Very quick unloading and nice people
Horrible customer service. I was looking for a vendor for my start up business and the sales rep stood me up. I had to get in touch with him. He wasn't even gonna let me know. Said he had a personal issue come up. Well I can work with that but he knew he had customers today so he should have told his boss and they could have got in touch with me. That didn't happen. So this place won't get my business. You don't treat customers this way.
I was broke down in Yuma, Arizona the other day with a trailer issue I need an extra pair of hands, one of your drivers saw I needed help and came right over to lend a hand. They don’t make drivers like that anymore. Hope you guys know what you got. I tried to poach him to come over to my company but he said you guys treated him good…. Thanks Scott truck number 63407 P.S …..we got it fixed
Quick in quick out just get their on time and your good.
unloading by Appt. i waiting on door 3 hrs until start unload. higher lumper fee. NO WARM RESTROOM FOR DRIVERS!!!! TODAY 17°F!!! SNOW STORM!
Driver in Kenworth cut me off with my young toddlers in back running me off the road. Almost took mt left front ture off with his ICC bumper. Made report.
Best place ever, very nice place and employees great service here can’t complain wish every warehouse is like this 😎😎
I delivered here today for the first time. Immediately upon arrival, I had to stop at guard shack and check in. The gentleman that came out was so very kind, I appreciate his approach and kindness. After check in, I went around to receiving, parked along the fence, and walked my paperwork into the office. The lady there was also very kind. She figured out how much my lumper was going to be and I paid her with a personal credit card. It was a very simple process. She advised me to just go back out to my truck and wait and they would bring the paperwork to me, as they did. Thank you Upper Lakes Foods for having good people on staff. It makes the world's difference to a driver.
Security guard was exceptionally friendly and warm when entering their compound. The lady "Julie" (receiving office) was quite exceptionally the complete opposite. Very UNfriendly, ALL business, and SHORT about it. One might say this particular "human being" simply has no sense of humour...but it is absolutely doubtful she has ever even seen the definition of the word humor. Planning to bring a dictionary along if I ever revisit this facility!!!
Paid 375 for the lumper fee, and they didn't even let me use the restroom. They show you cold, smelly plastic can outside. It's like pay and don't bother us anymore kind of company
Good place to deliver your load, quick unloading.
Awesome place to delivery . Unloaded in about a hour . Lady at receiver is very kind .
Nice place to deliver just no overnight parking
Great place, nice people. Very fast.
Great place good people
Upper Lakes Foods is a great company to work for. In my position, the work was challenging, yet rewarding. They have a great support staff to help out the driver's if needed. The equipment was fairly new and well maintained. Routes were sometimes intimidating in size but nothing one driver could not handle. Great benefits and competitive pay too.
Upper Lakes Foods is a place where they treat you like family and it’s easy to communicate with management. Physical work but pay is great, reliable equipment, overall one of the best group of co-workers and management I could ask for. I would highly recommend.
OTR Driver Great place to work treated the way a company driver should be treated newer equipment plenty of miles speed limit trucks home weekly they will work with you on the areas you want to run .
This a very family oriented company. They always make time for family matters. I love it here and would not dream of working any where else. Thank you Upper lakes foods
They do not care! Lies about hours! Overworked drivers! Never enough staff! You will regret applying here!!! Management is incompetent!!! Not a family company.
Excellent place tp work for, hands down the best job I've had. The management are fair and cool and willing to communicate to help anyone, great pay and fun all around job I thoroughly enjoyed what I did and would be there still if not for moving back home.
Real family company Managements works with you and your schedule. Work 3 or 4 days or 5 or 6. If they have the work you can get it. Pay is average for the industry. Some days are packed and crazy and other days are a breeze. It balances out.
Pay & benefits My pay and benefits at Upper Lakes Foods are pretty low. No 401k match, expensive medical insurance. Pay cuts recently. Not a good place to work.
The management is terrible will work you to death and modify your hours if you let them. Will promise you one thing and when you arrive for your route it's something completely different and will leave you stranded with out call or text until work is complete
Job is decent,it is however not stable hours and is third shift with no other shift available..I need a more stable environment for my family.and I would rather work a different shift
Although the hours vary immensely and the work is tough and grueling, the overall benefits and workers make this a place worth working for. All equipment and uniforms are provided along with weather appropriate clothing. Advancement opportunities are limited but there are ways to do it. On the job training is a plus and lots of chances to learn the ins and outs of the industry. The management is very forgiving when it comes to scheduling and it WILL build up your endurance.
Management tries to work with you. But is a fast paced Foodservice company. Which the pay is way to low for the industry. It is a small family run company, this might be why the pay is not competitive.
Great job, just hard to get up by 1am every morning. I'm a family guy and going to bed by 7pm every night isnt always easy. And then working 12-14 hrs a day really takes a toll on the body. But the money is good. Just cant sustain the schedule
Overall good place to work. Management is accomodating within reason and relaxed. Pay is good and TONS of OT if you are hourly. DO NOT take a job if you are afraid of physical work. The hours are misrepresented. More thqn likely you will be on 13-14 hour shifts, and occasional 16 hour shifts. If you can handle it, you will love this job.
Upper Lakes Foods is a decent place to work. Job stability and decent pay. Hours are inconsistent, odd hours but good enough to support a family. Ok place to work..
I enjoyed that I would go into work knowing that I had a job to do and I would do it, they staff was friendly and were great at helping me learn my job
Wasn't a bad place to work. The pay was good and the hours weren't lacking at all. Management was very good to me, never had any issues there at all.
Upper lakes foods has been a blessing for me and my family. I have been with upper lakes in the Janesville wi facility for about 6 months and they have been everything we have hoped for. I really enjoy working with my co workers and get along with my supervisors and management I have met along the way. I am looking forward to the years to come and all the new and exciting things ahead.
