Tragedy struck in the McKinley section of Minneapolis on Memorial Day evening as a boy was shot and killed. The incident occurred in the 3700 block of Bryant Avenue North around 5:30 p.m., and police were soon summoned to the scene. Upon arrival, police located the wounded boy lying in an alley and immediately transported him to North Memorial Health. Unfortunately, the young boy was declared dead at the hospital.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office would provide the victim's identity and age at a later date, according to police. No one has been taken into custody in relation with the killing, and authorities are urging anyone with info to report the incident.
