An apparent shootout between people in two cars in southeast Portland early Saturday morning. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
As per the PPB report, officers were summoned to the scene around 3 am, near the intersection of Southeast Foster Road and Southeast 92nd Avenue. Upon arrival, they found two establishments and a car that had been struck by bullets. Although the vehicle was occupied at the time, nobody was hurt. A bystander captured the moment of the incident on camera and shared the video with FOX 12. The footage depicts a white SUV cruising past and firing several shots. Additional shots can be heard as the SUV drives off.
The PPB has yet to make any arrests in connection with the case. However, the Enhanced Community Safety Team has been enlisted to investigate the accident further.
Shootouts like these have become an unfortunate occurrence in Portland, causing widespread alarm among locals. Thankfully, this one ended without any casualties. The authorities are working diligently to bring the perpetrators to justice and to ensure the safety of the public. Such incidents serve as a reminder of the importance of community cooperation and vigilance in identifying and reporting suspicious activity.
