I've been working with Watsontown since July of 2023. I love this company. A friend referred me and I'm so glad he did. They pay hourly and I get home every weekend. The shop mechanics are top notch. If you're looking for a great company to work with, this is it. Give them a call. You won't regret it.

Careless driver in Tampa. Seems to be empty since pony axle is lifted but driving over the speed limit on Hillsborougj rs ld in tampa truck number 1218. Shifting lanes back n forth last minjte withcnot signal. Aggressive driver. Wondering whats yout accident and complaint rates.... SMH. I KNOW WHY you dont place one of those "hows my driving" or gps device on your trucks. These knockle heads think they own the road!

Just had one of your drivers verbally attack me. Calling me a bunch of names and calling me racist? I did not in any way engage with them nor have a conversation I felt unsafe walking back to my own truck, so I walked away then towards my truck Today 10-26-23 A-Plus Dublin Travel Plaza Dublin, VA Happened around 515-530

Company gave me an opportunity at a down point in my life. I worked, received great pay and equipment was always top-notch for myself. Everyone has an opinion, but try going at things with the knowledge of, but no expectation, that worked out great in my opinion. You hear things about this and that, it might not be the same for you. I had an accident a couple years back (non work related) and was in the hospital for 1.5 months, I had a few people that I call friends and family not show up but the owner Steve and the current Safety Director Brandon came and visited. It brought tears to my eyes ( waking up and seeing them two standing there), mainly because its a big and growing company and even with that, I got to see the people who keep it running and not just the logo. Super dope place to work, there is more to this story but I'll spare you! I'll always remember this experience! P.S. I applied to this place like 4x before they ever interviewed me.

If I could I would rate this company less but 1 star is the minimum. I had an encounter with a driver who lacked professionalism, courtesy and safety on the road. So I called to report the issue I had with them. When the phone was answered the first gentleman introduced himself by name but nothing more and I asked who he recommended I spoke to about my issue. He directed me to safety. I then was connected to someone else who answered his like with "HELLO" and nothing more. I was thrown off as I thought I was calling a professional company not some backwoods driver guy. I then even explained after getting the guys name, "Dave" about his lack of professionalism and the issue with the driver. I didn't feel Dave cares about my comments so I called back and spoke to someone else who also said outright they didn't care. This tells me this is not a professional company, and I have decided I will never work with them in the future.

My feonce works here. The bosses seem to really care about their employees and their employees lives. When we had covid his one boss texted me and said if we need anything just let him know. Not alot of places do that. They even have a oven in their break room. Something I've never seen at any job before. Very flexible with making up hours and with overtime which helps a lot. Every now and then they will have food for the employees like actual hot food not just sandwiches and chips and they have free hydrating popsicles their employees can get at any time. All around nice place so far as I've seen when I would visit to have lunch with my feonce and based on what he tells me

Absolutely best company I have ever work for. They treat employees like family, you are not a number or lowlife servant you are a human being. I could go on for hours about how good they are, I will try to sum it up quickly They care about their employees and dont give empty promises when i started working for them the company picnic was 4 or 5 weeks from when I started not only was invited to go but my family members also were included at no cost to me. As I was walking thru our pavilion at the picnic and the CEO and owner grabbed my arm and said " Hi, Tom how are things going? You having any issues? I just wanted to welcome you to WTC and let you know I have an open door policy, if you have an issue and it cant be solved by people in chain above you then come see me. WE will resolve it immediately " I have never met owner of any company I have worked for let along have one seek me out knowing my name to say those words to me. Only way I am leaving WTC is feet first with a toe tag and I will probably be kicking and screaming to let me get back to work. If you are looking for a job I highly recommend submitting application. Absolutely best job I have ever had.

Good place to work And amazing staff members!!! Newer trucks, clean, day cab, sleepers too. The maintenance crew here are the best around too! I've been in some sticky situations while driving out west. Like my a/c went out on me and they paid to have the whole thing replaced. All the while I was cozy in a hotel in Salt Lake city for over a week. Getting paid good money each day for layover pay!! This is by far the very best company that I have ever driven for! The freight is almost always under 20k in weight and no touch too! I didn't like the idea of automatic at first. Hated it to be honest....now tho lol. It is just another day on the road now. So if you truly want the best driving experience possible? Get yourself over to Milton PA and change your life for the better!!!

I been here a year. I have not had a issue yet. Yes there's cameras but eventually every trucking company will have them. The hourly pay is the top benefit. Same pay rate for everything, breakdowns, loading/unloading. I don't get paid a lower hourly rate when in the shop, just may not get 14 hours paid for. I believe it's around 8 or 10 hours. Yes some trucks may be older but your hourly pay, not chasing miles, and in my experience it gets fixed or I don't drive whether its the truck or trailer doesnt matter. It's my CDL not theirs and any issues I've had, have got taken care of.

What is the best part of working at the company? Part time work and paid by the hour What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Your direct manager isn't actually the one who gives you your assignments. If you have a problem you call them then they tell you to call someone else. Not exactly sure what the point of their passion really is. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Confusion with a lot of running around. Watsontown Trucking could be the best trucking company out there if they paid more and treated their drivers with respect. Watsontown would rather micromanage you to death then facing cameras, buzzers going off in the trucks, and you always have someone in management ready to stick a deep knife in your back! It's one of those jobs where any day you could just quit or be fired.

I've been a driver for Watsontown trucking company for 5 years, my only regret that I didn't find them sooner. It's real simple over here, Do what is asked of you, do what you say you're going to do, and don't hit s***. That said.. you will be fairly compensated paid for every hour you work, overtime with no questions asked. This is the family run company and you will be treated as such.
