If I could give them negative stars I would!! While traveling on a very busy I-35N just north or Ardmore Oklahoma around 1pm today I witnessed a Watt & Stewart driver swerve at a passing vehicle twice trying to run them off the road. These actions brought the highway to a stand still at which point the driver proceeded to stop his truck and yell out his window at the vehicle and then drive his semi off the roadway down into the ditch and around all stopped traffic to avoid being boxed in and confronted for his actions. As a 25 year veteran of the road on vacation with my family these actions were appalling and totally unacceptable! This driver risked the safety of not only himself and the vehicle he swerved at but also every other vehicle on the road around him. Weather the 4 wheeler made a mistake or did something to upset the truck driver that did not give him the right to use a 80,000 pound rig as a weapon on the road!! You sir are a disgrace to the driving profession and I hope the state trooper that pulled you over a few miles down the road threw the book at you for your actions!! If this is the type of drivers that Watt & Stewart trucking employ then I would avoid using them at all cost!

I was driving 75 north from Atlanta to dalton Ga. At around the calhoun exit. There were 2 trucks carrying huge tires. One of the trucks began swerving on purpose between two lanes and when I tried to go past him to get away he almost swerved right in to me. I had to swerve in the left lane to avoid him hitting me. I also had my 10 or old daughter in the backseat. He flipped me off. I couldn't see his truck number but the one behind him was c312.

Ok place to get get your sand hauling experience...good trucks with low miles because there's plenty of standby time you get your "mechanic skills" up by changing your own oil... flexible schedule... everyone is awesome... MELODY is the best...make sure you keep a close eye on what your pay should be ...there is always some kind of rebuddle about why your statement is what it is...I'm not talking a few dollars either.... HUNDREDS... .......***IF YOU WANT TO GET THE WORD AROUND...JUST TELL FRANKIE*** NO JOKE

Absolutely love my job. I've been working in the oil fields for about 10 years and I can say with 100% certainty that this is the first time I've worked for a company that values their employees. My boss Troy Jones is always there to help and I can count on the guys I work with for help. David McWhirter is a stand up guy that I can come to for help. Super great trainer. My dispatch team is always on point and ready to get me working. Super happy to be part of the team. It's also really nice to drive a truck that is dependable!

Best dang trucking company in West Texas, if not all of Texas. Jay and his crew bend over backwards to ensure they get their trucks to the right place at the right time. Their company motto emphasizes efficiency.

Don't work here until they change management. Manager there now will lie to your face. They will tell you they will guarantee you hours but that's a lie.I was a truck driver, hourly pay, guaranteed 40 hours, (verbally), but not true. You sit alone with no pay. Do not trust Brad.

I get to see places most truck drivers never go. I can fuel wherever I want. I route myself for the most part. Sometimes we have routed permits. Rarely do i have an appointment time. Work at your own pace. Best money I ever made. Big miles

Watt and Stewart was honestly pretty good, as far as most trucking companies go. There's a reason I was there for three years. It got me introduced into how Oversize (overwidth specifically) works, though it was a little bit like being thrown into the fire. So definitely have nerves of steel. The pay at the time wasn't comparable to other companies hauling oversize, but they've since given a raise to people. The culture has definitely changed since I started working there. They've become a bit more pushy about a mileage quota, and it's forced dispatch now. Though it's nice because you pretty much haul the same stuff all of the time, and run the same routes. They don't dictate where you can and can't fuel at, or even what routes to take if you're not hauling Oversize as your backhaul. It was nice because once you left the yard, they kind of just left you alone. Also, we never /ever/ hauled coils. Which was awesome. The reason I quit was really just from being burnt out. Not because the company was terrible or because I really hated it there. Just typical burnout. As far as home time goes, if you live along the normal freight lanes it's much easier to get home time. Even better if you live near the terminal in Columbia like I do. I'd always go home for 2 to 4 days every time I was back in town. And you typically only spend two to three weeks out at a time maximum. The training was a bit lacking. I think it was just the person that was assigned to me though. Once I got the nerves out after a few months, it really was smooth sailing after that. And any time I needed help or had a question, it wasn't hard to call the office or another driver to get an answer. The health insurance was really good my first year there, but we switched after that and it was not good. I'm not sure what it's like now though. And when I had to take time off (two months) for medical reasons, there wasn't a lot of fight or them pushing really hard to get me back to working when I wasn't ready. It did feel that they at least cared about my health most of the time. Particularly compared to other companies that are rushing you all of the time. They even would pressure us not to drive nights, just because they wanted to keep us on a daytime shift and for safety reasons. If you /did/ have to drive at night though, it wasn't a big deal unless you drove after midnight all of the time. Watt and Stewart had gotten new Peterbilts shortly after I started, which were automatics, but I was told recently they bought about a dozen or so 13-speed Freightliners. I think I also heard something about them bringing back the lease purchase program. Don't hold me to that though. Overall, I can't say it was the worst. Like any trucking company, there's things about it you hate. /Really/ hate. There's other things though that you'll love about it. It's a love hate relationship. So at the end of the day my opinion is pretty neutral. If it means anything though, I've certainly considered going back to working there.
