Tragedy struck in the early hours of Sunday morning in northeast Portland when a gunfire left 1 person dead and two other people injured. The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) received a report of the incident at approximately 3:30 a.m. on the 6500 block of Northeast Killingsworth Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found three individuals who had been shot.

The man who had sustained the most severe injuries was rushed to a hospital, but tragically he passed away shortly after his arrival. As of now, the man has not been identified. Meanwhile, a man and a woman who had also been injured were treated on the spot by paramedics.
The incident serves as a reminder of the tragic consequences of gun violence and the need for community members to come together to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. The suspect responsible for the shooting had fled the scene before the police came. As of now, no arrests have been made, and homicide detectives are investigating the accident.
