Connecticut was shaken on a fateful morning as a semi truck hauling tandem trailers suffered a catastrophic mishap, resulting in a horrifying plunge. In Connecticut, a semi truck carrying tandem trailers was involved in an accident that caused them to separate and fall off the roadway. The incident occurred on August 18th at around 8 a.m. on the bridge over Center Street in Sandy Hook. According to reports from The Newtown Bee, one of the trailers and the tractor went off the roadway and crashed onto the southern shoulder of Center Street, leaving the other trailer behind on the overpass.

Fortunately, the driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries during the accident and was seen walking around and speaking with police officers. First responders were quick to arrive on the scene and worked to contain a diesel spill that was caused by the wreck. As a result of the incident, traffic was detoured around the crash scene.
