The Dodge Nitro, traveling southbound, collided with the flatbed trailer as it sat blocking the roadway, causing the fatal accident. The truck driver was not harmed in the incident.

The two victims have been identified as 40-year-old mother, Crystal Renea Garcia, and her 13-year-old daughter, Marissa Garcia.
