On March 9, a lorry carrying a grain trailer got stopped at a railway junction at the intersection of Ross Street and Highway 77 in Marion, Arkansas. The accident was caught on camera by a passerby who witnessed the events that followed. The driver acted quickly and managed to detach the trailer from the tractor just in time to avoid a catastrophic collision with an oncoming locomotive. Minutes later the train collided with the locomotive, derailing the train.

The video of the collision between the locomotive and the semi-trailer went viral, sparking widespread concern about the dangers of not knowing your surroundings. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. Police told the railway company had been alerted to the situation before the accident, but it is unclear how long it took to respond.
