A Texas hotel encountered a catastrophic event on Sunday morning when a semi-truck smashed into the Borger Ambassador Inn located at the intersection of E 3rd and S. Florida streets in Borger, Texas, causing significant damage to the building.
As reported by ABC 7 Amarillo, the accident occurred approximately around 9 a.m. when the semi-truck heading west on E 3rd crossed over the center median, drove over a traffic light median, drove across the right turn lane, jumped the curb, and plowed through the hotel parking lot before finally crashing into the side of the building.
The truck driver was fortunate enough to sustain non-life-threatening injuries in the accident, and no one inside the hotel was injured. However, the building was evacuated as a precaution, and police are still investigating the cause of the crash. This incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers that large vehicles pose on the road, as well as the importance of safe driving practices. It is a fortunate event that no one was seriously injured in the accident.
Nonetheless, the damage to the hotel is significant, and the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. We hope that the authorities can determine the cause of the accident quickly and that the hotel can recover from this unfortunate event.
