Thank you for the wake up call your idiot dont know how to drive a damn truck steering wheel holder female driver placed to my company then proceed to pull out before i even back up some and almost taking off my mirror!
Sure wish these guys would either stop limiting the speed of their trucks or keep to the interstate going so far under the speed limit
Witte Bros Trucking is a great company to work for. No shortage of work to be done. Dispatch will take calls 24/7. I've worked for them and would work for them again if given the chance.
Awesome people very supportive and knowledgeable. Would love to work here again.
I drove for the family at Witte for 7 years. The only reason I stopped was because of medical issues. I started with the school. No company is going to be perfect, but the family at Witte is damn close.
This is awesome, friendly, and very good service. I got unloaded before my appointment time. Thank you for a great experience.
Delivering to the cold storage and arrived 1.5 hours late due to personal issues and my carrier rescheduled for the next morning. I really appreciate and thank the cold storage manager/supervisor for allowing me to get unloaded today instead of the next morning. More so, it enabled me to get this load in next week's payroll. I'm beyond thankful.
They arranged a job offer for me, told me that the trainer could pick me up in my town, and then I drove more than 100+ miles ONE WAY for unpaid orientation - to be told afterwards that he never said the trainer would pick me up. He then told me "your ride is not the trainer's responsibility" when I mentioned asking my trainer if I could carpool with him (since he lives in my town). I'm not seeing what's wrong with asking someone to carpool. Apparently this company thinks that you're supposed to want to drive 200+ miles - every week on your 1-2 days off because they will charge you per mile if you want to take a company truck home so that transportation is easier. They called me the morning after orientation to let me know I'm "not a good fit" for the company because I have problems I brought up. This is AFTER I told them I would rather stay out for 3 weeks and go home for 1 week so as to put less driving on my personal car. They don't want you driving for a company (like grubhub, pizza hut, etc) on your off time because it could affect your 34 hrs, but apparently having drivers drive 2+ hrs into/from work every week doesn't affect it.
0 stars. Helped get me off the streets, then I get the covid vaccine, and couldn't drive for 2 days because my body couldn't move very well, from the vaccine, and they said if I couldn't work, I couldn't stay in the truck. Locked me out, then got mad and called me when they realized I had a hidden second key, and told me I wasn't supposed to be in truck. Says they will treat you like family, but if you have an issue, you are no longer an asset, and only a liability, and are no longer their family. I tried to be responsible, because we go to multiple warehouses, and get the vaccine, but no, if I can't make them money, I'm homeless, and nobody to be cared about. Then, I found other work, and out my 2 weeks in, and they decide to let me go a week early. Said I was the problem. Sorry I'm not an autonomic robot, I guess. But I emailed them and informed them to send me info on my school debt amount, so I could pay it in payments. I didn't hear from them until the end of the year. Where they called me and asked me where to send my w2s. A month goes by and I have a debt collector calling me, because they sent my debt to a collection agency. Claimed they didn't have a way to get a hold of me. So, if you want a nice honeymoon phase, then see their real colors, experience the betrayal, then the straight evil and sick methods of trying to ruin your personal credit score as a way to get even, then join Witte Bros.
Great company for a new driver. Great equipment, awesome people who seem to care is the only reason I’m not giving them 1 or zero stars. Not sure what happened, but have not gotten a load in over a month that does not have serious issues. Also all of sudden they want you to deliver on your weekends off. No extra pay of course. All that would be forgivable but almost every issue has been avoidable if they were properly communicating with drivers shippers and customers. Just had a load that they just dispatched me on that was IMPOSSIBLE to pick up as I was not only out of hours, but the facility would be closed by the time I arrived. Even worse, even if I had had hours if I had unloaded at my appt time I wouldn’t have made it. And this is just an easy little pick up where they have preloaded trailers (supposedly). My dispatcher even called me and told me they would have a pre loaded trailer but no luck. If they can’t something this easy done, how are they going to get me planned on a multi stop or p/u that has several shippers and or receivers over many days and possibly different states? From what I’ve seen lately the whole company is having a meltdown!
Best place to work at hands down! Greatest group of people ever! They know you by name and are fexible in working with you and the schedule you want as well as home time. Keep you busy. Mostly drop and hook. Very accommodating! Highly recommended company! Truly family atmosphere!
I haven’t been here for too long, but so far everyone that I’ve come across has gone out of their way to try and help, and make me as successful as possible, from the safety team, to the dispatch, and to the incredible training staff. I have to thank God that he lead me to this company because it truly has been a blessing. But, If you’re wondering where you should start your driving career… this is who I’d choose.
Love that I finally found my home and family! Witte has been there for me since day 1, proud to be a driver here!
Nice and quiet place for overnight parking, People are very nice, helpful and respectful.unloaded full trailer in about 30 min .
Laid-back environment, give you plenty of time for deliveries. Newer model truck, well maintained. Owner is always in the office, so matter what issue you may have it can be taken care of. Plenty of money to be made there, your pay is based off how you wanna run.
So far, things have been good. I’ll provide an update if needed, but I haven’t had complaints. They keep you moving, and home time is solid. If you love being on the road, this is the company for you. They offer more perks than many other companies.
What is the best part of working at the company? You’re treated like family—everyone is very friendly. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Nothing particularly stressful about working here.
They ask for your preferences but often do the exact opposite. Management is inconsistent, with frequent turnover. The company struggles to retain employees. Departments operate independently, leading to a lack of coordination. Being family-run brings both positives and negatives.
Five weeks of training with an excellent instructor. The trainer was knowledgeable and supportive. Are trucks unloaded as non-touch freight? What are the training hours and location?
Witte Bros is an excellent company for entering the trucking industry. They have the best CDL school in the nation, with instructors who are highly skilled and helpful. They genuinely care about their drivers and know them by name.
I loved working at Witte as an Independent Contractor. They treated me well, offered flexibility in scheduling, and provided consistent work. I have no complaints about the company or work environment—I thoroughly enjoyed my time there!
Long periods of waiting due to appointments and receiving. LTL long-haul work. Limited home time, as weekends must be spent working to ensure a Friday return before restarting the cycle.
Great company for new drivers. After the first year, more benefits should be provided to employees. Their equipment—trucks and trailers—is top-tier, but they need better driver facilities and benefits, considering the demanding workload.
Witte Brothers is a fantastic company to work for. They have one of the best truck driving schools nationwide and offer competitive starting pay for first-year drivers.
I had the opportunity to travel through 46 of the lower 48 states. They kept me consistently on the road, helping me gain valuable experience. I’m grateful for what the company did for me.
I wouldn’t recommend this job. They push drivers to exhaustion and keep them out as long as possible with minimal home time. The pay is mediocre, and workplace relationships can be cutthroat.
I began my schooling with Witte in August 2020. If trucking is the right fit for you, they’ll help you get your CDL. They provide all the necessary support for passing tests and obtaining a license. This small, family-oriented company works with employees as long as they perform well. If you do your job, respect management and dispatch, they’ll take care of you. Pay is competitive, and I earned a great income in my first year.
One of the best trucking companies in America, on par with American Central Transport. Although I was fired for wrecking a truck, they still treated me professionally. I highly recommend them to any driver and would love to work there again. First-class people running a first-class operation.
A great place to start if you don’t require frequent home time. Limited career advancement opportunities for drivers. Compensation—including bonuses and dock pay—is average. The team here is excellent!
An incredible company to work for! Management knows every employee by name, rather than just a number. The pay is fantastic, and they’ll accommodate your home-time needs. I strongly recommend Witte Bros to anyone considering trucking.
I’ve been with Witte for five months, starting with their school and training program. At first, I was concerned due to some negative reviews, but my experience has been great. Anytime I had a question, I received a prompt answer, and any concerns I had were addressed. The pay is fair for new drivers. Most weekends, I’m home, and when I’ve worked past a weekend, it was only because I was asked—not forced—to help out. Equipment is well-maintained, though I’d prefer a newer truck, which should come in time. Overall, Witte is a great company for new drivers looking for a supportive workplace.
Good job, but some management issues. There are frequent problems, from misplaced trailers to long wait times for loading. The company relies heavily on computerization, which can cause inefficiencies.
Stick with the long-haul team, complete your assignments on time, and you’ll be treated well. They’re highly flexible when planning for time off, though remember that if you’re not driving, you’re not earning.
Not recommended for experienced drivers. While they claim expertise in frozen and cold LTL, new hires primarily receive low-paying truckloads.
