Company takes care of drivers if you are willing to work
I highly recommend Xpress Cargo, Inc and DXL to anyone in need of reliable and efficient trucking services. They truly prioritize their customers and deliver outstanding results. I will definitely be using their services again in the future.
Great place to work. Friendly and happy recruiting staff. When i found this company on google, i picked up the phone and called: it was a recruiter named Jennifer Jensen that answered the phone in a friendly manner. She gave me an overall details over the phone that i needed to know about the company. I was like "yes" .when i came for orientation she met me at the parking lot and walked me inside. Then it was Sehaj Sangha that was very friendly and patient. He made me feel like i was at home by the way he treated me. I also met the owner A very humble man . that's a famimly like place. And i feel blessed to be part of it.
I was hesitant in the beginning after hearing bad reviews but again people never tell their side of the story. I have had a completely positive experience. You should try it for yourself!!!
Travelling on i70e today apr 11 between 930 abd 10am cst and your driver hauling trailer r121 damn near killed me because he apparently doesn't know how to adjust his driving in windy rainy weather. Given that he was doing at least 80 in a 70 in the passing lane. Give this guy a colouring book and tell him to learn how to stay between the lines. His trailer swung into my lane a solid 3ft and forced me onto the shoulder. White tractor contract company name rizq
Been a good company so Far. I am getting enough miles
Very unprofessional company. Only care for themselves and making them money. What’s described in the bio is not true. Very very greedy company be aware, they make it sound good but it’s not trust me. Don’t say I didn’t give you a head up.
Very positive, my recruiter, Jennifer and tajh, orientation facilitator, so far, Good!
“Xpress cargo is thoroughly impressive with their services. The team was professional, efficient, and handle everything with care. They communicated with me every step of the way. The price was reasonable and there were no hidden fees or surprises. I highly recommend Xpress Cargo for anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy company.”
On time delivery for my cargo and great communication. What more does one want? Appreciate the services.
Don't work here. Worst experience by a trucking company. They are not honest company to work for. They don't fixed the truck when a major problem occurs, when comes to mechanical issue. Dispatch doesn't take there job seriously. Sloppy when comes to scheduling. They do not take your safety seriously. They have alot Dot tickets on there CSA record. Find a good truck driving job that honest and caring. Oh there not Pet friendly if they say they are.
Good company with miles. Good pay. Midwest to west coast. Outside of DC is as close as you'll get to the NE unless you ask them for a load for your special need. They are great about getting occasional loads outside of their lanes for your benefit.
Worst experience I’ve ever had with this company. Dispatching and safety sucks. They know how to eat money from somebody else’s paychecks. Even day-night stay on the road and their service is very poor. I will never recommend nobody else to work there.
So far I have had a smooth experience. There are some ups and downs that each company has however I have always had someone to help me.
Xpress Cargo is such a great company to work for! It is such a welcoming and warm environment filled with such caring, helpful, and hardworking leaders and co-workers. Everyone there puts all of their heart into their work and they are so dependable.☺️ I am so grateful to get to be a part of such an awesome team!
Been with the Company for almost 18 Years. Great Company for Drivers and employees.
Wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
This is a great place to work for drivers and office employees. They really care about their employees and its a friendly atmosphere. The owners and management team are very easy to work with and helpful. The pay is competitive and they make you feel wanted and will work with drivers to get them on the best lanes for their needs. Its one of the best companies out there and they are growing.
What is the best part of working at the company? Extended work hours and minimal compensation. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The constant battle over wages. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Slick, like a well-oiled machine. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Skilled truck repair workers. Subpar pay.
One of the worst workplaces I have experienced. There’s zero accountability for their equipment. Trailers often don’t function properly when picked up. Maintenance is a major issue, and when reported, it feels like the blame gets shifted onto the drivers. Forced dispatch is a reality, and long wait times are common.
What is the best part of working at the company? Flexible home time, decent route selection, and fair pay. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? You'll need an accountant! (1099 tax requirements). What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Overall, it’s alright—can’t complain too much. As long as you do your job, people treat you well. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Smooth as silk. Around 75% of loads are drop-and-hook.
Fair pay, good home time, and several dedicated routes. Dispatchers are cooperative when dealing with truck or load issues. Lease purchase is a viable option for newer drivers. Overall, a decent place to work.
Great for gaining experience. The work environment is relaxed. The key is communication—most people are understanding as long as expectations are clear.
Had a negative experience and wouldn’t return! Despite following instructions, my efforts weren’t appreciated. There seemed to be little understanding of how certain city routes work, making it frustrating to navigate.
Dispatchers are located overseas, making communication difficult. When available, the routes are worthwhile but highly inconsistent. Reliable trucks (Volvos). No issues with requesting time off.
Solo loads move quickly. New Volvo trucks come fully equipped with refrigerators, freezers, APU, and climate-controlled sleepers. Routes primarily cover Indiana-Ohio to Southern California, especially Los Angeles. High mileage with minimal downtime. Deliveries are rapid, with short waits at the docks. Tight warehouse docks are common. Westbound pickups often involve waiting during loading, usually in small warehouses. My usual pick-up spots were L.A., Salinas, CA, or Arizona below I-40. The return trips were excellent—fast unloads with drop-and-hook loads heading west. Minimal wait times overall. The pace is relentless—high-speed runs with minimal breaks. Competitive pay but demanding driving conditions. Home time isn’t great—I stayed out for seven weeks before submitting a request, which required approval 10 days in advance. Despite passing through my hometown twice a week, the tight schedule only allowed quick fuel stops. Ideal for drivers who prefer a small company that values hard work and extended runs. Expect high earnings and well-maintained equipment.
I enjoy working for Xpress Cargo—plenty of miles and flexible home time. I stay out longer than most, but if I need to get home, it’s not an issue. Solid benefits and friendly coworkers.
Pros: Home time is available after running for three to four weeks. Cons: Dispatch is rarely available when needed, doesn't return calls, and frequently assigns late loads. Loads can suddenly change without prior notice. Brokers get direct access to drivers' numbers without consent. Expect calls from international or third-shift dispatchers at odd hours, even around 3 AM. No communication between shifts or dispatchers. Sudden appointment changes happen mid-route without warning. Few benefits aside from expensive insurance.
Job expectations differed from what was discussed in orientation—travel locations and drop-and-hook plans were altered at the last minute. Live loads replaced pre-planned schedules. Dispatchers sometimes accept loads while I’m off-duty, something I should handle myself via the ELD system.
Xpress Cargo has a great company culture—everyone works together to improve operations. Their equipment is top-notch, and they prioritize maintenance. Drivers who want to keep moving have plenty of opportunities. Home time is flexible, though salary remains a concern.
