I was thrilled to learn that they're investing in eco-friendly vehicle 👍
Kudos to Virginia for being a leader in the industry, and setting a high standard
So grateful to have them as a partner
Definitely a company to watch
This is the parent company of GTS. Safety brags that they can see everything within the private cab area by looking at the reflection in the windshield via the dashcam. That's extremely invasive! Dispatchers kept giving me loads with delivery times that were impossible to do legally. Logistics were terrible here too.
I can't believe they sold out Gts that way and not even tell the drivers about it until it it's too late and then they have to try to find a way home
GREAT EXPERIENCE! I had the pleasure of working with Alan De La Torre, he was a great communicator and very easy to work with. If I needed anything he was only an email/phone call away. I pray we can continue to work together.
Had one of their drivers got me all interested in getting a job with them talk to me for 30 minutes I call them and they tell me they don't hire new trainees out of Florida when he perfectly clearly told me that they fly you up to Rhode Island and train you so either the recruiter doesn't want to work or they change policy the recruiter barely spoke English didn't have any good explanation as to why I got pitched for 30 minutes also went off topic didn't even answer a question I asked she's not listening to people whenever they're calling and speaking with her and it's like talking to a wall this company makes no sense
Great company to work with. Organize and professional. Easy and fast in and out times with and without appointments. Looking forward to work with Alan again. 5 stars all the way!
T.J. (My transport driver) is an excellent guy. Always gave updates and was so kind/positive about the whole experience. He drove my car from San Diego to Fort Myers so efficiently. He arrived a couple days early. I would highly recommend him and his company for anyone looking to ship their car. 10/10!!!
Reckless drivers! Full trailer of cars tailgating and flashing high beams at me while already over 10 MPH over the speed limit (65 MPH speed limit on i70 Maryland) in the rain at night. Unacceptable. Truck 83469T with MD plates..
Matt is a rock star!!! He picked up a car from me and made it to the customer on the other side of the country in time! Oregon to Connecticut. Customer was happy, I am happy, if I could use him for every car I ship I would. Do yourself a favor and ask for Matt.
A great place to work.
Great people that I've spoken to so far. Look forward to starting 2023 with Leo and the Virginia family. If you have any questions call Jessica in recruiting.
MY HOME BEST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED FOR
I loved working for Virginia transportation corporation absolutely the best people to work with.
I love that this company promotes their employees and shares their uprising story
Great company to work with! Communication is always great. Quick and helpful responses
Excellent equipment, solid benefits, and management that accommodates time-off requests. A great place to advance your driving career.
With three years of car hauling experience, I’ve earned significantly more here than at my previous job. Weekly earnings range from $2,000 in the Midwest Region to $3,000 on the Road Board, where most bonuses go. Road Board drivers stay out for three weeks, while Midwest drivers work six days with one day off. Dispatch is flexible and understanding of personal matters. Upper management ensures steady work hauling vehicles to dealerships. Pay starts at 25% and increases by 0.5% annually.
From the owner to the recruiter, everyone is incredibly helpful and courteous. My dispatcher worked with me to maximize earnings and get me home when needed. Fantastic pay and brand-new equipment!
High earnings, top-tier benefits including a matching 401k. In the auto hauling industry, Virginia is one of the best companies.
Great workplace with well-maintained equipment and competitive pay. After an injury at home, the company covered my medical expenses and even provided birthday and Christmas bonuses while I was on disability. Excellent management!
Overall, I’m very satisfied with VTC. The pay and benefits are great, and the management fosters a strong company culture. However, home time in the Southeast is limited.
Supportive coworkers—if you need help, just ask. A team-oriented environment where safety and job security are priorities
The job was fine until management started making constant changes without listening to drivers. If they continue treating drivers poorly, they’ll eventually lose them all. The only positive aspect is the pay.
You can earn $100K as a driver, but it comes at the cost of your personal life. The mandatory schedule is six days on, one day off. The company is growing too fast for its own good.
Working at VTC was a great experience—predictable with pros and cons. You need to put in miles to earn well. Industry-leading equipment and top-tier maintenance. The biggest challenge is dispatch—your dispatcher can make or break your experience. If you can navigate that, it’s a great place to work.
Generally a good workplace with a laid-back atmosphere. Do your job and go home. The downside is that unless you’re at the main terminal in Rhode Island, other locations lack essential equipment like straps, making it feel isolating.
Some mid-Atlantic managers are completely unqualified—hiring people with no trucking experience or sense of direction.
Office staff give positive reviews, but drivers are treated poorly. Strict uniform policies, mandatory six-day workweeks, no family time, and excessive unpaid deadhead miles. Parking isn’t reimbursed, and there are too many unnecessary rules. Not worth the hassle.
Solid company with great equipment, but dispatchers have their own agendas. Steady work typical of car hauling. Deadhead pay applies over 350 miles, but they often cut it short.
Good company with fair compensation. Benefits are decent—individual health insurance is affordable, but coverage for spouses and families is pricey.
A fun workplace with a positive attitude. Enjoyed my time here and felt good about the business. Routine work, but I’d return.
Brand-new equipment, a team-oriented atmosphere, and management that genuinely values drivers. No unreasonable demands. One of the best companies for company drivers!
No major complaints. Despite 16 years of CDL experience, I had no car hauling background, but they trained me for six weeks and provided a brand-new $300K truck. Full benefits from day one, including vacation, personal days, holidays, and sick pay. Corporate management is excellent. Most complaints stem from a specific dispatcher, which could cost the company good drivers. Otherwise, the skills, equipment, and job opportunities are there—it’s up to you to make money. I highly rate VTC A+++++.
A typical day involves transporting vehicles to dealerships. Great work environment, excellent management, and strong company culture. No major downsides.
Daily tasks include loading and unloading cars, hauling them to the rail hub in Talladega. If management dislikes you, you’ll be last in everything. Poor communication, inconsistent scheduling, and a competitive workplace. The job itself isn’t difficult, and the best part is simply working.
Enjoyed loading and transporting new vehicles to dealerships. Learned different techniques for loading various vehicle sizes onto a four-car trailer.
We work at our own pace, but the days are long—six days a week. The trucks are top-notch, and the pay is great. The only issue is that there are too many drivers.
