Authorities have issued a warning about buying trailers at auctions after a picture of a badly damaged trailer appeared on Twitter. The agency published the image on Wednesday, together with a message about the potential risks associated with buying equipment at auctions.

The post, circulated by the authority, reads, "Buying cars at auction could be a risky deal. There could be anything amiss with the machinery and you won't realize it till you have delivered it to your house. In this case, we are confident that all people spotted the flaw...". The car pictured was reportedly bought at an auction and was badly damaged, raising concerns about the safety of purchasing equipment this way.

While the post amused some social media users, others were left with questions about the fate of the owner of the damaged trailer. "The issue is, was it taken out of action or was he allowed to return it to their shop for repair or removal?" one user asked. Another user humorously remarked that the missing piece of the trailer made it "smaller than a truck", while another joked that the trailer has now become a "new kind of open dry cargo vessel".

The incident serves as a reminder that buying equipment at auctions can be fraught with risks that buyers should consider carefully before making a purchase. While auctions can offer lucrative offers, the equipment must be carefully inspected to ensure it is in good condition and meets all safety standards.
