Law enforcement agencies joined forces over the weekend for a targeted operation that resulted in 14 arrests and the recovery of 11 stolen vehicles. The police conducted the operation on Aug. 12. While the exact location of the arrests and vehicle seizures was not disclosed, it is known that East Precinct officers participated in the operation. The PPB confirmed that all arrests were made in connection with stolen vehicles or pre-existing warrants. In addition to the arrests, 12 vehicles were towed during the operation. One firearm, two moulage handguns and a stun gun were seized during the operation.

This is the second time the East Precinct Response Team has successfully utilized information from the Facebook group "PDX Stolen Vehicles" in their auto theft efforts. The NRT is a specialized unit dedicated to fighting crime and quality of life issues in specific neighborhoods.

While the identities of those apprehended have not been released, this operation serves as a reminder that law enforcement is working tirelessly to keep our neighborhoods safe.
