The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is hunting for a motorist who caused a major crash involving three commercial vehicles in the Tampa area on Thursday morning. The unfortunate event took place at mile marker 273 on I-75. According to FHP, the driver of a green Toyota sedan recklessly cut off a dump truck that was heading southbound on I-75. This caused a domino effect that resulted in the dump truck and two semi-trucks colliding with each other.
As a result of the accident, the southbound lanes of I-75 had to be closed for several hours, causing a massive traffic jam in the surrounding areas. The authorities are now working hard to locate the driver of the green Toyota sedan and bring them to justice for causing the accident. Eyewitnesses to the incident are being asked to come forward with any information they may have that can help the FHP with their investigation. The FHP has also released a statement urging all drivers to be cautious and responsible while on the roads to prevent similar accidents from happening in the future.
