In a tragic incident earlier this year, a deadly chain reaction crash occurred in Arizona, and investigations have now revealed that the truck driver involved was using TikTok moments before the collision. The crash took place on January 12 on the eastbound lanes of I-10 near the Chandler Boulevard off-ramp in Chandler, Arizona. The driver, 36-year-old Danny G. Tiner, was arrested on Thursday, June 29th.

Initially, Tiner claimed that he was "acknowledging a work message" on his work tablet at the time of the crash. He stated that when he looked up, he was already too close to a line of stopped traffic, making it impossible for him to slow down in time to avoid a collision. Tiner's truck collided with 2 vehicles, pushing them into another semi-truck and 2 additional vehicles. Tragically, two cars became trapped between the second semi-truck and other vehicles, resulting in a fiery explosion that claimed the lives of five individuals.

However, further investigations into Tiner's phone usage history by the FBI and DPS have revealed a shocking revelation. It was discovered that Tiner had been scrolling through TikTok at the exact moment of the wreck. This finding has led to serious consequences for Tiner, as he has now been booked into jail on multiple charges. He is facing five counts of manslaughter, four counts of endangerment, and one count of tampering with physical evidence. All of these charges are considered crimes.
