Late on Saturday night, a shooting in Uptown Minneapolis left 2 men injured and hospitalized. According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Emerson Avenue South just after 10:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had been struck by shrapnel. He was taken to Hennepin Healthcare and is expected to make a full recovery. Another person arrived at Methodist Hospital with gunshot wounds that are non-life threatening.

The gunfire also resulted in nearby apartments and vehicles being hit by bullets, according to the MPD. The officers have launched an investigation into the incident, and no arrests have been made at this time. This incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing issue of gun violence in the United States, and the need for more comprehensive measures to address this problem. The MPD has urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist with the investigation.
