A fatal accident occurred on Wednesday, May 17th in Mont Belvieu, Texas, after a semi-truck driver attempted a u-turn through the grassy shoulder of Eagle Drive[. The incident took place just after 11 a.m. and tragically resulted in the deaths of a 40-year-old mother and her 13-year-old daughter. A two-year-old girl was also in the car at the time but appeared to have escaped unharmed. She was taken to a hospital in Houston as a precautionary measure.

According to reports from Click 2 Houston News, the lowboy tractor trailer was traveling northbound on Eagle Drive when the driver decided to make the u-turn, causing the truck to become stuck and block both lanes of the roadway. The Dodge Nitro, traveling southbound, collided with the flatbed trailer as it sat blocking the roadway, causing the fatal accident. The truck driver was not harmed in the incident.

The accident has left the community in grief and shock as they mourn the loss of two lives. The two victims have been identified as 40-year-old mother, Crystal Renea Garcia, and her 13-year-old daughter, Marissa Garcia. The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses and support for the surviving family members.

The tragic accident serves as a reminder of the importance of caution and safety on the road, especially when it comes to making u-turns and other potentially dangerous maneuvers. It is crucial for all drivers to be mindful of their surroundings and to take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of themselves and others on the road.
