On Sunday afternoon, a shooting occurred in a parking lot located in the 4700 block of 13th Avenue South in Fargo, resulting in a victim with a gunshot wound who later arrived at a nearby hospital. The Fargo Police Department was immediately notified and dispatched officers to investigate the incident.
Through surveillance footage and witness statements, the police were able to identify the suspect's vehicle and its license plate number. In collaboration with the Moorhead Police Department, a felony stop was conducted on the vehicle, and the suspect was apprehended. The suspect was identified as Gregory Barry, a 38-year-old resident of Fargo, and he was subsequently charged with attempted murder and reckless endangerment.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover fully. The investigation is ongoing, and the police have not yet released a motive for the shooting.
Gregory Barry is currently being held at the Clay County Jail, awaiting trial. The authorities have not revealed any prior criminal record of the suspect. The Fargo Police Department has urged anyone with any information about the incident to come forward and assist them in their investigation.
