After a month-long robbery spree in a northeast Hillsboro neighborhood, the Hillsboro Police Department has finally caught the suspect. The community can now rest easy knowing that the burglar has been apprehended and is no longer a threat to their safety. The suspect had been caught on camera multiple times during his crime spree, wearing the same outfit each time. Residents in the neighborhood were relieved to hear of his capture, as they had been living in fear of being targeted next.
FOX 12 spoke with some of the victims in the neighborhood prior to the arrest. They recounted their experiences of being robbed and how it had affected their sense of security. “It’s just really unsettling knowing that someone has been in your home and taken your belongings,” said one victim.
The Hillsboro Police Department has yet to release the name of the suspect, but they have reassured the community that they are working hard to bring justice to those affected by his crimes. The community is grateful for their efforts and for finally catching the perpetrator.
