SBP officers conducted a significant drug raid, finding millions of dollars in drugs in a semi-trailer loaded with rocks. The find was made April 12 at the Del Rio International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas. CBP officers selected a tractor trailer carrying a load of rocks to the U.S. for a secondary search using a canine unit and non-intrusive inspection systems. Upon inspection, officers found 63 packages containing a total of 163 pounds of cocaine hidden in the floor of the flatbed trailer.

The street value of the cocaine was estimated at $2.1 million. CBP officers seized the drugs, which had been smuggled into the country. This incident is another example of CBP's ongoing efforts to intercept illegal drugs before they reach our communities. The agency has taken numerous measures to interdict drug trafficking at the border, including the use of advanced technology and highly trained personnel.

Drug trafficking is a serious problem that has a devastating impact on individuals and communities across the United States. The illegal drug trade not only fuels drug addiction and crime but also contributes to other societal problems such as poverty and homelessness. It is essential that we continue to work together to combat this problem and prevent dangerous drugs from entering our country.

CBP officials encourage anyone with information about drug trafficking to contact them immediately. The agency relies on community tips to help identify and intercept illegal drugs before they can cause harm. By working together, we can keep our communities safe and rid them of the scourge of drugs.
