Tragedy struck in Maryland on the morning of Tuesday, when 3 cars, which involved a tractor-trailer, crashed on I-95. The accident involving a Dodge, a Toyota pick-up truck and a trailer caused chaos and destruction on the busy highway.
Reports from the police, the accident began when a male driving a Dodge southbound on I-95 crashed into a Toyota pick-up truck. As a result crashed the Toyota to flip over into the middle lane and a Woody tractor trailer traveling in the oncoming northbound lane crashed with the Charger. The crash scene was a chaotic and terrifying sight and early rescuers worked tirelessly to free the people trapped under the wreckage.
Sadly, the driver, whose name was Delando Woody, did not survive the crash and was declared dead. The driver of the Charger was transported to hospital in the capital for medical care, while the two passengers in the Toyota pick-up were transported to the hospital for further medical care.
The accident caused serious delays and disruption to highway traffic and the investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. The Maryland State Police are urging drivers to exercise caution and vigilance when driving on busy roads and highways to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
