The delivery was super fast
I love how they keep you updated every step of the way
Their employees seem genuinely happy to work there, and that speaks volumes about the company culture. I’ll definitely be spreading the word
I’m all about convenience, and these guys deliver on that front.
Awesome visit
Just one of our customers, friendly workers there.
Where to start after they run you and expect you to drive for 5 to 6 days.and you try to get off night shift. They fire you for hitting the medium and saving the truck and trailer. I would been better off saving my self. Cause I've been off work since . I put all I had into this job and got the boot when they didn't need me anymore. Also they side it was my fault for the deer that ran into me. And made me pay for the tow bill. For the 3 years I had tried to get on with this company. It wasn't worth it to me. But it's just not for me. I tried local and it's not for me. But over all it was a good company to work for if you can get passed all the other.
meging onto i24 and driver of truck made no attempt to jet us merge into the traffic we ran out of room and had to come to a dead stop on the side if the freeway and wait for an opening to get into the right lane and reaccekerate from a dead stop. called the company and was told their driver doesn't have to yield to merging traffic. even as a courtesy. what a world we live in!
My 4 week Venture went as follows. Received my second week(full) check for 62 hours. Called payroll, no overtime pay!? Called HR to confirm and no "we are not required overtime pay for local drivers." Gave them a 2 week notice. Horrid company.
Driver of truck V21030 apparently thinks it's okay to do a uturn with oncoming traffic on 72A just on the other side of the bridge in Decatur Alabama. Slick move
Driver blew through a red light going at least 20 over at 2am on Nissan Drive on 11/4/16. I had an arrow, but hesitated to go, which was lucky because he'd have barreled into me. Guess he decided since there were only two of us at the light and no one else around that he could ignore traffic laws.
Unsafe drivers around Florence road area
One of the worst companies I’ve seen in 37 years of trucking,,,,drivers run
Was a driver under paid and then stole even more money
Venture Express is outstanding! The company's unwavering commitment to excellence and its supportive work environment create a truly rewarding experience. I highly recommend Venture Express as a fantastic place to work and grow professionally.
DO NOT DRIVE FOR THIS COMPANY THEY WILL LOWBALL YOUR LAST CHECK AND MAKE YOU PAY FOR EVERY ACCIDENT WHICH THE DEDUCTIBLE OF $500. THEY WILL LET YOU IFF FOR ANYTHING BUT IT IS NOT PAID YOU WILL DE LEFT BLIND. DO NOT EVEN WORK FOR FRANK AT CREATIVE THEY ARE CHEAP AND THE BATHROOMS SMELLED LIKE PISS SINCE THE DAY I STARTED WORKING FOR THEM. IN MY OPINION DO NOT WORK FOR THEM THERE EQUIPMENT IS TRASH INCLUDING THERE TRAILERS. AND THERE SHOP GUYS ARE RYDER AND THEY NEVER HAVE PARTS FOR THE TRUCKS
Venture Express has old, old, raggdy old trucks and trailers. I do not recommend this trucking company to anyone. In addition, the company ELD and accounting system do not reflect your hours of service or your actual time working your 11/14. You will loose money and waste your time here.
When your drivers is driving like a complete and total moron tailgating people in a major city trying to get them to go faster.
Equipment needs updated and more basic maintenance and cleaning inside out give driver's additional information, making time to do so .
Secuity guards are very nice. It did take a while to get my trailer unloaded.
Company has to be run by morons. Anytime I see a VE truck, its a daycab that's taking a much needed parking space either with or without a trailer.
I have been a driver here for 4 1/2 years and I think it is a great company. Falkville terminal has good people and good equipment.
The pay is competitive for the industry, and they offer a two-week shutdown each year. Running Honda equipment is a plus, and while some split-seating trailers show wear, maintenance addresses issues quickly. Insurance coverage is excellent.
What’s the best part of working here? The pay exceeds most local positions. The most stressful part? Picking up a trailer with a missing mudflap or faulty lights. The work environment is relatively easy, and dispatchers are exceptionally supportive and proactive in keeping things running smoothly. A typical day is seamless, as the tasks are repetitive and well-structured.
What’s the best part of working here? There’s always work available, whether locally or over the road, though it often means you’re never home. The most stressful part? Expect extremely long hours every day. The work environment and culture? Half the team understands the business, while the other half doesn’t. A typical day is exhausting, with challenging conditions—it’s crucial to have a good truck with working air conditioning, especially since the company is based in Tennessee.
What’s the best part of working here? All terminals except Canton, MS, are well-managed. The most stressful part? The Canton dispatch doesn’t prioritize driver concerns. The work environment? Privacy isn’t taken seriously here. A typical day is filled with ups and downs, mostly the latter.
What’s the best part of working here? The pay is better than most local jobs. The most stressful part? Trailers sometimes have missing mudflaps or faulty lights. The work environment and culture? Relatively straightforward work with supportive dispatchers who go above and beyond. A typical day? Predictable and efficient, with tasks running flawlessly.
This is a family-oriented company with a great work-life balance. The pay is decent for local roles. They’ve been incredibly understanding and accommodating with my special needs child—no write-ups for life’s interruptions. Trucks are governed at 65 mph, but you’re paid hourly to ensure safety and take your time. Communication is valued, and I’ve always felt appreciated by everyone at the company.
This is a great company to work for, offering good pay, routes, and facilities. Trucks, however, could use upgrades as they’re showing signs of wear, and dispatchers can be somewhat unreliable.
What’s the best part of working here? It’s a decent company overall—most trucking companies are similar, and your experience depends largely on the account and personal preferences. When my assigned account closed, I started my own business. The most stressful part? Slip-seating is frustrating, especially when sharing trucks with people who don’t respect them. The work environment and culture? It varies by account, with typical responsibilities including pick-ups and deliveries, either locally or over the road.
I wouldn’t recommend this company. They break promises and lie about their commitments. They claim to be dedicated but often leave drivers with undesired routes while favorites get better options. The entire process is chaotic and poorly managed.
The local runs are a positive aspect, allowing you to be home daily, and the pay is good. However, there’s a noticeable difference in pay between day and night shifts. Doing the same route daily can become monotonous, but overall, I’d recommend them.
What’s the best part of working here? This company doesn’t pay overtime, offers only a 25-cent raise twice a year, and starts drivers at $20 an hour—which is too low for a professional truck driver. The most stressful part? There’s no overtime pay, and no onsite HR or office support. The work environment and culture? It’s minimal—you show up, work, and hope nothing goes wrong. A typical day? You simply do your job with the equipment provided.
Drivers who make a fuss often get special treatment, but otherwise, it’s a decent place to work. If you show up, stay safe, and focus on your job, you can make it work.
There are no benefits, but the pay is decent. Slip-seating is common, so bring cleaning supplies if you plan to work here.
The people at Venture are friendly and approachable, but the pay and benefits are below industry standards. Before committing to Venture Express, I recommend comparing their offerings with other companies.
This is an acceptable place to work with better pay than most competitors. Benefits could be improved, but overall, I’d recommend this company to others.
The job setup is nearly perfect for driver success, but the lack of trailers is a significant issue. Finding an empty trailer can be frustrating, leading to cancelled loads or late appointments. Trucks are well-maintained, but trailer management needs attention—either more trailers or fewer routes to prevent wasting drivers’ time.
This company doesn’t prioritize its drivers. They neglect equipment maintenance and offer low pay despite demanding excessive effort. The company should be investigated. Orientation travel isn’t provided, and the hotels they arrange are in unsafe areas.
The work itself is enjoyable, and the boss is understanding and willing to help. The pay is respectable, and the hours are manageable—you’re done for the day once your shift ends.
I worked on one account that offered overtime but was abruptly reassigned to another account without notice. The new position lacked overtime and had a different pay structure. I discovered the pay discrepancy on my check and had to contact payroll for clarification. Pay varies by account for company drivers—it’s not consistent across the board.
The equipment is awful. They asked me to drive 640 miles in an 11-hour window using a 64 mph truck. In just 12 days, I went through six trucks. On my first day, they provided a rental truck instead of a company vehicle, and even then, the truck failed DOT inspection. Eventually, I decided to cut my losses. These types of companies waste weeks of your time and negatively impact your employment history. I refused to risk getting a ticket due to poorly maintained equipment.
