Let me just start by saying they have a wonderful staff and terminal manager. They are kind, knowledgeable, professional. The terminal is excellent as well. Driver facilities are great as well. Give a recruiter a call and see if Werner is for you. Always remember safety first always. Good luck on your adventures!
Very nice terminal did my 34 here and i was good and they have a museum with all the truck that started the company very nice
This company uses new drivers and don't keep what they promised with the pay scale, the driving school is longer then posted and they have a high turn over rate, and some driver haven't been paid in a whole month on weekly accounts.
Being a company driver is good way to go gain the experience and time operating your truck
A solid company with reliable benefits, but load assignments and pay can be inconsistent. Always verify that your paystub matches your assigned loads. If you encounter an issue that can't be resolved elsewhere, the corporate office is generally willing to step in and help.
This is a great company to start with. I stayed for a little over a year before leaving for better pay. Bad dispatchers exist everywhere, but that’s just part of the industry. After moving to a smaller company, I found myself missing some of Werner’s conveniences—terminals with showers and workout equipment, as well as well-maintained equipment.
No clear chain of command—figuring out who’s responsible when something goes wrong is a challenge. I once spent an entire day driving around Dallas and Fort Worth searching for an empty trailer. Despite GPS tracking, I was sent to four different locations where the trailers were supposed to be, but they weren’t there. If you break down on the road, expect long wait times—often being fourth or fifth in line for assistance. Equipment issues are common.
