Very good company. Excellent home time especially if you live in the STL area. Very peaceful environment. Dispatchers are polite and will never pass the blame unto you, so there is no reason to raise your voice or try to assert your dominance over them. On top of that you are not just a number to them and that is reassuring. Vega actually cares about your safety and well-being unlike the major carriers, Vega will always give you plenty of time with no rush to complete your task. I know it sounds weird but all in all operations, dispatch, and the owners make sure you are 100% comfotable while working, just be ready to work not play. They will find the best lane that fits you. With that being said, don't come in demanding things because operations and dispatch already have you covered; It makes you look demanding, plus there is no I in team. Dispatch works with you so work with them and come to a conclusion as a team. However, If you don't live in STL just communicate with your DM and they will definitely get you home every 2 to 3 week. All you have to do is plan and communicate efficiently, and it will work out without you even needing to ask. Just like any other career make sure you perform your duty correctly and keep dispatch happy. If you do that I promise you will be happy. Outstanding pay, PLENTY of work, as much as you can handle legally, physically, and mentally.

Former employee, great company to work for if you want weekends off. The only thing I didn't like about this company was the camera inside the truck. Other than that it's a great company. Also governor speed at 65 mile.

They were fantastic in helping frail grandparents attend the wedding of their granddaughter. They dropped off a wheelchair, provided a limo with a low threshold to facilitate entry, stayed until the grandparents were ready to come home. Truly professional. Would use this service again in a heartbeat.

There needs to be a better way for customers to track this company's truck location. It is a MUST have that can be the major difference between getting either 1 or a 5-star rating. For some reason whenever I request to track the location of the truck, I am advised that an email will be sent with updated coordinates. I never received the email, not even in spam. There has to be a more reliant method on tracking the truck. Here’s an idea: use Apple air tag!

Vega Transport was the former employer for a loved one of mine. He was promised a remote job (several employees in the office heard the promise too) when he returned from his leave of absence he was told that they filled the job. They expressed no remorse, but tried to point fingers saying it wasn’t their fault. The company is great for just a paycheck. The employees work 9.75 hours per day (Monday - Friday) and are only paid for 8 hours each day (salaried). I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work for this company. They are always looking to take financial short cuts at the expense of their employees.

After seeing truck 188 block a fuel island for his 30 minute break in big cabin, ok at 6:30 am on 5/14 I have a very low opinion of this company. Appears to be the new breed of flip flop wearing drivers that need to be weeded out of trucking. Fuel islands busy and he was in the store, when he did get back to the truck he still sat there longer at the pump itself!

Amazing company! Workers are very friendly and are always looking for ways to help the community. They even sponsored the March of Dimes Walk in which I participated in through close friends. The company paid for all the participants fees/shirts! Highly recommend the company to anyone.

Unfortunately I have to give 1 start but in reality this place deserves 0 stars, the company treatment is very bad, the dispatchers have the worst attitude ever, they treat drivers like slaves. They have no respect and do not know how to treat people properly, Alan is the worst one and he treats people like they are slaves who have no other choice. They will promise you something, but they will never deliver. The company's rate is the lowest in the nation. Worst company ever, I do not recommend anyone to work there.

There is multiple things very bad about this company, first of all the owner he is lie and play game with drivers. this my comment to let poor people know and not wasted them time by someone who has a little money to control poor driver, driver don't lease to purchase truck or buy truck from this company, they going to wasted and control you no matter what. they give you load from them contract they have and you have to wait and wasted time and they don't care about the driver time the goal they wants to make sure they have enough truck to cover them contracts loads then when you don't like to continue to work with them they take your truck then you lose your all precious payments just stupid game . second thing the truck has 3 cameras facing to the driver 2 on the windshield and one at the Zonar Elogs also facing to the driver and they have very bad feature when you speak or you call your family or any call they hear anything you speak just kinda like eavesdropping too bad. don't delete my comment if you delete it i will post it again let the people know the truth.

I am a driver for Vega Transportation and wanted to share my review. This is a great company to work for because we all work as a team and make sure we all are safe. The owner Irfan is a kind man and always wants what’s best for our interest. The team at the office from dispatchers, brokers, maintenance crew, and even recruiting management work very hard by implementing safety, coaching, and making sure we get the most loads as possible. Hopefully down the road I can be a owner operator and continue working with this great company.

I have been an employee of Vega transport for close to two years now and it has been by far the best company I have ever worked for. They solve and will work through any issues a driver may have with dispatch or any customer, you as a driver and employee come first. I have never worked for a company that didn’t see you as just a truck number or just some driver in a seat that can be easily replaced. With Vega I feel part of a family and respected for everything I do..There is no other company I’d rather work then Vega Transportation.. Thank you Vega for proving to me there are still some great trucking companies to work for !!!

Vega Transport is trucking company based out of Saint Louis, Missouri! I have known owners for the past 15 years, and their mission and vision is very straightforward and honest. The two brothers lead and manage by example. They are very dependable and reliable! They strive for excellence in safety which is one of the most important factors in this business. I have seen them grow throughout the years, and I can say with certainty that they work very hard to make sure that their employees always follow regulations. This is not a bad trucking company. I'd say if you as an owner operator get a good Deal with the boss or whoever give a nice pay Rate then it's worth it. But trucking job is a greedy game of money Especially for company driver it's nothing but life OTR in free cell. Good luck to you all.

I’m very happy to be driving for VEGA, they gave me the opportunity to work in a brand new truck with all the needs that we demand on the road. Yes an APU, Refrigerator, microwave Etc...! Flat tires Lumper fees Road assistance Appointments with shippers and receivers, etc are just a few things that my dispatcher Alen it’s always a head with me, if they have to talk something important like safety or driving they invite me to the office and have a good time talking with respect NOT just over the phone! Anyways you don’t need to be working 10 years here to notice what kind of company is! Come and check it out your self and meet Erin, Irfan, Amra, Brain, Nick and all the cool guys there! Thank you for having me with you guys!

Worked as a local driver primarily. Hours are hit or miss depending on your dispatcher. One day you might work 6hrs the next you could be working 10. Required to work every other Saturday if your hired for local. Pay is on the low side of the average. Longest tenured local drivers are topping out around 23-25 per hr.

Pretrip inspections required for safety purposes for the driver and others on the road. I've learned patience is key in this line of work especially safety around others. This job also is very family oriented. Manager treats you with respect and cares about employees. I've loved driving over the road it has allowed me to see America. Dispatchers are key and great at communications with drivers. Hardest part is being away from home.
