Looks like an impressive company. But I would be reluctant, to take a job where I’m physically unloading . This looks like a long haul Co. Seventy hours a week 14 hour days is enough plus being away from home . Unload it with lumpers and a forklift.Sounds like perfectly good drivers were disqualified in hiring process. Remember someone telling me , I could not do the job because of something I told them . That was over 20 years and over a million safe miles ago .
So I applied to this company and was denied because I took a year off work because my daughter had cancer. The company told me basically I still had to be working in order to get hired! This is the most horrible reason to not get hired. I have worked consistently my whole life. Because something unfortunate happens they use it against you. If this company is like this at the door then I know that this company is heartless. They say they care yeah right. This is sad.
I was going through to get qualified to drive and failed the strength test so I was denied. I dealt with Bethany and Amy which I can say were extremely nice people and pleasant to deal with. I made the mistake I believe of telling the strength test examiner I had broken my arm last year and a rod was placed in my arm due to a horse riding accident. I felt it went downhill after that. That being said I still break horses, go out every year using a chainsaw and cut wood. I could understand denying me an opportunity to drive if I was unloading trucks as well but it was a driving position. I am 5 foot 5 and 140 and go to gym 3x a week but yet didn't pass strength test. I chalk this experience up to this is not God's path for me. I would recommend this company to anyone starting out because like I said the people I dealt with seemed straightforward and genuinely nice people.
They do not repeat do not communicate or give any updates if a situation changed. They’re not accountable and customer service is very unprofessional. If a recruiter contacts you respectfully decline.
Wanted me to do a video couldn't figure it out, the recruiter was a total witch, very rude, made it a point to tell me she was a tv personality. When I had questions, got very rude with me. I just told her if her attitude is a look I to what the company is then keep it. So I took my talents elsewhere and I'm flourishing. Got my class A and about to have my own truck with a company who cares.
Horrible place. Tim lies and is putting the company at risk for lawsuit. He is lying to possible new employers after I quit
Been over the road 6 years was looking to go local Filled out an application with veriha a week ago and just finished orientation with them Tuesday the transition was a breeze very nice people seems like a family oriented atmosphere Amy is super nice i definitely see myself being here a while equipment very nice too thank you for this opportunity veriha and making this transition a breeze for me!!!!
while they were a learning experience I can say, as one of their recruiters say to me, Veriha is a starters or end of career company. They also have their way with being fair, not very fair. but base my thoughts on your own dealings with them.
I attended the CDL training class. The instructor’s was excellent and have a technic that help you learn the skills that are needed to complete the class successfully. I heard that from other people in the class, that what was taught was way easier than what they have learned prior to coming there. It’s cold and far from home, however it is well worth the travel. Thanks guys!!!
Hey how's it going I'm Cameron A. Dennis aka CAD now let's get into Veriha Trucking, I came into this company with 3-4 months of experience and within the small time being here I learned alot on how to be a safer driver but also how to be patient and chill ; also learned some skills that I didn't know previously and yes it's cold in Wisconsin lol but I'm from the southside of Chicago one of the coldest places literally and mentally, and if I can make it there Wisconsin is no problem plus I drove on the rocky mountains with my previous company so I'm ready for whatever comes next , thank you for this opportunity again.
Veriha is by far the best company I have ever worked for. I thoroughly enjoy my role within the company, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store here. They take career progression seriously and reward a solid work ethic. If you want to move up in the industry, these guys make it possible. They value their drivers, and do their absolute best to take care of you if any issues arise. My fleet leader Mark is a class act, an awesome guy. He keeps me rolling and I couldn’t be happier. If you haven’t given Veriha a chance, apply now! What are you waiting for?
Was a great place to work. Did tours for them. Miss that part. Freight wasn't my gig but they kept drivers working. All the staff was great. Special shout out to Ashly on the tour side. Was fun.
I left a solid job to finally get my driving career going, and I'm still digging myself out of a financial hole a year later. Worst training I've ever received. 4 trainers for 11 days of training when I should have gotten 20 days. This is my biggest regret.
Fired because I was struggling on blind side backing. With all the bad drivers currently on the road in this industry and that's what they have issues with? I was getting the hang of it too but it's really hard to perform with a person that wants me dead watching. I desired to get into this industry so that I could minimize contact with all these people, preferably at night.
In 2018, they had 350 drivers. As of today, there is 166 drivers left. They do not value their drivers, they run people thru their school like cattle thru a slaughter house, they charge a ridiculous amount ($12,500). As a former trainer, I can say that students did not learn much. Drivers are leaving because they are treated poorly, don't get the miles, and Veriha is a failing company. Update: I have heard the price of schooling has went up to $16k. Save yourself some dough and find a different school. Every time I apply to a new job, Veriha writes “unemployable”. It’s funny because at the time of my discharge, I had forgotten that I had went to the dentist a few months earlier. I have my dental records showing my innocence, so it doesn’t affect any future jobs! They refused split hair testing, which would be a violation of FMCSA rules if the FMCSA even recognized hair testing (which they do not). But because they don’t, Veriha was able to terminate me without following their own procedures written in their policy, take the truck they sold me, the $20k down payment, all other payments towards the final purchase, and my escrow without just cause. So beware of lease purchase through them. A quick google search will show that it’s an industry wide scam with many trucking companies, including Veriha. I contacted them offering my dental records once not long after. They were not interested in them or making anything right. Just reinforces the type of company they intend to be. FYI: One mention of Veriha to attorneys in Marinette and you will never hear back from them. Veriha has Marinette bought and paid for.
Got my Cdl through this company, not a bad place at all, very family oriented I actually enjoyed being here until I had and exchange with a dispatcher who basically called me a liar and left me stranded when my truck broke down on the Fourth of July. I followed proper procedures did everything that I needed to do to inform them of the situation with my truck and his response was I know it’s close to your home time and it’s funny that your truck broke down 10 miles from your house. Can you put put it back to Wisconsin? Long story short, I was left stranded at the truckstop. By the way the truck wasn’t fixed for close to a month. (Putput back with a truck that wouldn't start let alone move and had a major problem)No apology actually tried not to give me my guarantee pay. In my opinion trainers are not the problem?Mechanics are not the problem, Management was not the problem, they actually gave me a chance and started my career. The problem with this company is most definitely the dispatchers I’ve had more than one issue. This was just the worst. If you want miles you better befriend one if you want respect you better befriend one they make and break you I also just found out that they claim they fired me when in actuality, they left me stranded, and when I apply for another company, they send a cease letter You mean to tell me that you fire me so you say, and then send a cease letter, so no one else will hire me I really thought highly of this company but I see now that I’m going to have to take legal action. I can’t believe that you are actually wishing me good luck on my driving journeys that you are attempting to block
Poor training, one of my trainers he knows just complain he never shows nothing and after two weeks they call me said you are terminated they don’t care about employees
DO NOT consider working here and DO NOT sign a contract with them. How they portray their company and this position is very different from what you actually get. Their contract is extremely one-sided and the training you receive is not worth the $12,500 agreement.
I am currently a non CDL non employee of Veriha Trucking. I have applied and my goal is to start the apprenticeship program in September-October and hopefully get hired on. I am currently getting my 2 kids situated for the new school year and will officially be ready to start my journey as a truck driver (something I have always dreamt of doing as a career).
The pay is way better then it used to be! There is always work even when freight declines. Just need to a bit more flexible now then in the past. Senior drivers are treated just like new drivers. It's way better to be a new driver here then to have a few years in.
If you need your CDL and you are serious about getting it you can most definitely get it through them. Classes are not easy but very informative the results depend upon you you will be dropped if you don’t meet expectations so don’t come in thinking you know it all or not willing to learn
What is the best part of working at the company? The management and their in helping others rise both professionally and personally. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? It's trucking, there's always something. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Depending on your role and department, the environment can be very different for people. Overall it's stressful job that they try to make as much fun as it can be. They want to help people better themselves where they can.
They care about you and will treat you like a human, not just a truck number. They are very lenient and understand work-life balance. Would recommend
I really like being able to go home and spend time with my family. The pay is decent and having all the benefits that I need. Their drivers really do matter.
Driving requires a person to work long hours, spending days and weeks away from home with no immediate supervision or oversight. The driver is ultimately responsible for the productivity and revenue generated by the truck. But, in order to be productive and profitable, it's important to have a team of professionals that knows what they are doing and can deliver the resources a driver needs to be successful in a timely manner, every time. That's extremely important to me. And, that's why I chose Veriha. At Veriha, they do what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it. That's something that is readily apparent throughout the company. Everyone from recruiting and operations, to HR and maintenance, everyone does what they say they are going to do. It's a value that's engrained in the culture. I always feel like I have the support I need to be successful. It may not be exactly when I "want" it every time. But I get what I need every time. As a driver, that's extremely important to me. Many drivers are all about the money. They want the most amount of money per mile and do not concern themselves with safety or ways they can earn more without having to drive the extra miles to do it. At Veriha, will payout quarterly performance bonuses for safety, and revenue generated, in addition to miles driven. Work hard, deliver on time, and be safe while doing it, and you will be rewarded with more loads, more miles, more money, or all of three. The choice is yours; do what you say you are going to do when you say you're going to do it.
Dispatchers do whatever they can to make things easier for drivers. Other office staff help in anyway they can. Office staff are strong-willed and dedicated to find solutions.
very good place to start ure trucking career. Veriha is family oriented they will with no doubt get u home on time. safety is key you truly are the captain of ure truck!!!!!
Not good never would of went here. Pay never improved give you more CPM and less miles so in the end same pay. Good at telling you what you want to hear.
Work life balance is always a struggle. You fight to make your days less than 14 hours they fight to make your days close to 14 hours. During the holiday season you will never have a day shorter than 12 hours. Holidays aren't a thing as a driver unless you are willing to sacrifice your pay. After one year of service you can achieve 5 days of time off. These days have a standard rate of $150 and don't count as a day worked for the company so they refuse your gaurantee pay for using them.
Overall everything they offer is fair. You can go in and take the earn while you learn program to get your cdl, or come in from a different company and get on the road after a short evaluation
What is the best part of working at the company? Getting my CDL leaving for a real paying job What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Pay pushing for a year and a 1/2 to meet THERE obligations " Ridiculous" One hundred Percent the longest in the industry Not worth it They will hold you down as long as they can as pay They hope you You don't finish your obligations so they can collect more up to $16000 from you Again the worst in the industry the highest the most you'll ever have to pay back What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Drive, Drive, drive, drive You will pay back your schooling 10 times over in the year and a 1/2 What is a typical day like for you at the company? "Micromanage" to the EXTREME 100% 12 to 14 hours a day on a good day on most days 14 to 18 hours a day is the norm
