Company that's got its priorities straight, and that's why I keep comin' back to 'em
I was able to learn and develop new skills, isn't great? They encouraged me to take on new challenges and responsibilities
I have one of the most dynamic and motivated teams
Never have to hassle them for order updates—one and done
I've been waiting to share my experience with Wider Group. I've been here since December 2023 and overall it's all good. Pay weekly. I average 2500miles-3500miles a week...I get home time when the shippers load on time. Dispatch communicates pretty well. HR is awesome! Nothing is super perfect tho....I was paid late twice and even tho I delivered freight I lost paperwork and I will not be paid for that load. I'm a regional driver, I don't go more then 500 miles away from Chicago. The truck I have is pretty cool no big issues at all and I've driven almost 100K miles already. If you're looking to make a lil money and keep rolling give Wider Group a chance you won't be disappointed. One thing tho comes to mind...I've been driving since 2008...never no accidents on my record and I'm 94% on time...I make 65 cent a mile but I'm well worth 70-80 cents a mile. Gonna ask for a raise soon 👍🏾
This company is clearly not it they are having obvious issues with there company preach all this pay benefits etc when it comes down to it they straight up lie ur typical Eastern European company do no recommend at all not professional company nor do they hold there word at all do not recommend driving or doing any business with these scammers
I really look forward to seeing these guy's.They are very Pleasant and hard-working! Prompt and always smiling. See you guys next week. Keep up the awesome work.
Great company to work for thanks for the opportunity widergroup
I’m going to give 3 stars because maybe it was just my luck HOWEVER, the safety time Iliyana and I think his name was Tim, as well as the dispatcher Anthony were great! Marlin the maintenance manager was cool as well. The owner, well that’s where my issue was. You are supposed to get 1 week free on a truck payment. He knocked off half the payment for one week. I never really got a fair shake and I gave them 5 weeks worth of chances and did everything I was told. The trucks all had minor issues but due to shops being full etc. they swapped me out. 5 weeks there and I was in 4 different trucks from international to freightliner to finally a good truck a Volvo that had no issues except ELD. So then they made me then switch to ANOTHER one. I usually stay on the road a while so moving in and out was a hassle. THEN. Running a whole week I should not have had a $66 check. Not one week did I make remotely close to what they said I should so I had to part ways. I would have stayed if I got paid. Conversation and honesty is what I’m about from the military til now. Your choice if you want to go with them but PRETRIP your truck and make sure you are paid what you are told.
Great company, I recommend them to anybody that wants a great company or lease purchase opportunity. 4yrs down for me here at Wider Group Inc and they changed my life PeriodT! $$$$
Very professional and respectful. They handled all unforeseen issues that popped up and made sure to stay in touch to answer any questions or be available if needed. Will be using these guys in the future
I LOVE the entire Wider Group team! They are super professional and responsive. They put so much work into taking care of their drivers. Keep up the awesome work!
The team at wider group are really good people to work with and Dispatchers and managers are Professionals they create a pretty much Stress free environment. I love my job!
So far so good, wife and are very happy here....been here 2weeks and everything that was told to has been true and correct,we are looking fwd to being here till we hang it up...Ana is great with disputing us and keeping us moving, The Greer team 🙂
Good company to work for! You run how you want too, no forced dispatch! If you need help with anything just call! They would work anything out with you at their best! I been an owner op with them for a lil over 15 months. So far I can’t complain
DO NOT CARRY FOR THIS COMPANY. Dispatchers are inexperienced and liars. Management is incompetent and uninterested in the well being of the drivers. My truck and driver sat for days without a load several times. No money made with the company after being OTR for 6 weeks. They are looking to take money out of the carriers pocket at every turn. This company is a scam. Bottom of the barrel.
One of the better companies out there. They got their own issues getting to know how you want to run but nothing bad to say. They keep to their word and pay what they promise. I saw alot of reviews that bashed this company. If you like running this is the place
If you are a driver, stay away from this one.they are pimps.they will keep you out for weeks at a time and take all of your money. Just a warning try them out and see for yourself. This was the truck I had,it's no good,APU is Corroded I had it looked at Ryder and they couldn't even fix it.To many things to list that was just wrong with this company.
I worked here for about three weeks they randomly called me in the office after home time and fired me. They said the reason was neither one of us was making money from the lease. That’s fine but they stranded me in Chicago and kept trying to make me get out of the truck with all of my stuff in it. After all of that I apply at other places and they start telling people they fired me like I’ve done something wrong. This has been a major setback for me all because I came to work here. So if you are thinking about doing that don’t. Literally ruined my trucking career so far.
I worked for wider for 7 months and for the most part they are ok, scale of 1-10 I'd give them a 6. But the last month that rating dropped to a 4 due to changes in their mgt ranks and especially very poor communicating. They put off work on the truck 3 times to cover loads until the tires almost came off the wheels. They use what is called driveaxle where you take pics of BOL and send them in but it works about 50,% of the time and then payroll says " missing paperwork" so you don't get paid for all the loads in a pay week. They do have some dedicated accounts but mostly it's broker freight. Trucks are ok, they all are penske lease trucks , they don't have a shop. I was selected to run walmart loads and be at a class on a Saturday, I was notified on Tuesday. I get to walmart and 10 minutes before class I had to have padlocks fir their trailers and the person in charge never told me about this and had to go buy padlocks which I wasn't pleased about in which they had 4 days to tell me before I showed up. It's not a great company but it's not a poor one either.
This company is worst. They lie too much. In beging they told us 5000 miles. When we start working there they just keep lie us.
Good company to work for u can make good money with them I did thier lease and made good money whenever I had a issue they work to solve it I left because of personal reasons definitely recommend this company
Wider group is awesome there all wonderful they treat you like family everyone there they are for the drivers i would recommend them to anyone we have a big family thanks to wider for showing us they care so come over to wider and get treated like family and not a number there wonderful and they love our dog lol there a wonderful family to work for THEY CARE FOR THE DRIVERS
Major issues with management—trucks are bought from auctions with undisclosed problems and require constant repairs, paid for by the driver. Vehicles receive inspections without thorough checks, including brakes. Drivers are subject to double brokering, where the company sets a lower rate after securing a higher price from the broker, keeping a portion and deducting an additional 20%.
Best part of working here? Supportive coworkers who make you feel welcome and try to resolve any issues. Most stressful aspect? Meeting deadlines on long-haul routes.
Serious communication problems. Management is unresponsive, and driver managers fail to address concerns. Navigating issues alone has become necessary, as my assigned manager is not doing their job.
Good pay and well-maintained equipment. Dispatch is helpful, and the company covers expenses for flights and hotels. Pet-friendly policies make things easier. No complaints.
A solid option for both lease and company drivers. Consistent miles for company drivers and fair earnings for lease operators. Reliable year-round freight, good home time, and no forced dispatch.
With 25+ years in the industry, I’ve never encountered a more dishonest and unprofessional organization. Nothing but deception—stay away.
Great atmosphere with supportive people. Not your typical trucking company—they genuinely listen and assist. I’ve found the company where I’ll retire.
Joining as an owner-operator was a great decision. Adding my third truck soon, and I get home weekly. My wife is happy, so I’m here to stay.
This company has kept me busy even through challenging times. Every week is pre-booked, ensuring steady paychecks and stable routes. Absolutely love it.
Fantastic workplace—from the people to the culture. Drivers are treated like family. If you're debating working here, Wider Group is the real deal.
Joined three months ago, and it’s been the best decision of my career. Management goes above and beyond to assist drivers with financial needs or home time. The operations team is professional and understanding. Dispatch effectively routes drivers home upon request while tracking earnings to avoid settlement gaps. Huge shoutout to my dispatcher, Don!
Great experience at Wider Group—everyone is supportive. You get to drive the truck you aim to own. Not ideal for team driving but excellent solo runs. If you're willing to put in the effort, you can earn well.
Poor equipment quality—vehicles are dirty, and the company lacks a maintenance shop. Drivers are charged a $143 trailer fee despite not using company trailers. Rate sheets are withheld, and weekly settlements are manipulated. Dispatchers are overseas, making communication difficult. Total scam.
Inexperienced in trucking logistics—dispatch rushes load pickups without checking available DOT driving hours. Foreign-based dispatch staff lack knowledge of U.S. geography.
