communication on that no call, no email, or even a text which is crazy, and I would have been looking dumb to show up to a job that didn’t even have the respect to say we selected someone else after we already choice you it’s ridiculous !!!!

Make sure you do the math before accepting an offer from them. They barely pay $1100 per week and you work 70 hours per week. They’ll tell you that you have a rest break at home but expect you to run over 700 miles in a day governed at 65 and with a drop and a live load at a different location all in the same day….

What is the best part of working at the company? The work isn't hard. The fleet I was on, worked fro 10pmish till done, the company is good to work for overall if you don't mind the work schedule What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The shift is the most stressful to me. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It is a typical trucking company, they treat you good enough and pay okay What is a typical day like for you at the company? Drive truck to and from Barstow California then deliver goods to local grocery stores around valley

I can do this job in my sleep. Very simple for my lane, my manager and dispatch are really cool and helpful. Some of the other drivers you can't trust to do their job as in; do not fill up the truck after their shift, do not fulfill tasks , leave trash in trucks. Overall it's great for home daily compared to other local companies but the pay and benefits are really rough. Every other local company pays $5-$8 more an hour a day have far less responsibility. All in all though I will never leave on bad terms with this company

I worked there for 6 years. It started as a family feel but just like family they turn on you. They don't value your employment. They don't care about you as a person. You're just another expendable truck driver. If you kiss a** you'll make it just fine if you air your grievences they will mark you down as a no rehire.
