The accident occurred at the intersection of Route 33 and Route 17 in Gloucester, Virginia around 3:45 p.m. on July 26. A logging truck was reportedly traveling on Highway 17 and attempting to turn onto Highway 33 when it lost control and overturned, causing logs to spill onto the road.

Unfortunately, the falling logs struck four vehicles and a fifth vehicle crashed into another log lying on the road. As a result of the accident, two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the truck, Prinsal Graves, was charged by police with reckless driving and failure to maintain control of a vehicle. Authorities also cited speed as a contributing factor in the accident.
