Kempf family. They've been runnin' the show for three generations. You don't see that kind of dedication every day.

Started with just a few rigs and a kitchen office, and now they've got two on-site offices and 43 dock doors.

While driving on hwy in Michigan while in construction and backed up traffic one of their semi drivers cut last minute without warning an almost caused a major accident. When I called to make complaint no one responded. Sad their drivers just drive any old way because they have semi trucks. People's lives are at stake out here. Better training is needed.

Their truck drivers could use a course in how to be a courteous driver, one on the 94 in MI was being overtaken, and wouldn't slow down to let the faster truck pass, held up traffic for miles

don't believe the good reviews. very long loading. I try my best to choose good words to write a review. logbook will be updated soon. I'm standing here like a fool. they don't even give you a door, only locals go. not even worth one star. I will now have to drive at night for three days to get to the delivery on time. They are half asleep on the phone.

My friend and I were waiting to cross the road on HWY16/51 in Portage Wisconsin today at 11:00 a.m. Two small vehicles passed us as we stood in the crosswalk with our bicycles, but one of your drivers stopped (he knew the law) and waited for us to cross the street in busy downtown Portage. I gave him a wave and a thumbs up. Thank you to that driver for keeping us safe!

Nice people (except for the yard jockey) Got in a door and started loading immediately. The yard jockey, having never seen me in his entire life, chose as his initial engagement with me, condescension. Not the best approach for longevity.

Seriously awesome place to load out of, they even helped me out by washing out my trailer! Office staff friendly and professional! They double checked everything and had me in a door within ten minutes of arrival! Would definitely load out of here again!

By far, my best experience. I don’t think any shipper or receiver will ever beat this one. Staff are very polite and professional. Their work ethic is one I’ve never seen before. I was checked in, provided PPW/seal, and docked within 5 minutes of my arrival; and to my surprise I was loaded in less than 15 minutes after docking (41,000, full reefer). They are extremely organized and left me speechless. If their management could retrain the entire logistical industry, that would be great! Keep up the great work guys!

I had a brokered load thru Grand Island Express. I was told that I had a 7 AM appointment Thursday 8/26/21 & I arrived 6:55 AM to find out that it's a first come first serve. Plus, the person's to check me in didn't get there until 7:30/7:40 AM. Otherwise, they got me loaded within 10 minutes.

I drive for Veterans, I love working there. I'm not just a number, I'm a name. It's a family owned and run company which I've really enjoyed over working for big commercial carriers. We have the cleanest building I've ever been in compared to all other warehouses/do KS. Bathrooms are always clean, docks and warehouse is always clean and organized. Our Truck and trailer yard is always clean and organized. No old junk stored on property like a junk yard that is seen at most places. I get along great with all the drivers and the staff. Paid holidays, paid vacations, free medical, nice new trucks and trailers. Mechanics onsite. Nice smooth parking lot, no pot holes here. Exterior and internal bathrooms. Onsite overnight parking available.

The hours are unpredictable and hectic, but the work itself is fairly straightforward. The high turnover is largely due to the demanding schedule and pay structure. If you're just starting out or looking for a fresh start, this could be a decent option, but I wouldn’t rely on it as a primary source of income.

Driving for veterans was a positive experience, but it's not a long-term career choice. The company could do a better job supporting and informing employees. Much of the job requires learning as you go.

There was plenty of work to keep drivers busy. The company was understanding when it came to time off and showed care for its employees.

The most challenging aspect of the job was dealing with stressful dispatchers. The most rewarding part was assisting customers. Management was disappointing—time-off requests were often denied due to seniority, and vehicle issues were frequent. The job taught me how to interact with individuals with disabilities. A typical day involved checking the vehicle before departure, picking up and dropping off passengers for appointments, handling traffic, and navigating inconsistent dispatch decisions. Completing incident and accident reports and submitting them to management was also part of the routine.

This role required punctuality, strong customer service skills, solid driving abilities, and an excellent sense of direction. Customers disliked being late, so timing was crucial.
