A tragic crash Wednesday at an intersection in El Reno, Oklahoma, killed one person and destroyed a semi-truck. The collision occurred around 12:40 p.m. at the intersection of Route 66 and Radio Road. According to KFOR News, a sedan traveling northbound on Radio Road failed to stop before a stop sign at the intersection with Route 66 and collided with a semi-truck traveling eastbound on Route 66. The collision threw the motorist from the vehicle, resulting in his death.
The semi-truck lost control and fell into a ditch, where it caught fire and was destroyed. Fortunately, the driver of the truck was able to get out of the cab without sustaining serious injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and at this point it is unclear what caused the motorist to ignore the stop sign and collide with the semi-truck.
