Early Sunday morning, a devastating fire broke out at a home located on Jackson Quarry Road in rural land outside of North Plains in western Washington County. According to Tualatin Valley Fire Rescue, the fire took nearly two hours to put out and resulted in the complete loss of the home. The fire department received the call just after 2 a.m. and immediately dispatched firefighters to the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered that the back of the house was on fire and quickly began an aggressive fire attack to prevent the flames from spreading to the neighboring building. However, due to an unstable second floor, firefighters had to utilize alternative attack methods to combat the blaze.
