Their compressors are incredible
I’ve had them troubleshoot an issue in the middle of the night, and they were chill about it.
Considering them? That’s a step in the right direction mate. 👍
They’ve got all the bells and whistles, and it shows
There’s no substitute for experience. Good people work here
Be carefull, this is a dangerous place to work.
I like working at XNG and have since the day I started. It’s been a good ride so far. It’s a company I want to establish a career at and grow within. That’s right… worked at 7 different companies in just under 10 years before coming here and I’m planning to stay the long-haul. Can’t think of a better reflection on the company culture, growth opportunities, or salary expectations than that. If none of those were in place, I’d be ready to move on in another couple of months..
Very reliable company. Excellent customer service. Willing to go above and beyond for customers (as they should). Reasonable pricing structure.
Good company here.
This job had the potential to be one of the best local positions around, but the lack of focus on employee retention is evident in the constant turnover. This issue has damaged their reputation and made it challenging to attract quality staff. Upper management shows little interest in improving the situation or ensuring job satisfaction.
I signed on for the overnight shift in Charlton, Mass., and during onboarding, I was introduced to a complex pay schedule with varying rates. They assured me I’d earn “plenty of money here.” However, red flags appeared immediately. Their tractors are mostly outdated and repurposed from other fleets. The truck I used on my road test performed poorly and completely broke down upon returning to the yard. During training, I discovered that most employees at this terminal had quit within the past year, and the longest-serving driver had been there just seven months. I tried to give it a fair shot, but it became clear the company was dysfunctional from the top down. Employees disliked working there, and their systems, equipment, and management were subpar. Pay averaged $26 an hour with overtime after 40 hours—far too low for hauling hazmat and working overnight in all weather conditions. If they ever address these issues, it could be a decent job. Goodbye XNG—I kept the hardhat as a keepsake.
I was always upfront and dependable with management, and they treated me fairly in return. They set realistic expectations and showed compassion when I faced the loss of a family member. They worked with me to create a schedule that suited my personal life. The work was more demanding than other trucking jobs I’ve had, but the equipment was a weak point. Considering the economy, it’s understandable that replacing an entire fleet takes time. If I need work, I wouldn’t hesitate to return!
Management has room for improvement, and there’s no balance for personal life. However, if you’re after great pay without commitment, it’s worth considering as a temporary option. They also offer nice perks when you start, like allowing spouses to accompany you. Can’t deny it—they have great snacks!
I wouldn’t recommend this job to anyone outside the area or to those uncomfortable with biweekly pay. The Charlton location struggles with low morale and poor route planning.
Management doesn’t prioritize drivers and tends to side with themselves. It’s frustrating because, without drivers, there wouldn’t be a business—that’s just reality!
The work is straightforward if you know what you’re doing. The pay is decent, and there are plenty of opportunities to pick up extra shifts if you need the money. This is my first company as a driver, and so far, I’m enjoying it.
They maintain a consistent schedule week-to-week, which is helpful for my family. With two kids at home, knowing when I’ll be working makes life easier for all of us. My wife is happier since I started with XNG, even though I took a slight pay cut. They do a better job of looking after me here.
Do not consider this place. Managers are terrible—they bully and overwork employees, insult them, fail to pay vendors, and short employees on their paychecks.
This can be a good company to work for. The 12-hour shifts leave a lot of time off, though there’s limited room for advancement. I’ve learned a lot from the techs here, and overall, it’s a decent workplace.

The pay is excellent, but you’ll need to work hard for it. Still, it’s the best driving job I’ve ever had. The company is growing fast, and I don’t have much to complain about.
XNG offers great working conditions and ensures timely payments. The work is manageable, and they’re always implementing improvements, which makes it one of the better companies I’ve worked for.
There are always challenges during leadership transitions, and this one hasn’t been seamless. However, I’m optimistic about the company’s future and believe they’re moving in the right direction. I tend to focus on long-term goals, and the potential for growth at XNG looks promising.
I started on a day shift but was eventually forced to work nights, with my schedule changing five times within four months. XNG only has busy periods four months a year, making overtime almost impossible.
They start by making big promises about work volume and overtime but fail to deliver. Favoritism is common in dispatch, and seniority doesn’t count for much. Many drivers here struggle with basic skills, and I’ve witnessed multiple trucks break down. Equipment maintenance is a major issue, and safety concerns are often ignored. Only a few employees at Montrose genuinely care and deserve better. For anyone considering this role—don’t.
You’re only paid for driving time, with work hours ranging from 35–45 hours a week during busy winters and 24–30 hours in summer. Management shows favoritism, and accountability is lacking.
I drove for over a decade without a single issue. If you’re an experienced driver, this company is worth considering—they’ll ensure you spend most nights at home.
Some days are slower than others, but the company is generally fast-paced and dynamic. Friendly coworkers make it enjoyable to work here, and there are opportunities for growth.
What sets this company apart is the people. I love working with my colleagues, especially the management team. They bring energy and genuinely want you to succeed—but only if you’re willing to put in the effort. Training was also well-structured.
The techs who service the trucks are well-certified and knowledgeable. As any driver knows, a well-maintained rig is crucial—safety always comes first over money.
The pay and hours fit my schedule perfectly, making this the best driving job I’ve had. Unlike most companies, XNG ensures truckers can balance work and family. They truly stand out as one of the top-rated options.
XNG stands out for its unique approach to moving natural gas by truck. They have plenty of work available, and as a trucker, I’d rather see goods transported by truck than pipeline. While some may complain, it’s a good system for drivers who appreciate steady opportunities.
Schedules can change frequently, and the equipment isn’t well-maintained. Slip seating is chaotic, and pay is fair but has stipulations that can make it harder to achieve a good rate. Breakdowns are frequent, with long wait times for roadside assistance. While the operations and driver managers are capable, they’re restricted by upper management, which limits their ability to improve the situation.
Promises here often go unfulfilled. The site management seems controlled by the higher-ups, leading to a lack of empathy. Unfortunately, working here may have a negative impact on your life.
